Alternate title: "Can You Beat Oblivion as a Pokemon Trainer"
The funny thing about this comment is I once had a pokeball mod installed where I just caught every NPC in the imperial city.
@@ArtisChronicles gotta catch them all
Waiting for "Can you beat Pokemon Emerald with only a mysterious escaped prisoner!?"
Or a Shin Megami Tensei protagonist lol
Alternate comment you came down here.
I'm a pr- ...oh, ok. I see how it is.
Oh if only he wasn’t an essential NPC...
Martin: "I'm a pries-"
Stop it already it, Martin, we know it.
Unless you need something, let's continue on to Weynon Priory
Do you need a priest?
>even though his hands are not magical in any way
He's a daedra. His claws are basically like little tiny daedric weapons, and daedric weapons can harm ghosts.
Not to mention that, by virtue of being a summoned creature, he himself is inherently magical, which is all you need to be able to touch a ghost, so...
It's actually because its hand to hand is above 50. :)
Wait, hold on, pause pause pause! David's a Gatorclaw! Fallout: Oblivion confirmed.
Bethesda: *Sweet mother. Sweet mother send your child onto me.*
I challenge them to do a glitchless run
I loved the Conjuration in Oblivion, zombies and skeletons are awesome. The noises the zombies make are genuinely quite creepy. Conjuration in Skyrim is nowhere near as cool.
Yeah and the variety of summons is incredible, I played a Conjurer/Assassin in my first run and when I opened the Chorrol mages guild shop I was astonished
@@W7RSON Yeah and when you add in being able to make your own spells Skyrim's selection looks even more embarrassing. I really hope TESVI takes a LOT of mechanics from Oblivion, skill progression was way better too it was awesome feeling like you got better level by level, perks are dull on their own.
But yeah Oblivion Conjuration is so cool, if a little overpowered at times but all high tier magic is anyway. I think what helps a lot is just how many Daedra there are in the game, some of which are super cool like the Daedroth, being able to summon a massive crocodile thing is always badass.
To be fair the actual presentation of conjuring creatures in skyrim was a lot better, it really felt like you were summoning them from oblivion.
@@Centurious365 I mean I guess but it has a whole 5 years on Oblivion and it's all in all not that huge a step up.
@@Centurious365 I mean pf course it had better animations it was a 5 year span between TES IV and TES V but the actual Skyrim summons are nothing compared to the ones from Oblivion
12:42 lore Nerd PSA: David's physical body is made of Daedric creatia. Thus his claws are as magical as a bound Daedric sword 🤣
I don't believe you. Cite a scientific paper.
(/s)
I can't wait to see all the Cyberpunk 2077 challenge runs. This goes for you, MahDryBread, Senza, Mitten Squad, etc.
It would be cool but that’s assuming the game is ever actually released
So, not before the new year.
I mean yea, that would be cool...
too bad we'll have to wait til 2077 for it.
hopefully dante ravioli too 🙏
Will there be all that many really? It's going to be a pretty long game surely.
Oblivion: Friendship is Magic
You are quite the impressive artist, Goose. I just read in a comment this morning that you draw all your thumbnails.
You should've saw his older thumbnails,quite...pretty
chesse mchesse are we talking about fallout
@@chessemchesse3676 what was the old channel? I've heard him mention it a few times, and watched the pokemon video he posted here from it, too.
@@popejoeii think it was still this sort of thing, but not as professional
Favourite summon in any video game?
Obviously the Stand... I mean Stardust Guardian from Terraria
I agree with this as a summoner though I play on console
That run is giving me some deep-deep flashbacks of my first childhood trip to Oblivion. I summoned different creatures and was hiding behind their back until they beat the hell out of everyone. What can I say? I was a very shy and easily scared child.
>Quelaag

Dark souls challenge when?
3:30 Nice to know I'm not the only one who carries around a good-luck skull.
Not going to lie, when I clicked on this video I thought that the title said "Skyrim" instead of "Oblivion".
Yeah I though he was doing a harder version of the first conjuration run
That hero music in the background was superb
Switching between spiffing Brit and goose is like having an angel and a devil on you shoulders. If the challenge is to beat the game naked with a spoon, one uses a normal spoon and barely scrapes by while the other creates a spoon that rivals an atomic bomb.
I love the way you narrate your videos, and I’m so glad you did the tutorial. I know not everyone does, but it helps the story you tell.
I feel proud to be named dennis
My favorite summon would be Bahamut in the FF7 Remake solely for when you summon him in the Arena during the second playthrough. The announcers actually have unique voice lines for the moment you summon him there during one of the Story fights.
This made realize how lackluster conjuration is in skyrim
you're video output and the quality of them is outstanding, keep up the great work. Especially for going through the torture we put you through.
Me in 3rd person looking down from a high place as my headless zombie beats the doodoo out of all my enemies.
I love the oblivion content, I know it’s an older game but I wish more people would make videos on it
i wish skyrim had those summons. they are so nice.
Fun Fact if you level up your un armed attack enough in oblivion you to can get the ability to punch a ghost with your bare hands
your intro hasn’t even finished and I’ve already liked without realising 🤣
"Good people of the Imperial City, welcome... to the Arena!" Everyone read that in the same voice.
I really love your art. The character is so pretty. Nice bonus on top of the fun video.
12:17 Worse, all Ebony is the blood of Aedra, mostly Lorkhan/Shor since he got fucked up by the other Gods for tricking them into making the world. And while he's not one of the 9 Divines, he's the divine spark behind Tiber Septim.
My favorite summon was always Titan from the ff series.
Always good to see these come out, you're getting better and better. Soon you'll be Big League G00SE
Wow, the summons in Oblivion look pretty cool! Skyrim's felt pretty disappointing after the flame atronach.
Yeah as someone who uses conjuration all the time in skyrim I have to say oblivions conjuration looks way better
The Skyrim flame atronach is...hot.
no one gonna mention how a guard just became the new king all hail Guard
I was hoping you would take a bash at the oblivion side of this challenge.
I really enjoy your challenges and look forward to them every saturday!
Ahh.... Oblivion, you hot mess
The only game so broken that levelling up will almost exclusively make you weaker, and never stronger
So true hahaha. In my first run I was wondering why suddenly enemies were much more difficult after leveling up...
Not if you're smart enough to use magic and spell crafting, and not dumb enough to use any kinds of melee attacks.
@@JohnnyCasey I played as a mage, basicly conjuration and ilusion and destruction. The increment in magicka due to leveling up is far less important than the increment in strength and resistance of the enemies. So, imo level up just makes the game more difficult no matter what.
@@ketomousketo3345
_"basicly conjuration and ilusion and destruction"_ - That's where you got it wrong, because you forgot to include the two most broken spell school in the game at your disposal; Restoration and Mysticism.
Make some buff spells on yourself to have over 2k magicka, and cast 100% magic resistance/damage reflect and you're practically invulnerable. As for enemies being too tough to kill, stack some different weakness spells and one big boom spell should do the trick most of the time.
Magic in this game is ungodly powerful, but a lot of people don't utilize it much, and they ended up complaining about the stiff level scaling - which **IS** bad, but not necessarily problematic if you know what you're doing.
Sneaking is very op in this game!
Um My name is David and our hands are most definitely magical thank you.
Maybe, but like we got imps and shit
Hi
Conjuration in Oblivion is kind of a funny thing as conjured creatures become a lot stronger on higher difficulties due to how the oblivion difficulty scaling works.
Saturdays are always a highlight for me because of these videos
Agreed
Journeyman in hand to hand allows you to punch ghosts.
I love the Shivering Isles summons. Especially the hot lady summons ;)
Yay thanks Brandon! Love these ES challenges
Loved the Sonic Underground Reference there, far as I know it was only in underground that sonic had the munchies for chilli dogs.
I did a max difficulty run of Oblivion as a Pude mage. In Oblivion the difficulty doesn't affect your summons. So I basically was forced to do this challenge while being invisible so I didn't get one shot lol
Step 1: Make a 100% Chameleon set.
Step 2: Max Conjuration and buy all the spells.
Step 3: Enjoy setting up fights to the death with whatever you want.
hey goose man great vid love your challenge stuff it is A lot of fun to watch.:)
I can’t believe I’ve only just noticed this, I really hope it’s not a coincidence, Baurus the Blade???
what do you mean?
@@theoburgess4700 the alliteration
David the Street Shark?
JAWESOME!
Great video!!
Man, I love Oblivin, even if it's a bit janky and... bizarre at times, lol
As for my favorite summon, uhm... does it have to be magic? If not, I'd say they were the homunculus in Ragnarok Online. They were a pretty neat addition to the alchemists, and the quest and means to create one was so much fun!! But they function more like mascots than regular summons.
I feel so unsatisfied that we only got a handful of summond
I've often asked myself this question. Thanks for answering 🙏
Very nice ! There seems to be much more variety in summons in Oblivion than in Skyrim. That's pretty cool. Also, cute thumbnail as always ^^
Oh there is a lot more variety in everything in oblivion, but especially the Magic stuff got gutted for Skyrim compared to what you can do in oblivion, heck in Oblivion a certain DLC even gave you the ability to create your own spells
@@howlingzangetsu That's kind of nice. I always like Tyranny's way of handling spells.
Decent run! Thanks for uploading`
A weird anime girl wakes up in a medieval prison and amasses a harem of otherworldly monsters in her quest to save the world.
Is this an isekai?
Favorite Summon: DOS2’s incarnate champion. It’s destruction incarnate. Also, “attacks ghosts with bare hands which breaks the laws of the universe”. Um, no. If you get good enough at punching you can punch ghosts.
My friend gets mad at me when I play a summoner in DOS2 because I hard focus summoning till I get my Champion. And my friend likes to play tanks. But the Champion just does that job better for a good while.
Ace Wolf456 especially in lone wolf
@@carbonbeaker409 Yeah, which is most of what we do, since it's just me and him. Often times I have my build fairly well set up before even leaving the first island.
Ace Wolf456 *squeaks quietly in having one character make it past act 1. Incidentally, it was a summoner. I have a stormchaser close behind.
@@carbonbeaker409 Oh no, I've also only had one character make it out of act one, but they are always well on their way before we stop.
I will never let you forget walmart muffin squad
I actually did this back in the day without realizing it 😂😂😂
You are very awesome, love your challenges and games you play. Quick side note: Ghosts take damage from Silver, Magical or Daedric Weapons and Daedroth are Daedric in origin, so all good :D
Planetar summon in Baldurs Gate II is an angelic beast. You can really see where TES was inspired by D&D especially with conjuration being generally op
One of the better Skyrim CZcamsrs
(as I was typing this he starts playing oblivion)
• ImJustBoosted • he plays lots of games not just Bethesda
Love the video want to see you do a skyrim necromancer only challenge.
Favorite summon in any video game? That has to be summon big cheese in unicorn tails :)
I am almost hearing the pokemon opening song right now.
Hell yeah another goose video
David really is just built different
Nailed the cough gag.
#AGAIN
You know what's funny about those rats? There's a glitch to max out your sneak involving them.
Its ok skelly, you go when you feel like it.
David can attack ghost be cause he in his being is magic
This is just a great video.
I really like your style of challenge run commentary, this is awesome. I need to watch other videos of yours as well ^^
Quick note, about the music choice at ~2:27 (and similar occurrences, since the song is on repeat), where the guitar gets rather high pitched for more than a second: I don't know whether this is a common issue for other people, but the drawn out high pitches just overpower every other sound for me, and make it super difficult to listen to the commentary. I had to rewatch that part a few times. I have a tinnitus since forever, so that probably has something to do with it
Thanks for making such good content
There’s a lot of summons in games that I love but my favorite has to be the Thrall of Wrath from Tera. Massive summon that lasts for a few seconds but does insane damage
Always come back to Oblivion 💪🙏
Recently made a character with a custom class whose only method of attack is conjured creatures (Fucks-Many-Dogs the Argonian Conjurer), so this was a cool recommendation
Honestly I love the elementals in Skyrim. I know the variety is low. But it makes a rock paper scissors effect in combat.
Using frost damage against warriors stamina.
Shock against mages mana pool.
And Fire for extra range / burn damage.
David can attack the ghost with his barehands because he is a deadra. Deadric weapons and creatures can attack ghosts.
Finally someone who knows the game...
My favorite summon would have to be from Terraria, specifically the Calamity Mod. It's a rather early game summon called the Belladonna Staff. It agros at a pretty far distance, attacks through blocks, and it's attacks pierce as well as every few shots it shoots more projectiles. There's a few summons later on that are similar, but they never have piercing shots.
These videos are great
I really love this intro
It's like Pokemon, but you'll be attacked too.
I guess chalange would be getting all the summons then cycling them? When one dies/expires summon next on the list, when you reach end of the list start at the beginning
Favorite summon has gotta be good ol Solaire. Either him or thay beast Black Iron Tarkus
It would be fun to do a Oblivion challenge, only starter gear,ONLY
This just made me buy oblivion again. AGAIN!
From David and Goliath to David THE Goliath.
Wow you really named your dremora spider Queelag
love the dark souls reference
I started watching because of the Waifu’s in the thumbnails. I kept watching for the obscure story telling.
11/10 content
I love Saturdays
My fave summon in any Video Game has to be Alaxander from the Final fantasy series!
Me an avid oblivion player who plays on the hardest difficulty already knowing the answer as you practically have to use conjuration on the hardest difficulty.
Hey can you beat Torchlight II with only skills?
David cares not for the rules of the universe! David cares only for his friends... and food
I love these videos!!!!!!
Before evenwatching the video yes yes and yes lol I've almost done it on every playthrough actually, besides my weird builds in other playthroughs like plate wizard and reflect builds lol. Conjuration is just so awesome.
Edit: Daedroth lol, daedroth and frost atronach is all I gotta say. You'll thank me if you ever attempt this again xD
What's the music remix of the oblivion theme In background called?
Hey, loved the video
How about a fallout new vegas challenge next? It would be awesome
My favorite way to play
Nice Dark souls reference
