Anne: I need more love and attention and understanding
Queen: How about a cookie?
Anne gets the props she deserves now thankfully and finally!
It's interesting that in this season of the Crown--if I'm remembering correctly--Princess Anne, Princess Margaret, and Camilla P-B all mention at one point or another how impossible it was to compete with Diana. Even more interesting, the only two older women who didn't seem to feel any jealousy at all were the Queen herself and PM Thatcher, maybe because each felt secure in her own sphere of power and influence.
Christopher Hitchens was no fan of the monarchy, but even he noticed the rank hypocrisy of people falling all over themselves for pretty Princess Di while having no use for Princess and who did do real work for real charities and not just "pretty princess photoshoots."
Princess Diana going to an AIDS ward and hugging children who the world had deemed dead to society and showing that AIDS had no ability to spread by touch broke down numerous barriers not just here in America, and was by NO means just a “pretty princess shoot”
Hitch's death was a big loss for us.
I don’t think anyone gave her a second thought.
Brother, she almost got assassinated once
@@Adri_Unsung you mean kidnapped, nobody ever tried to assassinate Princess Anne, the Queen yes, but not Anne
@@DaveFisher-cq2dr Oh well, Kidnapped. That's way better and totally ok.
@@boomslangCA you fool, how is that better or ok? it would have been horrible if that had actually happened to her
She wasn't a squeaky wheel.
Anne has more 'guts' than charlie, just sayin
The princess royal never asked at 6 to be praised.Or?
Go out to make the headwinds. She just does her work and gets on with it so I can see why She is annoyed
Good to see that Anne has no bitterness against Diana….
Hey, good morning! ⛅
Buenos dias

Good morning (assuming it is still morning in your location).
Good morning
Hi ❤
What happened to the blanket they were sitting on it just disappeared
They are filthy rich!! You think someone wasn’t there to grab it for them?
Do Anne and Sophie get on well? It seems as if Edward hit the jackpot with his wife.
Yes it seems everybody Loves Sophie
She’s the not so pretty one like Leah in the Bible. Rachel was the beautiful one. Jacob worked 14 years for Rachel. Beauty and the Beast. Everyone has some weaknesses. No one in life has it easy. Life is ironic.
Leah was a jerk too. She got with her sister’s boyfriend by force. If anything Princess Diana is like Leah
Was she really jealous of Diana?
I'm not sure she was so much jealous of Diana as feeling invisible in a public sphere where Diana's every move was newsroom fodder. Anne, as a princess in her own right, was historically expected not to be as busy with her charity work as she was, but instead to move to the background as a wife and mother and let her brothers and their wives shine. However, a) Anne was more keen than even she'd admit to do her work on what she cared about and b) the scandals surrounding her sisters-in-law put the state of her own marriage under a microscope and found it in trouble, particularly since her husband was getting away with his own cheating but her liaison with Peter Cross was somehow the one being reported on.
@@kellyvaters1689 noone noticed Anne, when Di came along. Noone was bothered about the state of her marriage
jealous isn't the right word but she did resent her. she was made HRH The Princess Royal, one hears, because she said that she wouldn't curtsey to her.
@@prismaticmarcus Wasn't she already Princess Royal? Doesn't that just come with the territory?
@@harringt100 no, it's a title that's given by the sovereign, like Prince of Wales
Bet lots of the bootlickers forgot about Annes affair with Peter Cross.
No, but if they have, it's because Anne handled herself with discretion and class and didn't land on every magazine cover or in every interview chair to talk about the state of her marriage or her troubles. She just kept her head down and kept working/staying out of the limelight. Eventually, her brothers made such public spectacles of themselves and their marriages that it was easy for her indiscretion to fall by the wayside. She should probably thank Charles and Andrew for making such huge productions of themselves, allowing her to be mostly left in peace. LOL Anne has never had any use for the press, therefore she didn't take the bait when asked about the state of her marriage or anything else. Her brothers fell over themselves to make explanations and to tell their tales of woe.
@@pinkosmondfan So it makes it ok that Anne adultery is ok? What the hell is wrong with you people?
She and her husband both had affairs. They werent happy. But they didnt live their lives in the tabloids and raised their children well. @annhewett9622
@@annhewett9622what are you talking about? Nobody said that adultery is okay. They said that Anne was discreet and managed to keep her private life out of the press.
@@t3hpenguinofd00mmaybe it was because no one cared ? 😂 I mean come on, SHE HAD AN AFFAIR and because it wasn’t “in the tabloids” that makes it ok ?
Recently, I said, I don’t think Anne was pleasant to ANY of her bother’s wives.
A very unpleasant, and sour woman.
How lame. As if anyone ever shared their personal conversations with Netflix. Just another made up story
Terrible acting
Boo hoo stop crying. Journalists aren't your pets.
