- Time to fly home after our Marella Discovery American Cruise 2023. What an amazing time we had. Cannot believe how quickly the time went. After flying home, we give you our overview of the holiday as well as our favourite moments. If Marella ever do this itinerary again, we would definitely look to book! Thank you to everyone for coming on this journey with us. We really appreciate all your support and we hope to see you soon on our next adventure.

How handsome do you both look in the opening picture 😁. Anyway, we're just home from the same cruise and itinerary you were both on. We enjoyed the port stops, great experience. Agree that the sea days were not really for us (we like to be out and about more) The food for us was fine and we had no complaints about it. The evening shows were very enjoyable. We thought the staff were lovely and overall think it was definitely worth the money we paid. We definitely agree with your summary.

Hi guys, enjoyed your videos :) I am heading off at the end of the month on the same 14 day cruise. Have you any advice before we go or any tips?
In regards to excursions, what would you recommend and where should you just do your own thing?
Also, what did you use for internet for your phone? Did you get a pre-paid USA sim for 4g or just use Wifi where and when possible?

Hi. Hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we did. Make sure you have your estas sorted and we recommend having a paper copy printed. They do check at the airport.
For excursions we definitely recommend the Bahamas trip, Kennedy Space Centre and South Beach in Miami. For Charleston, Key West and Dominican you can do your own thing. Fort Lauderdale was good but depends what you want to see.
New York has so many options. You do not need to book any excursions as the ship docks in Manhattan and you can walk to Times Square and Broadway in approx 25 minutes. Really easy walk. However, the traffic is intense and not everything is close together. The subway is supposed to be good and cheap but we did not use it so cannot confirm. We did excursions so we could see as much as possible in the time.
For internet we are with EE so just added the roam abroad pass for USA for the month to our phone contracts.
