Employers are so worried about being sued by applicants that they hire people they don't really want to have around them.

This is decent advice, but it does assume you see your job as more about having a good time rather than making good money. There are 10x-ers out there who might be weirdo mouth-breathers, but they can make the business just incredible compared to every other employee combined.
This criteria is also the main excuse for racists and bigots to not hire based on “people they don’t like” 😂
