Hi Mark & Jules - Lovely day and vlog - looks like a nice place to have a wander about - there’s something nice about walking along the waterside isn’t there. I imagine you need a bit of practice to go down the watercourse in a canoe. Well done to Liam also a great achievement. The campsite looked handy too. I’m sure your CV is more cozy than the glamping pods 😀 - all the best, David & Rachel 👍

Aww thank you both, your comment is lovely as always 😊 I agree, we love walking by the water it’s calming apart from the rapids which are a bit to fast for me! 😳😆
Yes we would much prefer our CV to ‘Glamp’ in! đŸ‘đŸ»
Cheers for your support on our little channel it’s much appreciated, best wishes & take care. đŸ––đŸ» M&J.

When i lived nearby it used to be great for dog walks, but over the years theyve constantly kept developing and redeveloping the site, trying to turn it into some sort of childrens summer camp. It used to be a nature reserve with free parking, woodland and a cafe. Particularly in summer its hell. Screaming kids, blaring music, burnt ground everywhere from tin foil BBQs and the associated rubbish..beer cans, , cigarette butts, pop bottles even dirty nappies. Ive seen homeless people living in tents in what's left of the woods. there are security cameras everywhere, the water has become full of algae with warnings not to let dogs into the water.
Years ago it used to be a serious sporting venue for canoeing, rowing and even national angling championships. There are almost no fish there.
    It now floods regularly.
When they put on events the locals stay well away from the place and tend to go elsewhere.
Its main use is as a training venue for canoeing and trying to turn it into some sort of theme park. I ended up loathing it.
Notts is undergoing an massive increase in population growth and enormous amounts of increased infrastructure. 4000 houses are being built near Holme Pierrepont as Phase 1 of 4. There are rumours of a bridge crossing from the A52 across it and into Colwick.
So glad I moved away and now live in rural England , where real nature and lakes are literally outside my front door.

    Hi
Nice video. How are you finding the CV40?
How’s the Elddis build quality? We were at the NEC and had a look round one
Testing the bed for size! How tall are you? I’m 6ft 1 and just fit
I see you have the Evolution, what lead time was it from Brownhills? Are they ok to deal with
I’m interested in the auto. Looks good

Hello Neal, thank you for your comment. It’s Jules here. We love our CV40 and are more than happy with our service from Brownhills. We ordered it at the NEC in 2019 under normal circumstances and picked it 5 days before the National Lockdown in March 2020. So far so good as far as the build quality but we did get it before all these shortages etc due to Covid. My other half Mark is 6ft 2 and copes in the van, we only bump our heads in the cab area but that’s a given in the CV’s when you first get them but you quickly learn 😂
