    Your comments on how the previous u-joint was installed is why some people shouldn't touch tools or try to repair things. You did a great job.

    They make a special tool for the vacuum bearing. Highly recommend doing manual lockout the vacuum was noted to engage and not my truck destroyed that bearing and ruined the teeth on that outside yoke to its failure. Another thing to note is on Excursion that axle is a Dana 50 not a 60 axle so it won’t mesh or make it pass the inner seal as well.

    very clever tool. however, it is still possible to bend the ears on the yokes if the ujoints are badly stuck because it has to yank on one yoke ear while it pushes on another, regardless of where the body of the tool applies pressure, if the cap is stuck it will try to move the ear with it because its theoretically welded itself to the ear. it does the same thing stress wise as a balljoint press does, but it is superior for assembly and i will be making a video as to why.

      Yeah these are a lot cheaper than the tiger tool versions and they do the exact same thing
