He was definitely using backing vocals he was miming throughout the performance. You could tell when he tapped his microphone to tell them to turn up his Mic so he could sing live. And his vocals sounded live from that point. But its ok. we all know he is a legit singer but i think his vocal stamina wasnt where he needed it to be so he used the backing track. But its great he also did sing some parts live and freestyled some dance moves and just had fun. We miss you Mike. You are definitely the KING OF POP. Love the track. One on my favorites.
Yeah I heard in his later years he used backing tracks more and more as he didn't feel he could always make it sound studio quality and didn't want to disappoint the fans by giving subpar performances.

He actually tried again to release “Unbreakable” as the third non-American single, but by then, Sony Music had decided to halt the promotional campaign for the Invincible album.

I thought "who's this guy that sounds like Michael jackson " I didn't even know it was Michael until the d.j. said that I just happen to catch the radio premiere but I miss the intro. Invincible is so under rated. Do some songs, break of dawn, whatever happens, 2000 watts not just performances more.
