How to make 1 carb keto vegan gyoza dumplings | LCHF keto vegan

- This is no doubt the best keto vegan dumpling recipe ever. Using the 1 carb keto flatbread dough you can already make to create these plump and crispy Japanese gyoza. Now you have something to go with your keto ramen :) Enjoy x

1carb flatbread dough
(Makes 12-13 dumplings)

1 carb keto pizza: • How to make 1carb keto...
Fillings
----------
140g firm tofu
200g mushrooms
Ginger
Kimchi (optional)
1/2 teaspoon psyllium husks powder
Soy sauce
Ground white pepper
Toasted sesame oil
Dipping sauce
--------------
Soy sauce
Rice vinegar
Toasted sesame oil
Fresh chilli or chilli oil (optional)
Fresh coriander (optional)
DIRECTIONS
---------------------
1. Pan fry mushroom and tofu to remove excess water
2. Place mushroom and tofu mixture in the food processor, add in ginger, psyllium husks powder, kimchi (optional), a dash of soy sauce, white pepper and salt to taste.
3. Pulse the mixture till well mixed in food processor.
5. Divide flatbread dough in 10-11 portions. Roll out with a rolling pin or tortilla press.
6. Make dumplings (see video instructions)
7. Add oil in a frying pan on medium heat. Place dumplings in the pan and cook for a minute or so till the oil heats up.
8. Add in 1 tablespoon "surprise water" and cover the pan and allow the dumplings to steam till thorough cooked.
9. Remove the lid and continue to fry the dumplings till the bottom of the dumplings are golden brown and crispy.
10. Make dipping sauce and enjoy!

This recipe makes 4 flatbreads (less than 1g carb per bread)
1/2 cup almond flour (68g) (nut allergy? 1/2 flax meal and 1/2 coconut flour)
2 - 3 Tbsp. psyllium seed husks
1 Tbsp. olive oil
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup warm water

I have recently started the keto journey, and am obsessed with your channel. Being Asian its so difficult to adjust to the keto diet. Thank God you exist. Are these gyozas able to be frozen and used at a future date?
Update: have made them and they turned out so cute. My batter seemed to be stickier than the video's but it was fine to wrap with, didn't tear which is good! I have frozen them and see if they're ok for future use. Will update after having tried to cook it.

Great keto version of one of my favorite asian foods. I just keep my net carbs so low i probably wont be able to enjoy them. But for some reason i like to watch food being made and eaten especially food i love. So ill have to enjoy some food vicariously through you. Enjoyable video Fan.

Oh my goodness my dough crumbles in my hand. I don’t know what’s wrong with it. I’ve made the flatbread recipe many time but it’s not at all pliable like your is.I did get some made. They’re a mess but oh my the flavor is fantastic.

Hi! Do you think these would hold up in deep frying?
I wonder, if you cut this dough into strips, rolled them, could you make udon noodles, or not roll them and make ramen noodles? Maybe run them through a pasta roller and linguini setting and roll for udon, a spaghetti setting for ramen? I'm totally going to try this and experiment with this. Not a fan of the konjac noodles, they're good to simulate pho or rice noodle dishes but I think this dough would be a great ramen noodle. Unless you've already tried this? I can't see it in your video list.

The dough does not like hot water I’m afraid. Try the fried ones, they’re so good you won’t miss the steamed ones x

Will it work if I just cook them on a steamer instead of frying the bottom?
I think it should be fine. But the "surprise water" is essentially to create the steaming effect.
@@HeavenlyFan update: It didn't work, the dough absorbed too much water and basically dissolved in the steamer, it was a mess, do not recommend, will try doing it and cooking in the oven to see how it goes

Hi there! I was enthralled to read how your noodle recipe turned into Heavenly Fries! I'm wondering if you can help me. I'm desperately trying to find a Keto version of a Spätzle egg noodle recipe that won't disintegrate in the boiling water. I'm not just hoping someone will do all the work for me, I'm doing my own test kitchen experiments too! So far all attempts have turned into a horrible gruel , NOT the desired result to say the least. If anyone of your followers, particularly German cooks, have any ideas I could try, let me hear them. I have Keto friendly ingredients that I think would lend to the noodle texture I'm looking for, like xanthan gum, lupin flour, whey protein powder, Vital Wheat gluten, etc. I am dying to have a German feast of Schnitzel and Spätzle!!! Sorry if some of these ingredients aren't vegan. Not trying to be disrespectful of your eating choices. I am not educated about Vegan cuisine at all!
