Hahaha so true ! It also feels so satisfying to be able to run your fingers through it! But, even though it looks awesome, I think curly hair fits your face better & gives you an edge that all the people with straight hair (and there's a lot nowadays!) don't have :) xxx

Detangling is a breeze with straightened hair. Sometimes curly girls need a break.
It's gorgeous in a straight state, but you could've stopped with the roller set. That was beautiful too. Your hair is definitely a gift from God!

That literally doesn’t last for long and is going to break off faster. Looks pretty for the moment but not for the long run

I straightened mine after 5 years, ok, I saw my length, which was wonderful; however I love my curly hair.
Same I love my curl hair too, but it's nice to switch it up from time to time :)

Your beautiful hair is out of this world. My hair is thick but yours is much thicker before I decided to lock my hair it would take me over an hour under the dryer for roller sets and it still wouldn’t be completely dry. Just beautiful.

I loooove Zala so much. They are the reason I was able to grow my hair the the beautiful length it is without the temptation of cutting it. I started off with the 24” 9piece quad weft set and I love them. They are really an investment and the remy hair is beautiful. Even when I thought they were done for I was able to bring them back to life! Now I have just received my 22” Ponytail and it’s just as perfect.

Kontjo your hair is so healthy, thick and full. I wish I had thicker her😍 I’m jealous. I have no problems when it’s curly but I never striaghten it cause my hair looks thin when it’s straight.

But, she still used a blow dryer (more heat) even after you sat under the dryer for an hour and, when flat ironing, she went over your hair multiple times. A lot of heat but, it looks great!
I agree....that was a lot of heat IMO. Looks great but I stretch my hair first before I press it to avoid a blow dryer. Only press one time a year as well.
As a child I did the same thing as she did they use to call it a press set never got heat damage and I did it every month as a child until I got a perm in jr high 🤷🏽♀️
Wow so long congrats on healthy hair!! Wish mine would lay maybe i need something different from a revlon straightener. Ill try rollers first!!

Beautiful results hair twin 😍 I did mines last month & I don't want to wash it 🤭 I put mines in 6 large pin curls using the large curved bobby pins to give me curls.
Your hair is gorgeous either way and change is nice (I get bored too) every now and then but if I had to choose I prefer your hair curly.

Those sinks at hair salons are all tiny(basically 4 shoulder hair length); all hair salon should have big deep sink for people with long hair. Seeing your hair down the drain was so stressful 😭.
She did a great job, i love curly hair but it's nice to switch it up sometime, i have very curly hair also & i love it both ways! I haven't straightened my hair over six months But after looking at your beautiful hair Now I want to straighten it 😳

Hi Hermela, your hair is absolutely gorgeous 😍!!! But it was scary how the stylist was ripping through when you were in the shampoo bowl. When I go to a salon I always have to tell them to gently comb my hair.

Beautiful results, but I'm confused about you saying you wouldn't be putting as much heat on your hair if you went to the salon but you got 1 hour under a hot dryer, blow dryer with a round brush, and 4 passes with the hot iron??
I saw that too!! And she held the flat iron at the end..🤔 It wasn't even necessary. Anyway, she got Beautiful results but hope she doesn't get any damage. We have to watch some of these stylists..
I felt similar. I've seen rollerset then two passes max flat iron and I've seen blowdry then two passed max flat iron. But I don't see a lot of roller, blow dry then three-plus passes of the flat iron. Definitely a lot of heat. But since she doesn't get it done often hopefully it should be fine. Plus she knows her hair better than we do. lol
I think it's the initial slow dry under a hood that does the trick. It's not as harsh as directly blow drying wet hair, after that as long as your not going insane with additional heat you don't have to be as conservative as when you blow dry...again I think.
I've been doing roller set/flat iron forever too, and I tried to be cute and blow dry/flat iron myself at home and took my hair a long time to recover. Try it, it will be a better result, or just look up an Ethiopan hair dresser in your area, just once.

I did the same thing with mine, I was just tired of the curly hair, especially now that it is cold here. I’ve been doing it for three months now and no damage to my curl pattern. It turned out beautiful 👍🏾 aka Curlypdub on CZcams
Did you trim your hair during this time?
I didn't, but once I'm ready to go back to my natural curls I'll return for a trim :)
