Kahit brown sugar lang po :)
Can brown sugar be subbed for white sugar when cooking rice?
Yes, but it would affect the color of the rice :) But interesting addition of flavor from the molasses in the brown sugar :)
First 😍😍😍
If I may ask, seeing as the rice is already cooked, what does the steaming do? Is it for texture or flavor or...? Curious.
Its not yet 100percent cook,,
The soaked rice is not cooked.
This make me cry bc my best friend gave me this it was yummy but that was a year ago😢
wow yummy suman from juanito
MALAGKIT just like the same meaning of sticky in Malaysia which is MELEKIT🗿 Well that's just coincidence.
Both are Austronesian languages so they probably was co-intelligible at one point.
Ignorant of you to say it’s coincidence when Tagalog and Bahasa Melayu are from the same language family.
@@makelovenotwar9941 I'm so sorry....🥲 I forgot😭Tagalog and Malay is kind of same language family because it is call as Kepulauan Melayu😭....once again I'm so sorry🙏
Holy shhhhh that's extremely good 😥
Dikit klimbang po
DAMN BB GURL HAHAAH
Is there a substitute for the banana leaf and for the big ass rock of palm sugar? Please say yes😭
i guess you can just use brown sugar. i usually just dip the suman in white sugar so it's still yum! idk about the banana leaf tho
For the leaves, you can use another leaf LOL jk but yeah there's no substitute for suman's wrapper.
For palm sugar you can use brown sugar.
We used to make them and sell it to food stalls
Maybe corn husks, like tamales, since it works in the steaming process, though, the flavor/scent banana leaves provide is irreplaceable.
You may use a drop of banana extract to get that banana leaf aroma then use muscovado sugar as a substitute for that "panutsa"
Or simply dip your suman in brown sugar as most in the Philippines do.
Go to your Asian store and they should have palm sugar there. Buy the ones made in Thailand.
😲😲😲😲😋😋😋😋😋👍👍👍👍
Ive never ever eaten nor seen it served with a side of caramel sauce. Ive always eaten it by itself. I know the Thai people dont wrap it they just prepare the rice and eat it with mango and add additional coconut milk. It was always a guilt free dessert because the ingredients werent THAT bad. But once u add caramel sauce then forsure its a killer lol
ilang minute po iisteam..
45 mins to 1 hour po, pwede rin mas matagal if gusto niyo pong sobrang dikit dikit na nung bigas
@@lumpiaqueen thnk u po..from OMAN😊
Hun. Where am I gonna get banana leaf in the city 😭
Paikot-ikotin parang yung ginawa nya sa’yo haha
