Jesse's grave is a symbole of the fallen republic, marked with his helmet.
😢
❤
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 yeah its sad 😢
Chronologically, either the bad batch or tales of the jedi is next in line. Personally, i feel watching bad batch is gonna be super rewarding and tales of the jedi was very good as well
I agree, they should watch tales of the jedi and bad batch next
Yes chronologically….i would argue that Rebels should be watched first as it makes the first episode of Bad Batch a little more impactful. Sometimes chronological isn’t always the best way to go.
@@MbgFire2067 On the other hand if you watch Rebels first you know certain characters that have to survive in Bad Batch.
@@wavemoon bad batch is more rewarding when seen after rebels. the whole point of the introducing the characters they do is to give call backs for fans of the past shows. without it they dont quite carry the same weight
Bad batch was a literal waste of time... show wasn't that good
I think Ahsoka dropping the shoto lightsaber was a sense of practicality along with symbolism. Leaving the lightsaber for the Empire to eventually find can serve as false evidence to them and Vader that she was dead and thus would not hunt her. As the saying goes, “This weapon is your life”.
And it sounds like you should watch Rebels.
Makes sense 👍
The shot with Vader is fantastic. This marks the end of an era (Clone Wars), it is the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.
But should they do Bad Batch first...?
Agree, Watching Rebels right after this is the best decision.
The symbolism of the final shot is so somber. Darth Vader walking away from a Clone Trooper Helmet, painted to look like his apprentice and broken, half buried in the snow. It's all about Vader leaving behind everything he once was, and for the franchise itself moving on from the Clone Wars. Filoni told all the stories he wanted to within this part of the lore, so now we as fans must also do so. What a ride it has been, here's to the next series!
A great ending. Knew it was coming (to the extent we knew what events needed to occur) but still shocked us, made us cry, and moved us. Fantastic series and no Star Wars journey is complete without it 🤩😢😍😊😎🤘
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2That was a fantastic shot at the end, it really marks the end of an era, the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.
"I hate to tell you this... THEY DONT CARE! And THOSE soldiers, my BROTHERS, Are willing to DIE.. and take YOU and ME along with them...." 😢
Yeah 😭
And with that, the clone wars officially is over..back when this released on May the 4th 2020, I stayed up to watch it at 2:00 am…I cried a lot because my childhood was officially over. Seeing Jesse’s helmet is what made me lose it, on top of the music.
The last 3-4 episodes are also some of the highest rated tv show episodes of all time as well.
I could type out so much more but I saw this comment a few days after the final episode released back in 2020 and it went along the lines of “Darth Vader did not have to travel to a remote moon to look for Ahsoka, but Anakin did” made me tear up a lot thinking about it that way.
Thank you for watching my all time favorite tv series and it was a fun adventure to watch it with you guys and see and hear your reactions, it’s been a long and fun journey! Excited for what’s next on your guys watch-through!
Edit: to add more to my comment, definitely watch bad batch next to find out what happens immediately after order 66. You could also throw in tales of the Jedi as it has shorter episodes with some back stories as well and show some different perspectives on a few characters! But definitely watch bad batch series next!
Next up is Revenge of the Sith rewatch then we do Tales series for both Jedi and Empire and will start Bad Batch. 🙂
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 sounds like a solid lineup to me! 🔥
I love that brief moment of Ahsoka going for Maul's neck and after he forced pushed her away he took a second to grip his neck at the realization he was this close to being decapitated. And that final shot and finally seeing Darth Vader in the Clone Wars animation will always be with me. And so marks the end of the Clone Wars, in both the series and the War itself
For all who didn't know already:
Disney took over Star Wars in 2013 (I think) and cancelled this show after its 5th season. The show's creators were able to release the remaining episodes, which they had already finished, on Netflix, so these episodes became CW season 6. That's also the reason why season 6 only has 13 episodes and not 20 or more, because they were cancelled mid-production. Dave and his team finished 12 out of the (about) 52 unfinished Clone Wars episodes in season 7, but there still exist (around) 40 unfinished episodes aka 10 unfinished CW arcs to this day. The scripts of the 40 still unfinished episodes were already finished, as far as I know. You can look up these stories which we still could have gotten before this finale of season 7. I really hope that they will finish more of or all of the 10 arcs/ 40 unfinished CW episodes and release them on screen, one day. We would have seen on screen what happened with Maul and Sidious, Mother Talzin and with Ventress + Quinlan Vos after the season 5 finale, for example, not "just" in comic ("Son of Dathomir" for Maul, as you have already seen) or book ("Dark Disciple" for Ventress) form. We would have also seen more of the affects that Ahsoka leaving had on Anakin and even a very short encounter/ fight between Sidious and Ahsoka. We also would have seen the beginning of the creation of the 1st Death Star on the planet Utapau and an arc about a very interesting and powerful alien race called YUUZHAN VONG from the unknown regions, and they were really important and a huge threat to Luke and his people in the Legends Star Wars extended universe later on. There was also supposed to be an episode that showcased why the Jedi were clouded by the dark side. Apparently the Jedi temple was built on top of a Sith temple, and Palpatine would go down there to practice Sith sorcery.
There was also supposed to be an arc about Cad Bane vs. kid Boba Fett and his crew. And there was also supposed to be another arc with the under water people which would have happened before this finale, like all of the other missing arcs as well.
Screen rant has a list with the plots of 9 of the 10 still missing CW arcs, except for the one arc where Plo Koon takes a young Ahsoka from her village to the jedi temple to train to become a jedi knight. They all would have happened before these last 4 episodes since this arc was always supposed to be the last one.
Thanks for providing this info 🙂
I still get chills when I hear Vader enter the final scene. So good.
The Siege of Mandalore arc is without a doubt the best arc in the series.
The intensity is next level because you know that it's at the same time as Revenge of the Sith. The dread that Maul is experiencing is terrifying because he doesn't scare easily yet Palpatine's plan scares him that much. I really like how escaping Order 66 felt like the impossible. Many others felt to easy like Obi-Wan. Ahsoka had to almost no where to hide.
Watching the Clone Wars is really one MASSIVE tragedy. A war that was never going to have a winning side.
• The clones: made solely for combat then forced to kill their Jedi Generals, many of which they respected. To only be thrown away like garbage.
• The Jedi: once peace keepers turned into warriors only to be betrayed from within and hunted down & killed. Having to live the rest of their lifes in constant fear of being discovered.
• The Republic/Separatist: both fighting for what they believed to be right, only for none of it to matter in the end.
• Anakin Skywalker: the face of the Republic's War effort. The Jedi's champion, The Chosen One betrayed everything he ever loved all for a false promise. He was turned into a monster.
Really shows how much Palpatine manipulated events so he would come out on top.
True. Seeing Maul scared was something else because that dude has been through a lot and tough as hell 😎💪
And a final fun fact: the astromech Geep was voiced by showrunner Dave Filoni.
Its a C1 droid and what a certain other (magnificent) C1 should look like.
That shot with Vader and his reflection in the helmet was so amazing. Nobody won the Clone Wars except Palpatine who we know orchestrated everything. This marks the end of an era, the fall of the Republic and the rise of the Empire.
8:54 That hurt, esspecially that scream, those droids were executed.
One last war crime for the road
@@Anakinvoorhees I guess clones really don't take prisoners
@@joshthomasmoorenew not during order 66.
And so ends The Clone Wars. What a jouney it has been. From the battle of Christophsis to the Siege of Mandalore. So many arcs and so many memories. I only wish it could've ended better for all our heroes. Special thanks to Dave Filoni and the team behind The Clone Wars for creating a show that I literally grew up with. Looking forward to your Revenge of the Sith reaction! One of the best SW films
Yep. We wish it could’ve ended better but we knew all along it was headed this way and still were invested, surprised and rooting for some other end than the inevitable. Great show 🤩
And finally, Rip Jesse, the clone patriot with the mark of the Republic on his head and helm. He's been around since season 2. Atleast he didn't live to see what the republic turns into.
And with this, the Clone Wars journey comes to a close. Definitely not a happy ending, but one that is absolutely fitting to leave the Clone Wars on. This episode has my absolute favorite interaction between Ahsoka and Rex, up in the bridge. We get to see Rex in a really vulnerable moment, having to deal with the fact that his brothers are going to see him as a traitor and are more than willing to kill both him and Ahsoka or die trying, but also knowing that there's no other way to escape other than fighting their way through. The way Ahsoka manages to keep her emotions and comfort Rex both shows just how deep their friendship is and how much Ahsoka has grown since the beginning of the series. That scene really makes both of them feel even more like real people, not just beloved characters. My other favorite moment, I think, is at the end where we see that Rex and Ahsoka buried all of the fallen clones they were able to find and marking their graves by placing their helmets on sticks, with the shot focusing on Jesse's helmet in particular with the symbol of the Republic on the front like his tattoo, symbolizing the death of the Republic itself as the Empire is born. It's such a somber moment, but also a little heartwarming to see both Rex and Ahsoka give the dead clones a proper burial, despite all of them trying to kill both of them; they knew it wasn't their fault and wanted to give them the respect they both felt the other clones were still due. And that epilogue is a great way to cap off the episode. Seeing Vader in that great Clone Wars animated style find the lightsaber Ahsoka left, leading him to believe she died in the crash, and slowly walk back to his shuttle reflected in the helmet of a trooper bearing Ahsoka's markings. The last couple of sentences on this episode's Wookieepedia article really do a great job of not only summing up the last moments of the series, but conveying the emotions of that final scene: "The Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, disembarks from the shuttle ominously and walks across the icy fields. He kneels down and reaches through the snow, finding and igniting the lightsaber Ahsoka Tano left there. A convor cries above and Vader looks up to see it circling in the sky. Vader watches the bird for a moment, then takes the saber, turns, and walks away, reflected in the visor of a cracked helmet belonging to a clone trooper of Tano's specialized division of the 501st Legion until his reflection fades from view. The Clone Wars are over...". Absolutely breathtaking, they knocked it out of the park with this series finale; I don't think I could have asked for a better way for this show to end. With all that out of the way, let's move on to our final Clone Wars fun facts.
We do get many deaths in this episode, but the one that stands out the most is Jesse (CT-5597). He's been with us since the episode "The Deserter" all the way back in season 2 and was one of the standout troopers who stood against Pong Krell in the Umbara arc in season 4. He's definitely a fan favorite clone and his death is in my top 5 for saddest clone deaths in the series. In addition to Jesse and the other clones, we also lose all three of our astromech friends who help Ahsoka. RG-G1 and CH-33P are executed by the clones after trying to surrender and R7-A7 was shot while Ahsoka is trying to prevent Maul from leaving in the shuttle; I'd like to think R7 intentionally moved in front of that blaster bolt to protect Ahsoka one last time, showing loyalty to his friend similar to R2 with Anakin. But, on the upside, in the scene where Rex and Ahsoka have buried the clones, we see that they were able to salvage R7; so we might see R7 show up again some time in the future. In the final confrontation between Rex, Ahsoka, and the clones under the effects of Order 66, Jesse refers to Palpatine as Darth Sidious. Aside from Rex in the previous episode, this is (at least as far as I remember) the only time we hear a clone reference Palpatine by his full Sith name. We also see that the fact that Ahsoka has left the Jedi Order has no effect on whether or not she is marked by Order 66. This, along with the clones being ordered to execute Maul, seems to indicate that any Force user, aside from Anakin and Palpatine himself, are marked as targets to be terminated by Order 66. The epilogue with Vader is stated to take place in 17 BBY, two years after the end of the Clone Wars. The Imperial soldiers that we see in the epilogue are shown to be stormtroopers and snowtroopers and Vader is seen arriving in a Lambda-class T-4a shuttle, which means that the Empire has already shifted away from using the clones and the Clone Wars era tech, hammering in the fact that the days of the Republic were truly over and we are firmly in the age of the Empire. When Vader picks up and activate Ahsoka's lightsaber, we see a bird fly over his head. This is a convor, a bird resembling an owl with a long tail native to Wasskah, the Trandoshan moon where a captured Ahsoka was hunted for sport alongside other Jedi younglings at the end of season 3. This convor, named Morai, has spiritual ties to the Daughter from the Mortis arc, who gave up her life force to bring Ahsoka back from the dead. Morai often appears with the Daughter in depictions of the Ones all over the galaxy. It was believed by some that the convor in these depictions was a servant of the Daughter or even a manifestation of the Daughter herself in another form. Keep an eye out for her, she might show up again in some of the other shows. This last one isn't really a fun fact, just an impressive detail I noticed; when we see Vader looking up at Morai, if you look closely, you can see his eyes behind the eyepieces in his helmet. I love little touches like that.
Well, I think that's all the fun facts I've got. I suppose it's time to close the book on the Clone Wars and move on to the next series. I think you guys said you'd be watching Tales of the Jedi next, so I'll be looking forward to seeing that whenever you guys start it. I'll be watching, see you guys then! 😄
“Makes them feel like people and not just beloved characters like.” Well said. And fitting since this series made us see the Clones as beloved character and not just nameless soldiers 😢🥲😍🤩🤗
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitive2 Thanks for the kind words! I didn't even think about that aspect when I was writing that, but I definitely agree. That scene is one of a handful of scenes that makes me tear up every time I see it. The other shows that have come out over the years are still great for the most part, but Clone Wars was in a unique position when it comes to character development and I personally don't think any of the other series have come close to just how amazing Clone Wars is.
Vader's mask has the red lenses like it did in A New Hope, you can just see Anakin's eyes behind them as he looked skyward.
And thus....
Ends the clone wars...
Same goes my heart
💔💔💔
😢
No dialogue about the final eight minutes, and still so much is being told. That shows you how powerful these images are.
As for Ahsoka dropping her light saber: she came to the conclusion even durin this series that all she did was fight. hat she never really learned more that being a soldier. And that life was over now.
Yes there is that, and a part of her died with those men; so dropping the sabre was symbolic of that.
Thus concludes the story of the clone wars. Episode 3 shows us the tragedy of the Jedi Purge but this show shows us the tragedy of the Clones. Most people always say stuff like “well theyre just clones” but this show makes it known that theyre more than clones, theyre people. The Clones bled and died with the Jedi battle after battle. Sidious didnt just turn the Jedis army against them, it turned theyre friends and comrades against them like disposable tools. After all the Clones we got to see over the series, Rex was the only one to make it. The scene with all the Clones helmets makes cry cuz every Clone deserved better.
A masterpiece of an arc. They even put in a "hello there" - Ahoska's first and last words in these episodes.
Seeing Vader in the reflection of a Clone Helmet doesn't get enough recognition, the clones were basically children, accelerated growth, and for them to be abandoned in the ice and snow and a reflection of what Anakin was once apart of to now be a dark shadow is chilling
The thing about the ending is...
Vader had no reason to be there, but Anakin did.
Finding her lightsaber was confirmation that she was gone. Another link to Anakin from Vader's POV was destroyed when the Empire found the wreckage of the Venator. Recognizing her lightsaber when he picked it up, activated it, and walking away with it added more to the official end of the Clone Wars era.
Vader has perfect reason to be there. Thats for a later time though.
I definitely recommend watching Rebels next, even though the Bad Batch is set right after Clone Wars. I think that Rebels gives insight as to what the Empire becomes and what life is like after years of imperial rule.
Dropping the sabre was a bit of a statement, but mostly a way to throw the Empire off hoping that they will think her dead.
"Don't lose a thousand lives to save one." ~ Aayla Secura
When that line was spoken to Ahsoka, way back in season one, it was a nod to Anakin's tragic, ill-fated choice in Revenge of the Sith; but now it's taken a new (albeit equally tragic) meaning.
Anakin's choice was a selfish one, that ultimately cost him the one he was trying to save; through the very actions he took. Ahsoka's choice, on the other hand, was made for her; and the cruel irony is that it was Anakin who made that choice. Ahsoka wanted to save everyone, but she was in a no win scenario; and in the end, Rex was the only one she could save.
Adding to her guilt, her decision to free Maul is what ultimately killed all the clones on board. But in her defense, she didn't know things would play out that way; it was a desperate choice in a desperate situation.
So now, like Anakin, Ahsoka bears the guilt of losing a thousand lives to save one; the difference is Ahsoka suffers because one life was all she could save.
Well said 😔
If you can only save one clone though, it has to be Rex.

@definitelynotdefinitive,
13:37 Why look for someone you believe to be dead? The crash site was a charred mess of death and destruction. Anakin...err...Vader knew that that was Ahsoka's transport. Finding her lightsaber among the dead helps create the narrative that she perished with the crew--they didn't look for her and they obviously didn't find her.
Did Ahsoka leave her lightsaber for that purpose? Maybe, she looked conflicted when she left them. But we can't ignore the fact that she heard what Order 66 was. It wasn't safe to be a Jedi. While she didn't rejoin the Jedi, she still worked for the Republic and she was working with the Jedi, doing Jedi work--Ahsoka is a Jedi at her core. Even in the Mandalorian series, when she refused the title of Jedi, she was still doing Jedi work, living under their teachings. Her past is a painful one, but it's a past that she never walked away from. She still did good, even in the face of danger.
This one marks the end of an era. The "keepers of the peace" that remain must go into hiding, and light sabers make terrible camouflage. It is a time to retreat and to adapt. Before a resistance can begin, answers to the questions of where and how, and even why, must be found. Hope must be found. As all good things must eventually come to an end, they must also, at some point, begin.
One thing that people need to realize about Star war's is that there will never be a "good" or "true" ending, the entire franchise is defined by conflict, some characters get a good ending to their personal stories but in the grand scheme of things there will never be an end to all of the fighting
There are good times with temporary peace but those end all to quickly and a new war is started which lasts for generations just to end at some point, which starts the cylce again
War -> one side wins -> temporary peace -> war and that goes on over and over, forever
Welp... The massive journey of this channel is over... I am so glad you reacted to it, because this was the real Star Wars... Hopefully we will see Andor next...
Rebels should be next because it closes a lot of storylines from Clone Wars
Tales of the Jedi should be next
@@cartikitty8948 Thats fair. Then Rebels.
Bad batch series starts right after this (and Bad batch just finished its final season recently) so maybe start that next. Or Tales of the Jedi before bad batch, then Rebel and then tales of the empire
Loved your reactions! Time for Bad Batch and the Rebels! (If you are doing it chronological)
One of the most beautiful endings to a show; the final movie (look, the last four episodes are a movie...) is simply a piece of art
Loved rewatching clone wars with you 👌🏽
11:05 See here, Ahsoka and Rex got the parts together from her droid R-7 which got shot.
May the force be with you
this episode was phenomenal in showing the stakes at hand and the emotional intensity the characters felt in these pivotal moments at the end of the war,(before the next one XD) btw rebels is fun you guys are gonna love it. 😎❤😊(I could make a reference to my profile picture to be funny and random XD but I’m leaving for work again XD (I’m a bus monitor btw XD)
It occurs to me that Anakin/Vader and his apprentices are really good at not taking fall damage.
For a long time this was my top number one of series finales that made me cry, because the idea of this show was making us like the clones making order 66 even more sad than before
Great reaction, looking forwards to your next ones!
A note: In the Ahsoka novel, Ahsoka's lightsabres and an unnamed clone trooper wearing Rex's armour were left with the graves in order to imply that they killed each other there, thus leaving any Imperial forces to think they are both dead. This conflicts somewhat with this episode of the Clone Wars, however, where we are not shown a false grave for Rex or Ahsoka. Like many similar events in the Star Wars universe, which version is actually canonically true depends on your point of view. (e.g., the theory that most of the story was actually told by R2-D2, which is why they always seems to be the hero in any scene they are in, while all of their companions seem to be bumbling around and failing upwards in comparison...).
I believe Ahsoka left it behind partly to make it appear she had died in the destruction and cover her tracks, but it was also symbolic of the defeat of the Jedi and the fall of the Republic.
I can’t help but cry every time I see that last scene
Seeing Vader appear at the end to mark the end of Clone Wars era hits so damn hard.
I also like to think that when he picked up the lightsaber, he knew *then and there* that his Padawan was still alive.
Morai flying overhead confirms this.
so many great moments. for me, its when ahsoka removes rex's helmet and sees his crying, because he has to fight and kill his brothers.
and at the end, we see vader find her lightsaber among the graves of the 501st. then as he looks up to see the bird that represented as ahsoka, you can see his eye through the helmet. it was like anakin was peeking out from under vader to say goodbye to his student, his friend, his little sister.
You guys should also watch Tales of the Jedi as it adds a little bit more to this episode specifically and it is very short easy reaction.
thanks, enjoyed you 2 reacting to this wonderful show
01:00 being worried about our beloved Rex was bad enough - but most of us watched this with no idea whether Ashoka would live or die either. It was super stressful!
Episode 3's original Order 66 sequence was one thing with Clones we barely knew killing Jedi we didn't know - but after 7 seasons, watching our beloved 501st attacking our beloved Ashoka was something else entirely... Then that sequence of Ashoka making a mass grave for the clones 😭and then Anakin seeing Morai .... Hot damn that's a way to end a show.
If it helps, I think all those 501st clones would have happily given their lives for Ahsoka to live. She was basically their little sister to all of them.
10:28 I think to use the force to move an object you usually need to be grounded or have some kind of leverage, especially when the object is larger or heavier than the person. That's why she was dragged by Maul's ship trying to fly away, for example.
I'm not sure on the actual requirements for the force to be used but there have been times where the force was used despite not being grounded, one example i can remember is Anakin and Obi Wan falling and using the force while falling onto the ground and stopping themselves from hitting it.
My thought is they have to be in a focused tunnel vision-like state in order to use the force completely, such as Ahsoka being focused only on stopping the ship Maul was flying and not being able to do much else whereas when she was falling in the air i dont think she could really focus on falling through everything while trying to get to the ship seat.
I think to pull large heavy things like a ship you need leverage but smaller things you should just be able to pull it to you
@@foxdragon2276 But in that case of Obi and Anakin you mentioned they weren't trying to move sth and more so created a force cushen to soften their fall (like the 2nd sister also does at the start of Fallen Order, to float down sofly, like Dooku also does in the 2003 Clone Wars while meeting Ventress) I'd say.
If force wielders were able to just lift themselves up with the force, then they could basically fly which is not the case as far as I know.
Maaan i love this 3:05 Starkiller moment of Maul
Now that bad batch just wrapped up, I feel like that would be a satisfying conclusion after revenge of the sith.
Loved your reactions throughout the Clone Wars series. i would love if you did a tier list of your favorite episodes of the show.
The chronological order for the animations would be Tales of the Jedi, The Bad Batch, Tales of the Empire, then Rebels, and I'm looking forward to your reactions to all of them. May the Force guide and keep you - Grey Jedi saying.
Thanks & congratulations, you are now CW Troopers
I've had arc trooper jessie as my pfp for 4 years now. Jessie wasn't one of my favorite clones but that shot of his scorched helmet stuck with me as it symbolized the end of the clone wars and the end of the republic as we know it. Also i recommend you guys watch Rebels first.
Can’t forget watching the bad batch! Great show and it fits right in line after the clone wars
Ahsoka has always been self-assured and even a bit cocky......but when they open the hanger doors, she looks shook.
It gave me chills when she whispers, "We need to get out of here." She looks SERIOUSLY shook.
Now on to "Rebels". You'll love it.......I promise you.
Great vid, you guys.
Not Rebels, Tales of The Jedi and then Bad Batch.
congratulations on finishing PEAK! now on to the tales of the jedi and bad batch!
Edit: pretty sure in the last frame when vader is looking up to the sky you can see his eyes. replies can correct me if im wrong but im pretty sure his eyes are blue which means in that moment it was anakin acknowledging ahsoka is most likely still alive. not vader. As to your question on if vader is seeking ahsoka. hes not. He still holds some attachment so as long as she remains in hiding and not interfering he will just "assume" shes dead for imperial records sake. But deep down he knows she got away and wont act on it unless forced to. Then he will kill her no hesitation.
Did you guys notice... When Vader looked up to see Morai (The Owl)... You could actually see his eyes through the mask... Not to mention the significance of Morai as well... If you don't know Morai... Watch the Mortis Arc again...
My advise to you, AFTER you watch "Revenge of the Sith"... If you want to proceed chronologically, I would watch "Tales of the Jedi" next... For one thing, with each of the 6 episodes being approximately 15 minutes long, you can react to the whole thing in as few as one or two videos... However... I would suggest going out of order... 2, 3 and 4... Then watch 1,5, and 6... This is due to continuity of the 2 arcs... Especially if you decide to break them up into multiple videos..
I would definitely say watch Tales of the Jedi next.
Here's the overall chronological order of what is out and what has been announced. Please note that there is some wiggle room with Star Wars Rebels and Andor. Season 1 of each show take place concurrently in 4 BBY, with events of Rebels first two episodes being referenced in the first or second episode of Andor. From there, both shows slowly build up to the events of Rogue One and Episode IV, but until Andor season 2 airs we won’t know exactly how the episodes line up with Rebels. It is presumed until then that Andor will feature three-episode arcs per year, but this is not yet certain.

There are also a planned Lando Calrissian film, and a few other projects that have been announced and are reportedly in various stages of pre-production, but I’m not holding my breath on those just yet (like the Taika Waititi film and the Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron film). Additionally, there is an announced video game, Star Wars: Eclipse, that is set during the High Republic era (500-100 BBY), but it may end up being vaporware.
Personally, I would avoid Episodes VII-IX (and, by extension, Star Wars: Resistance, despite that being a Dave Filoni project) since those movies ignore Lucas’s intended mythological themes and messages and subtext about the nature of life forms in symbiosis and mutual cooperation and analysis of democracy devolving into fascism in favor of empty nostalgia, hollow (though well shot) action sequences, and mindless pew pew pew. But that’s just me. I like my Star Wars content to have a little more depth to it.
It's been so fun watching this show with you guys. I hope y'all continue with Bad Batch and eventually Rebels :)
this episode gave me such chills the first time. And the second. Maybe the third too.
tales of the jedi is short and gives some nice extra context that sort of ties in well with clone wars and ahsoka
After that rebels for sure, sort of like clone wars I'd say it has a bit of a rough start but has some of the best moments in star wars, and ahsoka is almost a direct sequel to rebels
bad batch is cool but sort of it's own thing imo. Some great world building showing the early transition from republic to empire and more clone stuff but kind of disconnected
Series in Chronological Order (from where you are now):
Bad Batch (Animated)
Obi-Wan Kenobi (Live Action)
Rebels (Animated)
Andor (Live Action)
Rogue One
Star Wars (A New Hope)
Empire Strikes Back
Return of the Jedi
The Mandalorian
Book of Bobba Fett (Which happens between Seasons 2 and 3 of the Mandalorian)
Ahsoka
Star Wars: Resistance (Animated)
Force Awakens (Which is set between Season 1 and 2 of Resistance)
The Last Jedi
Rise of Skywalker
(The upcoming Acolyte series will be very far earlier than any of the other Star Wars titles)
What a journey. This is why season 7, especially the finals arc, is the best out of all the clone wars series. We also have to remember that Vader isn’t Anakin anymore. Vader wants to forget about his past, any connections with Anakin, all of that. He lost his mother, wife, presumably his child as far he knows, his troopers, his body, his jedi order. Tragic. I think y’all should watch Tales of the Jedi, then Bad Batch, then Rebels
Now for the boys, Bad Batch that takes directly after Clone Wars.
Maul destroyed the hyper-drive because the last place he wanted to be was on Corascant in the hands of Sidious. I personally think you should do
Tales of the Jedi
The Bad Batch
Rebels: In that order. I know a lot of people recommend Rebels but chronologically would make sure you have stakes in the game. They want you to have the same experience they had but you could have a better experience by going chronologically.
That was the lightsaber that Anakin gave her.
Heads up with Rebels (when you guys get to watching it, of course)
I recommend watching the Shorts before the main series, the shorts are a few minutes long and gloss over the main characters in the series and give them a small introduction
These episodes retcons a lot of what was originally planned before the show was canceled. 66 happened while she was fighting Maul on Mandalore, Rex stayed behind and helped her escape since he removed his chip well before the siege after Fives's warning. Ahsoka's weapons where used as proof of her execution and Rex made a empty grave on Mandalore. Tales of the Jedi dives in more what happened next. But it's better to check out the Novel Ahsoka.
I listened to Filoni tell the story many years ago and he said that the chancellor alarm was always the plan, that’s where they’d split
@@carlosandres7006 I’m not talking about when Ahsoka and Anakin parted ways. I’m talking about order 66 and the siege of Mandalore. The last time Rex and Ahsoka saw each other when the war ended.
An incredibly touching series... The best thing that Disney gave us
i personally believe that if Vader knew ahsoka is still alive he would rather hunt her the further his time as vader goes, but shortly after his transformation i believe he might have shown conflict within himself, u can even see his blue eyes in the mask at the end. Rebels dosent take place right after clone wars, but i think bad batch does.
Clone Wars is for me what really holds the starwars universe connect. The films alone arent written well enough to replace this series.
5:34 Then you are going to love Rebels!
The Bad Batch would make more sense next if you want to watch it chronologically
Not satisfied you say? :) Then definitely watch Rebels!
the bad batch deals with the immediate aftermath of all this, its essentially the clone wars sequel show. Rebels is much later when the empire is already well established
Next up for consideration should certainly be Bad Batch, even before Rebels.
Will you be reacting to the fanimation of the battle of heros clone wars style next?
The moon they landed on was the moon Dooku hired Jango Fett for the clone army.
Hey definitely not definitive I have the extended version with these last episodes and the revenge of the sith movie anyway I can send it too you guys
The empire as risen, the jedi are gone Yes it's shit and leaving start wars like that is hard.
After some thought and listening to your summery start with the bad batch to straight chronological order or tales of the jedi to fill even some gaps from this era!
And the robots as the clone had shined this series
After this would be tales of the Jedi while exactly at the same time would be tales of the empire and most of the bad batch and Obi wan Kenobi. That would lead into rebels and episode 4 a new hope. With mostly comics in between.
I think its safe to watch Tales of the Jedi now, there are no more spoilers for TCW
Then next in chronological order would be Bad Batch I think.
Now need to see The Bad Batch
I’m sure you’ve already started whatever you’re doing next on Patreon, but my recommended order would be Tales of the Jedi, then Bad Batch, then Rebels.
Clone Wars was never going to have a happy ending. That’s the nature of the clone wars and what they were used to bring about.
You guys should watch Tales of the Jedi as it'll lead into Rebels, as well as expanding on certain details that leads into the Clone Wars.
Hope you watch The Bad Batch next!
Time for Rebels now! :D
Also, I would suggest to read both Son of Dathomir and Dark Dispicle, since they are both canon.
The narrator will come back, but I won't say where.
I can't stand seeing Rex cry. 😭😭😭😭
This finale left me in a state of sadness for a while. Rex clearly traumatized by what happened, R7 being destroyed (hopefully repaired 😢). Everything. 😭😭
Can recommend watching Tales of the Jedi and Empire since you have finished this show now.
I wouldn’t really label Vader as someone who “won” here because he lost everything but I kinda get what you mean
You guys should definitely watch rebels next
So what's next? Rebels or Bad Batch´?
Lets go to the tales of the jedi ep5 and 6 bad batch wait!
Definitely watch Bad Batch after Clone Wars rather than Rebels. I feel like some stuff in Rebels would def spoil Bad Batch but also because Clone Wars flows very well into it
Bad batch next hopefully
And end of a journey…
