- This wasn't the clip I intended to upload today (that was blocked!) so I've gone for another 'Rat Patrol' video, this time from the episode 'Mask-A-Raid', original US transmission April 10th 1967.

One of my favorite TV shows as a kid. Always loved the gun sound effects in this series. Brought those bullets to life... while taking lives at the same time, of course. Seemed guys always got a super-sized serving of lead... no skimping on the portions. The vehicle-mounted machine guns were AWESOME!
Yes, it's great fun. Love those uniforms too!

I love the fact that the rest of the Rat Patrol are parked very casually outside the enemy HQ in broad daylight. Did a German guard so much as offer them cold refreshments while they waited for the action? I hope they did.
If they did they got short shrift for their trouble 😁
Lol... good point. While they're standing around waiting to get shot, they might as well make themselves useful. But maybe they know a cold drink will get you hot lead in return.

Amazing kills at 1:40 , those fellas ran right in, ready to die, and went down in style! The classic twirl and pile-on-top-of-each-other way that so many men seem to die in these circumstances! Three more at 1:50 seem to have the same idea... "We're definitely going to get gunned down the second we bust through this door, but hey... it's our job! Let's go! UHHGH AWWGH OOAHHH." One of them even throws himself back into a chair... hey, it's a lot of work getting killed, he deserves a rest, even if it's permanent!
It's my favourite episode of the series this one, and for the very kills you mention, plus the slaughter in the room from 1:01 to 1:08 with some classic jerks and spins as the soldiers are riddled - classic machine gun kills! Many thanks for your kind comment once again!

I LOVED this upload 😀Especially the kills in the 2 rooms! The Nazis just run into oncoming fire haha 😂 😂 2:22 good use of the dead German's grenades!(Have the Germans EVER used them in the series?!)I also liked the killing of Germans by their own haoftrack! Finally the killing of a spy by the German officer! BTW Mum claimed that since my work is "voluntary" I REALLY don't feeel like going so I won't :)
It's a silly series but loads of fun! If only the Germans had been so easy to beat in real life the war would have been over in 6 weeks! That "spy" was actually a German who'd been injected with a drug and when he woke the real spy had stolen his uniform and put the bandages on him - so he was shot by his own side!!!

@@tanktank3874 In the UK only the first 6 episodes were shown in 1967 and then it was taken off the air because a lot of veterans of the desert war complained it totally ignored the fact the Americans were barely involved in that part of the war, the British are hardly ever mentioned (although to be fair one of the 4 main characters is British) and it made the German Afrika Korps look like total idiots, which they most definitely were not! It's only ever been shown on satellite/cable TV here since, and then only rarely! But for all that it's a lot of fun!
