    That's really cool how ABC did the music, sound, and graphics package for the ABC Sunday Night Movie back in the early 1970s. That was ahead of its time. I was not born until 1977, but I do wonder what it would have been like to have grown up or lived during the early 1970s. Although it wasn't a simple time, it was still a simpler time to live than it is today. Back during a time where there were no cell or smartphones, no home personal computers, no internet, no social media. Yet, it seemed like life was easier for people back then. Hell, I hear stories of people that were even happier back then than today.

      @@6262999 And yet, the James Bond films from back then are tamer than even some shows you'd find on Nickelodeon or even Disney. My Dad told me about how Jane Fonda appeared in Barbarella, which got an X rating. He had to see it. So he and his buddies snuck in and saw it. He said that Jane Fonda just briefly showed her breasts and that was it. He said that in today's time, it'd likely get a PG or PG-13 rating.

There's lists of 1970 on pretty much, but not the 1960s movies that aired. Someone with the time and resources needs to create this and post it here, on FB, on Reddit, and at IMDB

    • @christopherthorkon3997
      @christopherthorkon3997 Před 4 lety +6

      To add a little...after 2001: A Space Odyssey it seems like every single company and corporation wanted to use the slit-scan method to created streak effects. As you can see the networks picked up on it right away. Also, Whirpool commercials started using the technique. Like anything it got overused and by the mid 1970s there was a desire for a different approach -- for example, using animated white to create a glistening or shimmering effect on the edges of letters in a title.
