    Man, if I had a dollar for every time you said "golden age" and that you're surprised something came onto Blu Ray, I'd have at least a few dollars...
    But it is awesome, what a time to be alive (insert Jasper Beardsley joke).
    Rollerball is awesome. Watched it back when my local Blockbuster had 5 weeklies for $10.
    Fellow Adkonite here, watching your updates is how I got to know of him.

    The Horrible Dr Hitchcock is one of my all time favourite Italian Gothics and this fantastic Radiance release was a must upgrade for me too. The film was missing on disc for so long until the previous release and now we have this amazing very definitive edition of it. I can't wait to dive into those multiple cuts and extras!

      You dug up an older video! Indeed the new edition is far superior to the old Olive one

    LOL, that intro!!! OK, now I just did a 2.5 hr update now your competing with a 2 hr one??? Hahhah!!! We are way past Roger Corman films and have now moved onto Jordan Peele lengths. I think we are totally out of control with our updates! Ya it was about 8 months for me and that one was way to long. I'll be back soon with another one and it will be way shorter! I have to upgrade my 3 pack with Silent Rage also. I ordered Catch the Heat also cause the price was crazy cheap! The old Olive of The Horrible Dr. HItchcock was actually cut, so I grabbed the VS to upgrade my Olive. I need to grab The Banker, I'm a huge Forester fan. Magic Crystal is just bat shit fun! i just reviewed Black Cat 1-2 on our new Syn Bin video Podcast, hell a fun films. I love the Sabata films. The Sartana films are just a blast. I marathoned those a couple years back, great set. Wow, thats crazy my Sartana set got completely smashed in delivery also thats crazy. VS is just killing those Gialli sets. So crazy that Shout dropped 4 massive Shaw Brothers sets so close together. The amount of Shaw Bros films we have been getting in the last few years is just beyond me at this stage. We are getting spoiled lol. Those Arrow Western sets are outstanding! I still gotta grab that Danza vol. 2 set. Severin is also killing their box set game! Arrow just shipped out the replacement disc for Awakening the Beast a couple days back for me. That was a crazy ass update brotha! Charz!

      Cheers man! Hahaha yeah a bit of healthy competition here with update lengths lol. Also man Syn Bin is a great name for a VS podcast!

    Hey Simon. Absolutely EPIC!! Wow, you’ve never seen Rollerball. It’s great I’m sure you’ll enjoy. All those Spaghetti’s are cool. Sartana set is great, very James Bond in a way, Sartana uses a lot of gadgets, Sabata is cut from the same cloth. And God Said to Cain is excellent bit of a Gothic Horror/Western Mash up. Matalo has a showdown with a gunslinger and a guy throwing Boomerangs. That’s right the dude has a bag of Boomerangs. Matalo is a bit psychedelic. El Puro is pretty interesting as it has a homosexual kiss in it. You don’t see that in too many Spaghetti Westerns. They are brilliant sets and I’d say your 2024 is well set. 👍

    Sup. Have you seen Deep Cover with Laurence Fishburne? Very solid cop/dealer drama, but I think the bluray is worth seeing just for the visuals. It's definitely in my top 10 as far as video quality is concerned. Very colorful and extremely sharp image with some nice cinematography to boot. So many years of watching low quality DVD rips and now I can actually feast my eyes on this eyecandy. Feels good.

      @@ExplosiveAction Man, modern movies look so bad in comparison. I guess DPs and editors can't help themselves when they see all those sliders in their video editing software. They just HAVE to make everything look unnatural and you that you're watching a movie. It bothers me so much!

    I have been wondering if you like Spaghetti Westerns. I started watching your metal videos and "stayed for the movies", and I have gone back and checked out many of your older Blu-ray/DVD collection updates. But I could not remember if you showed that much in the way of Spagetti Westerns. Not that I have gone deep into the genre myself besides watching whats available on Tubi or even on youtube if the quality is decent.

    • @ExplosiveAction
      @ExplosiveAction  Před 4 měsíci

      That's cool to hear you came for the metal and stayed for the movies! I'm never too sure how many people cross over both my video types. I'm very new to spaghetti western, it's the main Italian genre I'm unfamiliar with - and now I have heaps to get me started!

Got Rollerball on the way meself, always loved that classic. Excellent martial arts releases, what a thrill watching those will be. That Sartana set is awesome, me and spaghetti westerns are best friends..lol Just got in theFort Yuma Gold and Damned Hot Day Of Fire blu-ray double feature I'm quite happy with. Those 3 western box sets MUST be mine. I will start looking for those forth with and hence now...lol. As I must have them for my very own. Well nice update, what a lot of awesome additions.

      @@ExplosiveAction I'm crazy for anything with Django in the title , Django Kills : If you Live Shoot being my favorite. Corbucci did a Django film, and along with him, Leone and Sollima are all must haves as far as their SWs go. Petroni and Damiani are also big names. If you can get access to The Spaghetti Western Database, their top 20 essential films is a good place to start and includes that Django film I mentioned, it's a website for S-Western aficionados and catalogs every one made. So many more than people realize. As is the fact that modern SW's are still being released today. I especially enjoy the new horror SW western mashups that seem to be growing over the last decade, like The Pale Door, Kill Or Be Killed (My Personal Favorite), Night Of The Tommyknockers, Ghosts Of The Ozarks, Red Hill and many more. It's a fascinating Sub-genre along with SWs in general.

    They need to release God Of Cookery on bluray. The DVD looked pretty bad from what I recall. The scene in which Chow roundhouse kicks an ugly guy dressed as a schoolgirl had me in stitches.

    • @ExplosiveAction
      @ExplosiveAction  Před 4 měsíci +1

      That would be a welcome upgrade, one I feel fits with 88 Films after their Forbidden City Cop. My DVD is an old Hong Kong release!

    • @Ohio.Gozaimasu
      @Ohio.Gozaimasu Před 4 měsíci

      @@ExplosiveAction Never heard of Forbidden City Cop. Would you recommend it?
      I just realized that I've seen plenty of Chow's movies over the years. I think he's growing on me because he can pull off moves that require actual agility and he's never trying too hard in the comedy department.
      Speaking of great looking movies and Stephen Chow - I saw From Beijing With Love a few weeks ago and it's another one that made my jaw drop.
      EDIT: holy shit! The guy from God Of Cookery is in Forbidden City Cop as well! And he's in drag and picking his nose again! If he gets kicked in the face I just have to see it.

    • @ExplosiveAction
      @ExplosiveAction  Před 4 měsíci

      Good question. Not really but it's not going to be very adventurous! Exorcist and Exorcist 3 duke out the first two spots. Then it's a bunch of 80s classics: Predator, Aliens, The Terminator. Dawn of the Dead is in there. I love Contact and Arrival. Colossus the Corban Project is in there. I could probably fill a 20 eventually haha
