Big respect for these guys and Finland, for giving them a chance. I really respect countries where disabled people are not hidden from the "normal" masses' eyes and are given opportunities to fullfill their aspirations. And the song is not bad at all! It's a normal punk song, it's meant to be short, provocative, sort of "trashy" (or "raw", if you prefer), and the vocals are nice (for this genre, this is what you need).
Agreed. At first I was like, Why? But even if they didn't have a chance to win you got to respect a country for sending a band like this to a competition like Eurovision is.

@@TheBcoolGuywhat do you think you know about Finland by watching a couple CZcams videos and never even been here. F uk Off and never talk about Finland again
I think the message behind Finland sending a disabled band is pretty simple. A disability does NOT define a person. Heck, I have no conditions or disabilities and I can't play a guitar to safe my life. I am glad that society is taking a step into accepting each others differences. IMO, best entry of all.
Not really, there are two messages in this song: one is about a first-person experience of living with executive dysfunction, and the other is about institutional ableism, in particular that dilemma that if you happen to need a lot of support and accommodations in your everyday life, the society will use that need of yours against you in order to get away with *taking away your freedom.*
Sending a disabled band with an awful entry into a song contest where they get evaluated is the worst thing imaginable. Let PKN make their kind of music... It's just that Eurovision is not a place for them.
Obviously the tolerance that is always so highly praised in Eurovision doesn't apply to everyone. Here we have a truly struggling minority, and people are mocking them.
Haz Hartridge Is it? In what way? Just because you don't like the genre? Or because it doesn't fit Eurovision? Their performance as a whole has more substance than all other entries in the first semifinal compined.

I know that punk might not be the best choice to the Eurovision contest but why so many dislikes when mentally disabled guy sings about their lifes and what things are forbidden or limited for them :/ I'm not sure but could it be that punk wasn't popular in the other countries? I know that in the UK, punk was a thing but how about the other countries? O.o?
Perhaps some people don’t see them as lesser people immediately on first glance and will treat them as if they were any other contestant. Other contestants have tons of dislikes as well but they’re completely fine.
Valery Eloisa No you're not the only one at all! I like it too! And I have seen a lot of people saying they like it. But I guess there's just too many people who didn't like it (for all kinds of different reasons). I really wanted it to get into the final!
I read somewhere that two of the guys in this Finnish band are on the autism spectrum and the other two have Down Syndrome! So that’s really inspiring!
Yes, they're disabled, Yes, they're playing punk. We sent them there for a reason. Disabled peeps are not equal with non-disabled peeps, and that is not right, is it? The song is literaly them screaming to you about the problems they face each and every day... The thing is, Punk is never supposed to be musicaly "good", it is supposed to send a message, like a punch. This just proves that the eurovision song contest that says "We are a place for everyone" is bullshit. Well, not excatly... They let them perform which was good, but people just didn't understand that IT IS GOOD PUNK, NOT GOOD POP for example. It is not supposed to be all good notes and stuff like that, IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE A MESSAGE, and that it was for sure! Anyways... I hope that disabled people will soon get the same rights as any other human being!
@@Beennn32 I'm not sure does every country have translated subtext in their Eurovision broadcasts, I assume so. Wow. Very unexpected and left-field. I like it! Rough and ready...like punk should be! Well done! The song title in English is: "I always have to....". Basically, throwing a tantrum at boring daily routine, obligations and restrictions.

Tons of respect for these guys for what they are doing despite anything and for Finland for letting them represent their country. And it's hardcore punk rock by the way and it only ads awesomeness to the fact.
I had the privilege to meet Kari once. He’s awesome and a genuine punk rock frontman with a killer voice!
you are winner in our hearts! it was a great encouragement and success! congratulations!!
Most badass Eurovision song of all time!
Actually, this is what real punk music is all about. I liked it a lot.
Greetings from Hungary.
The energy in this is incredible! I'm glad they made it to the contest :)
These guys did a really good job last night. To me and my sister it was the best song and we kept our fingers crossed that it would qualify. It was refreshing to hear a different song among all the other entries. Love the lyrics of this song. Love the band. With love from Estonia
Always and forever. 🔥🔥🔥
KÄÄRIÄ hoitaa tänä vuonna voiton suomeen. 💪.
I know that punk might not be the best choice to the Eurovision contest but why so many dislikes when mentally disabled guy sings about their lifes and what things are forbidden or limited for them :/
I'm not sure but could it be that punk wasn't popular in the other countries? I know that in the UK, punk was a thing but how about the other countries? O.o?
Perhaps some people don’t see them as lesser people immediately on first glance and will treat them as if they were any other contestant.
Other contestants have tons of dislikes as well but they’re completely fine.
I voted for Finland, sorry you didn't make it to the final. Greetings from Estonia
We need more countries like Finland. Hungary loves you cousins 💓
Blatant lies
I just like Finland more and more the more I hear and see from them.
EXCELLENT! Too good for it's own good. Love to hear punk rock in ESC
Am I the only one who liked the song?
Valery Eloisa No, I liked it too.
Valery Eloisa Yes, You are the only one. Sadly...
Valery Eloisa No you're not the only one at all! I like it too! And I have seen a lot of people saying they like it. But I guess there's just too many people who didn't like it (for all kinds of different reasons). I really wanted it to get into the final!
No, you weren't
Valery Eloisa have you known all members of this band have Down syndrome
That was the craziest minute and a half I had in a while. My favorites are out, I kinda knew it, but I dont give a damn! Keep on rocking guys!
One of the best rock performance on Eurovision history in my opinion
I see this comment on each ESC song except this one, so let me fill in the gap:
This song should have won
Haha
And just like their points, even their "this song should have won" comment came out of pity
the circle is complete
The Stormfather they don't need pity, at least form me - this song is amazing 😂
Agree!
Ok seriously?
It got DEAD LAST in the semi final.
Neither the viewers or the jury liked them at all.
Thats clearly a VERY unpopular opinion.
They are more true and more musicians than all eurovision contestants put together.
SO underrated! these special guys should have gone to the final
I agree fully, but I couldn't understand the lyrics. I had no clue the song had such a deep meaning.
@@Beennn32 I'm not sure does every country have translated subtext in their Eurovision broadcasts, I assume so. At least we have them here in Finland, and it's nice to understand the meaning of the songs in other languages.
Usually Eurovision songs singed in English have pretty poor lyrics, I mean too simple and meaningless general crap. I prefer native languages and exeptionality or at least quality work.
@@leopartanen9431 On the official TV livestream there is no subtext.
@@Beennn32 Ok, that's a shame. They should have those in every country
@@leopartanen9431 I agree, as I told you I was so shocked when I found out the message was so deep.
The REAL winner!!!! Soo underrated!!!
Thank you Pertti for holding the greek flag at the recap and the support!
10th in televoting
bottom to the juries
why people don't like old school punk? or is it just that because it's in finnish :/ this is pretty awesome song, great group really.
punks not dead... or is it!?
maybe brittish understand us :)
If this song would have been 1 minute longer, Then this would be very good song. It still is thought.
I wonder what would of happened if England sent The Sex Pistols instead of The Brotherhood of Man in 1976?
Hey Brothers, you have got my vote. Greetings from Hungary! :)
This is alpha chad making his dream come true and succeeds with it.
Mun mielestä on ihan hyödyllistä herätä ainaki kerran päivässä.
i'm genuinely impressed.
Fun Fact: If the actual voting sistem was used back in 2015 this song would have qualified for the grand final since it placed 10th in televote
Another fun fact it got 1 point from juries, I wanna know who gave it
Thinking about athmosphere of Eurovision, I never undestrood why this didnt succeed better
It won televotes in semi. Jury put it down.
It's actually very good, I can see why it didn't get through but I actually enjoyed that performance
I love this song. It's so pure.
People didn't understand it's true AWESOMENESS!! Such a shame they didn't pass they were FANTASTIC!!
HATARI - ICELAND 2019?
Different genres
Kind of but different in their own ways
Both have 'mun' in the middle
The vocal technique is similar you can't deny it.
This is ESC at it's best. Totally uncompromised!
I'm gonna tell my kids this was the Ramones
yes im listening to this
This is very cute and brave. People who have disabilities are representing in Eurovision. I have always believed that! But the song is a little too much, and I have to be honest with the song, but they did great! ❤
2006 and 2015 Finland sent fantastic and powerful songs!
Finland stood clear on what they thought of Eurovision, #respect
12 points from greece! Respect:)
Probably the best song of this year
1 min of pure Masterpiece
The cutest! 😍
I don't even care, his voice was god awesome for this style. I hope they were ok after finding out they didn't qualify.
They should've gone through to the final. A little variation wouldn't have hurt.
I love this,i would vote just for the respect❤Love to finland who choosed this
Wow. Very unexpected and left-field. I like it! Rough and ready...like punk should be! Well done!
The song title in English is: "I always have to....". Basically, throwing a tantrum at boring daily routine, obligations and restrictions.
I'm not saying they were bad, I'm just saying they are different from the rest :D They won with a similar song a few years back so it's fine. Most of the people who comment don't know their story, language, what they tried to say with the song etc. So looking forward to see Finland next year! Greetings from Romania.
I want them to Final
I think these guys are one of the best Acts in eurovision. And i dont care if they lost at least they were original.
I made an essay from this in my school. It's actually more deep than it seems!
No, it’s not. They never have to work or do anything
@@auvomesilampi6325 that’s one message for it! If they proved Europe that people like them can’t work, they need to be taken care in society even If they don’t understand it so they can survive!
@@auvomesilampi6325 ja oon muuten suomalainen myös. Nää tyypit antoi hienon näkökulman yhteiskunnan normeihin :D
WE NEED MORE PUNK AND ROCK SONGS IN EUROVISION!!
I love punk and I love this song, hopefully we get more genre diversity in Eurovision
This is the most punk rock thing I've ever seen
The best song 2015
This was the only song that wasn't played on the finnish radio.
Reason?
Radios are not allowed to play protest songs.
So plus for sending them to ESC, but minus points on the laws on my country for forbidding this song to be played in-country.
Protesti tiskaamiselle ja karkin syömiselle?
