I think the jury judge performances in a different way. Probably how complex a song is, choreography, the meaning/message, etc. - so not only that it sounds good. In this regard, I guess other performances convinced the jury more.

The are large fan bases all throughout Europe and I’ve been watching the Super Bowl here in Italy with a large group of fans every year. The problem is the time of the game. Anyway The average number of views is 100 million. It has gone down the last two years if I’m not mistaken.

The best moment from the whole competition in my opinion was when they were revealing public votes and they went to Finland, and after many zeros and under one hundreds, they got the first big score of 218 and went to first place for a few sweet moments. I'm so proud of my boys, they deserve the world xxx

I'm listening to this great rock song in 2024. This was the start of the renaissance of Finland after covid. Blind Channel, The Rasmus, Kaarija and (Eurovision 2024 has to start when I'm writing this) Windows95man. All brilliant and unique in their own way. Eurovision in the early 2020's would have been really different without Finland.

The guitarists and their moves are INSANE, one of the biggest highlights of this performance for me.
Only problem is that in Eurovision they don't really play their instruments anymore
@@sh33pyyy at least they sing. That's in the rules. Playing instruments sadly but make sense because it's doable but in the same time almost impossible to sound check everyone and hope live mixing work perfectly and equally for everyone. Instrument wise

@@Ximonic drums are not live, but you cannot fake it either. So basically Tommi the drummer play drums but they are not plugged in I mean there are no microphones. My relative said that who is drummer when they filmed music video for their crimson sun band that music come from tape when they film but only thing you can hear sort of is drums because you can't fake drums. Hope you understand what I meant in this. Happy summer ✌🏼

2021 was the best Eurovision ever with so many good songs I still listen to on a daily basis. Finland as personal favorite. Italy, ukaine and iceland were also amazing.

the fact that these guys got finland's best result since 2006 when they won with a rock song shows that the people know exactly what genre finland excels in . pretty sure these guys didn't even see måneskin as competition , they were just happy that rock is back in the public eye ! top 10 for both of them as well , what an amazing night .

I think this song would fit under nu metal, similar to old Linkin park but the band themselves have said their sound is a genre they call "Violent pop" taking influence from multiple genres.

The JURIES have f**ked them up and only give Finland 83 points which make me think that if Lordi were to be participate in this year he might wouldn't have won the contest because 2006 was only televoting system therefore Finland won that year. The juries are the ones let Finland lose the game

And the meaning of the "middle finger" in this song is not about "up yours" type of symbol. The band gave an interview explaining it and they said they wrote the song as a support song for everyone who have felt they are outsiders. If others leave them out, bullies them because of how they look, act, comes from, sexual identity or for whatever reason even when you are just who you are then show them a middle finger and join the dark side and be happy being who you are. It is not your problem if others don't like you the way you are, it is a loss for others if they don't want to get to know you. If you are happy in "the dark side" then maybe it is not so dark place after all?

The members of Blind Channel headbanged and sang along to Måneskin's song after Italy won, so cute... It really almost feels like they both won because there's so much energy in both of their songs. The jury only likes sleeper songs or manufactured sounds with cliched messages, clearly.
Maneskin would do the same. They both knew that whoever of those two won, rock music would win, and it did.
Yeah, Blind Channel said in an interview that they didn't think of Måneskin as an opponent. They were just happy that there was another rock band there, and they hit it off very good behind the scenes, and were partying together after Italy's win!
I don’t understand how you can have this take when Italy won with rock. Personally, I think Finland did get a little ripped off but I don’t believe the genre was anything to do with it.

@@Zed_eS What I said is not as much about the genre as much it is about the spirit both Måneskin and Blind Channel brought to the stage. Both really energetic bands with a specific aesthetic, and they're friendly with each other because of that. I personally like all of the fan favorites (Italy, Ukraine, Finland and Iceland; except France because I can't roll with the whole amelodic trend happening in music these days) so I feel really good about this year and the top 6. I don't know if I'm illustrating what I said well so tldr: I like both Måneskin and Blind Channel, and them liking each other's music and approving feels like they both won.
Even if there was no Italy, we all know rock would win Eurovision 2021
