Doesn't match my picture of Whitehall, he doesn't have a blaze. Looks like Valiant who was in the same box on Wednesday morning.

Love your video's john your commentary is great thank you for sharing with us all❤
❤
I love this horse’s attitude! He/she is very chill. A very happy horse! Seems to be younger? Very alert to surroundings, but doesn’t bother tourists much. Very pretty horse how it holds its head high. Idk if its name is Whitehall or not. I hope to see more of it after its vacation.
My grandfather was a Sargent in the kings horse Artillery in the first world War, enlisted at seventeen and remained until his early thirties. Very proud of him 😊
King’s Troop horses are a lot smaller. But these females marching knock spots off the men I have to say. Well done ladies
Kings troop wear much more suitable boots !
@simonwallis1787 Historically, of course, the Household Cavalry fought on horseback whereas the RHA had to dismount to man the guns so needed to be more mobile and required no protection on their legs.
You put me in such a good mood for the day with your hysterically funny little made up stories. Your sense of humor is so enjoyable, your laugh contagious. There is no other channel around Horse Guard that can compare. Thank you for taking us with you on his little journey everyday.
I must get back to the housework instead of enjoying your videos John 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Hear hear totally agree John you make my day and sometimes have to put hand over my mouth to stop laughing out loud thankyou
Bye Bye you great Blues and Royals Guards and Horses. Have a beautiful Summer Break. I will miss you, especially my favourite Guard.😔😘❤️💕
the last 2 on duty can't wait to be out of there for 'vacation time' away from the tourists! the stories they will tell around the campfires 🤣
When you see these ladies it easy to forget these are professional soldiers trained in the art of war.
The Guard has discovered that his boot is quite effective 😂
Yes, that lady was moving closer and closer!
From Vancouver, Canada. Thank you for saying such kind things about our beloved RCMP.
@@geebowgee Keep politics out of this and just enjoy the horses.
@@dianeedwards803Cranky old Bill must have once spent a night in the slammer courtesy of our RCMP.

Hope the Blues and Royals have a relaxing break! Thank you for sharing this with us!
Lifeguards as well 😊
That woman is not afraid she is blind and the other woman is explaining what the horse is like !
What a spectacular show this morning! So sad to see the Blues & Royals leave but great to see the Lady soldiers and their beautiful horses come in.
That would be cool to see our Mounties there. 😊🇨🇦
John, you missed the guard kicking the two ladies away from touching him. Your camera picked it up, thankfully, He even moved the horse over. Great capture of the King's Troop arriving!!❤😊
I have to remark on the trooper kicking his boot at those 2 women. I don’t think it was necessary the first time because she didn’t even touch the trooper. At least, not that my eyes saw. And moving the horse away from the women was a bit much, too me. I felt badly. Am I wrong?
@@dancersmom4u It's not that you're wrong. It's just that the guards put up with so many rude people daily. They deserve respect. They weren't intentionally rude perhaps, but hopefully others will learn from it.
They most certainly do deserve to have a good holiday. Will miss them though! What more can a horse lover ask for, all those Clevland Bays arriving with their very smart troopers, it is so lovely to see them back, I really do hope both the troopers and trooper horses have a wonderful time, Horse guards will be well looked after while they are on holiday.
The horses of The Kings Troop aren't Cleveland Bay , they are the same breeding as HCav horses Irish draft Thoroughbred mix . HCav use only blacks Kings Troop bays , chestnut , black , smaller as well .
@@kathellison8084thank you for the explanation.
Is this, the guards' break time, when they take the horses to the beach for some fun in the sun and water? I love those videos, these elegant horses rolling in the sand and kicking.
That gentleman was very respectable. It was very polite of him to ask you which way it was okay to go. 😊
I love London and it's people. Forty plus years ago, I was privileged to live there for 2 years. I was at the Royal Veterinary College. Your videos bring back fond memories.
Thank-you John for bringing us this beautiful video today. I'm sure P2 will be just as amazing. Had to laugh when that lady at 9:15 got booted twice, yes, by that beautiful guard. I agree, he is quite handsome. So is the 🐎 of course!
Hi John. Sorry to miss all that this morning. But I can tell all the folks that Kings Troop are doing 'split shift' this year. They'll be back for another fortnight in the winter 25 Nov to 8 Dec.
I felt like applauding the Blues and Royals as they left for the summer! Job well done to the troopers and horses (Ormonde 🥰 in particular for his cheeky attitude.)
Wow!!! Another glorious sight, the Blues with the Polo Team and the Blues heading down Whitehall. 2:32
John's favorite word....."however".
I'll miss the Blues and Royals. Thank you for the excelent video and have a wounderful weekend!
Thank you, John, for an exciting video today. You were so very much in the right place at the right time. And weren’t you humorous today! Thank you for putting a smile on my face.
First horse in box, first tourist…grabs the rein?? 🤦🏼♀️
Beautiful horses! I’m so impressed there’s mostly women! 💪🏻👍🏻 thanks John, from Tennessee, US…🙏🏻xx
John, The ranks are Gunner, 1 stripe Lance Bombardier, 2 Stripes Bombardier, 3 Stripes Sgt, 3 Strips And a crown above Staff Sgt, Crown on bottom of cuff W02. Hope this helps
Hi John WOW WOW WOW what a video. Well done you
Just when l think it couldn't get any better
Thank yo so very much ❤
A trooper not wanting to be mauled by the tourists.😅 9:45
Now, that was the " money shot"!! What a gorgeous sight. Welcome to the Gunners, happy holidays dear Blues and Life Guards and four sweet greys. The Pakistani Army Polo Team! That would be a sight! Thank you John. Have a wonderful day everyone.
Awesome job John. You caught it all today. Thank you.
You are making a habit of this perfect timing John 😀 . Good job you didn't stay on the Parade ground missing all the excitement , Pakistan Polo team , Kings Troop arriving along Whitehall , first change over, Blues and Royals lining up for photos with the Polo team , then leaving along Whitehall ! All that in one hour , good thing it wasn't as hot as previous days . Strange only 2 weeks away for HCav , I wonder where they're going this year as you've said not to Norfolk ? Can't wait for part 2 , 😀😀😀
Hi John. One of my most favourite videos. Couldn't stop watching. Bye, bye to all Troopers équine & human. Hope you all have a wonderful break. Looking forward to seeing the Kings Troop Horse Artillary in action.😊
I do like the Kings Troop and look forward to them taking over for a couple of months during the summer.
RA, RHA and KIngs Troop ranks are (Gunner (private), Lance Bombardier (Lance Corporal), Bombardier (Corporal), Seargent ).
What a magnificent sight. 👏👏🏴🇬🇧🌹
John you crack me up with your antics 😂😂
So we start in the Artillery with a Gunner (Trooper) Then come the NCOs with the lance corporal (one chevron) but that one is called lance bombardier here, the corporal (two chevrons) is a bombardier then the sergeant (three chevrons and in in HCAV we knew them as Corporal of Horse). And then there is the staff sergeant (three chevrons and a crown). So much for the start I'll explain all the ranks above that when we get to see them. Maybe you can use this and it will help you.
Brilliant as ever - thank you!
@@LondonCityWalks thank you for the videos, the infos are based on what i sent you today, i just thought it would be interesting for some other viewers as well.

@@LondonCityWalks it was indeed a Lieutenant of the Blues and Royals and sadly the Photographer is right the Troop will just be there from 28.6-12.7 ( confirmed by their webside)
Absolutely love your videos- thank you so much John, I had my own horse many years ago and love seeing who the horses are, especially Ormonde! 🐴❤
I love your laugh john, it's so cheeky it's great, these kings guards do a fantastic job and horses it's unusual that there isn't any police, I hope the kings guards and horses have a lovley break, they really need it, thank-you john for a brilliant video have a lovley weekend ❤❤xxxx
Great video and so lucky with being in the right place for the arrival of the Kings troop. Thank you for another brilliant watch.

Beautiful horses and beautiful uniforms. So happy you were able to film this.❤️
Thank you for such a fantastic video!! Cheers to so many women on the horses!! They do know more than most in order to get where they are! The horses are shorter but just as beautiful!! Hope the Blues and Ro6als have a super and relaxing holiday!! Have a fun in the pride parade!😁😁
Well, a little extra excitement for me this Friday morning, in Washington state, USA. So glad you were there to catch the changing of the guard. There were some lucky tourists, being able to get photos of both. Fascinating to see the troop primarily made up of women. I had no idea times had changed so much! ✨
I would love to see the Gurkhas!!
The Gurkha's mount guard at Buckingham Palace not at its official entrance at Horse Guards. Infantry Regiment's do not mount guard at Horse Guards.
@@Peter-lm3ic it was said that different guards take over the regular guards for several weeks. One can only hope....
Hi John!! That was Magnificent just loved it. All going on a well deserved Holiday hope they have a great time. Great to see the Horse Guards Royal Artillery back i remember most from last year and they are No push overs. Thank you John Stay Safe ❤️❤️🇬🇧🇬🇧
Absolutely fantastic! 🎉
Only you capture these important events. Thank you for this first hand experience.
What a wonderful event for you to catch John! TY for sharing. I so enjoyed it.
Looking forward to youtube getting part 2 up for our enjoyment. Great video! My first in seeing the changeover. I'll miss the Blues & Royals, and look forward to their return.
What an interesting morning John. Really enjoyed this time . . . What a great capture for you, and to see. I remember seeing these Troops last year. The crowds are amazing . Thank you John: Kiwi
Job well done John.
Good evening, (here in Europe) good morning, good afternoon, to you all ! 🙋♀️
Nice video, nice comments, as always, I like the arrival of the " Bumblebee Regiment" from the school. ☺
😂😂😂
This was an extra special video. So majestic ❤❤❤
What a morning, really enjoyed it. Thanks John
One of The King’s Troop’s many traditions is that of ‘hogging’, where a remount horse that has successfully been trained to work in a gun team is named and then has it’s mane shaved - the mark of a passed out horse.
I can't believe the audacity of people!!! They flat out ignore the police when told to get back behind the bollards! They continue to pose! What lack of respect for authority!
Awesomeness 👍
Thanks for the video once again
Cheers
What a fantastic morning watching this happening.the the kings troop look great all girls.thanks John great filming enjoying this in AUSTRALIA
Now, I’m feeling the blues when the Blues left…🐴😔
What a brilliant Kodak moment, loved this video John, it got me choked up.
I love your coverage, thank you❤️
What a beautiful sight, and to watch the horses shuffling to the left was so precise and gorgeous to watch!! Thank you John!!!🥰🥰🥰
Hope the Blues n Royals have a lovely relaxing break they so so deserve it. Have fun horses 🐎
Phew! An exhausting morning John, and I'm only watching on screen! Brilliant captures today. Thanks. 🥰
Best video out at least you get constant commentary and you know what’s going on
You have been very funny today with your content, and it was very nice to see The Kings Troop arriving at Horse Guards 💂♀️
Wow that was a fantastic video thank you John that was superb 🥰👍
Directing tourists must be like herding cats!
The troopers look fantastic thanks, john, for being there to filming it for us ❤❤❤❤
So sad to see the Blues leave😢😢 but they did it in style, through the front gates👍👍 I'm happy, though, that they are going to stay away but just for two weeks. Almost had a heart attack when i saw the Artillery bay follow after the Cavalry black in the box, because of the difference in size🙂. I didn't realize how used i had become to the Cavalry horses in the 8-9 months i had been following Horse Guards. At least visually. And i did see the Artillery horses at least 3 or 4 times during the rehearsals as well as Major General's review and Colonel's review and King Charles's review of the troops, but they were among other Artillery bays, while the Cavalry ones were among themselves. So i had the impression they were a lot taller/bigger but it was not based on comparison to the Cavalry horses. I hope the Artillery horses and guards will have two nice weeks at Horse Guards, without too much hoopla and nasty tourists. And the Blues&Life Guards get some much needed rest!(as time allows it)
Amazing video John. What a coup! Really proves the point of being in the right place at the right time.
Much Aloha to you John from former monarchy Hawaii. 11 hours behind you in London, so 9:23 am Friday. Here's hoping you have a pleasantly eventful day. ❤ Coffee and your video starting my day.....thank you!
Going to be interesting to see how these horses handle the people being so close to them and touching them.
Good Morning Everyone
Good morning Mary 🥰
Happy friday from usa. Georgia. ❤
Good morning all
The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery is the Saluting Battery to His Majesty’s Household. It fires Gun Salutes to mark the grand occasions of State, including The King’s Birthday Parade, Royal Birthdays and Births. Commanded by Major John E Baileff RHA, the unit consists of 165 officers and soldiers, being the most diverse regiment in The British Army, with a demographic of 52% female and at last count boasting 9 different nationalities and 14 faiths and Christian denominations represented.
It was a gun carriage of the Royal Horse Artillery that bore the coffin of Queen Elizabeth II, her father King George VI and Princess Diana from Buckingham Palace to Westminster. As the monarch’s Mounted Ceremonial Battery, the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery also fires Royal Salutes for grand occasions of State. The King’s Troop is now the only remaining mounted unit of the Royal Horse Artillery. The Troop proudly stands at its barracks in Woolwich, Southeast London, comprised of 170 personnel and 120 magnificent horses.
Absolutely gorgeous to Watch. You were in right place John ty for your service 💂♂️ 🐎 🌟 💖
Great to see the King's Troop arrive. Thanks John.
The lady guards are so smart.
Exciting times today and you captured it all. Well done!
This is outstanding! 🎉
John dear, mind the bollards! Sorry, couldn't help it 😂 . Great footage today, wonderful
What an amazing day of firsts!!! Thanks John!! In America, the second horse has a roached mane. I don't care for the look, so I never did that to my horse.
What a treat!!! 🥰🥰🥰The RHA look splendid!!! The horses are beautiful!!!😍😍😍 You really were at the right place...at the right time!!! Shout out to my favourite member of H.Cav DAN!!!! ❤❤❤Hope the troop enjoy their hols!!!🩴🩴🪣🍦 Thanks for this brilliant video John..just watch out for those pesky bollards!!! 😂😂😂 xxxxxxx

I had a chat with the Lady who sneaks the Polo Mints. She laughed and said she was the only one with special permission. I wouldn't want to be in trouble, but she is a great police lady and she is polite and she answered my questions.

Oh I had to cheat & fast forward a bit! I will watch it all later! Such pretty horses!
Wow! What a banner day! Horse Guards Parade is becoming like Forrest Gump’s box of chocolates, you never know what you’re going to get! Loved seeing the Kings Troop come in and the Blues and Royals exit. I’m hoping for a misprint on the two weeks vacation, they all need a month, please! Looking forward to part two!😻🐎❤️
34:37 love this view of the Horse Guards, don't see it very often.
good to see the kings troop artillery back. stunning horses and uniforms. They will keep tourists in check. gLad other regiments will have a break from silly tourists. 😊
John I so love listening to you I learned so much in the last year. I happened to watch someone else, no comments at all. Till the Kings Guards arrived I had no idea that’s who I had been watching. I spent a week watching older videos since I was in the hospital. You were there to keep me entertained.

Love how often you have been the one exclusively in the yard filming! 😊❤
