Your conversations with others is hard to hear, it's frustrating.

I have to play devil's advocate for a sec. First I will say I 100% agree that this group is obnoxious, rude and disrespectful and I want to slap them. My husband is retired military and if anyone treated our soldiers like this it would burn me up. Now, as I was reading all the comments most were negative and it hit me...wow that's a lot of negativity (yes warranted). So I got thinking, what makes this singular group of people behave this way? Is it cultural, religious, political, etc. Is there something in their world that keeps them from understanding why their behavior is so disrespectful? Are they being taught in school to behave this way? Do they act like this in other countries? Is it just Horse Guards or is it other tourist attractions? Do they climb on the lions at that big fountain, do they throw popcorn during theater productions, touch paintings in the museum, annoy the police horses? You get the idea. It's not just one group of them It's every group. So there must be something in their upbrings to behave this way (clearly the parents don't stop them, but join in). I'm fascinated from a sociological perspective. John, I know you've talked with a few men before, but I don't know if any of them provided any sort of answer other than gaffawing and pretending they don't understand? Who knows maybe they don't understand why we are all upset. Doubtful as they don't strike me as unintelligent, just ignorant. From understand can come respects, on both sides. Ok I'm done. Back to our disgust. P.S. Oh, and kudos to the soldiers for remaining professional, dignified, and classy at all times. You do your country proud and provide an exemplary example to us all. You have my respect.

People amaze me. When you are acquainted with horses, you don't do walkups like the tourists. I always wore riding boots when working with horses. A horse can step on your foot before you react. My dad rode a horse to school when he was a kid. He carried a slight scar on his head from being kicked by a horse that knew him.
