Rexin_Around A video about you would be nice! (Whats your connection with starwars and the clones, when did you start building armors, how did you met your pointrain buddies, what are your future projects, motivations, other hobbies, etc!)
The 501st are actually a non profit company that do star wars based charity work. George Lucas saw what they were doing and thats how the 501st came around👍
Heck yes. This was the perfect time to get into this stuff. Can't wait to get guidance from the best troops around! Also, from your story question, probably whoever it is that plays Thorn (aside from you, of course)
This was such a great walkthrough, and really got to see how much attention to detail there is in these suits. Awesome job! Super informative to me at least :) Honestly the talking to yourself at 7:50 was so relatable, your videos are amazing dude, i love seeing them come up in my feed!
I love watching people putting their armors together. I have a Phasma and the work that's involved just getting dressed is ridiculous hahaha. It's all worth it though! Thank you for such an awesome in-depth look at how the Clones go together!
Going through all of your videos because I'm about to start my Captain Rex armor creation journey (first time doing anything like this, super nervous lmao), and yours is by far the best I've seen
Hey! I just came across this video of yours right now and it's my first time viewing your channel. I appreciated the simple and straight foward explanations, and I'm gonna look at your other videos. You just got yourself another fan and subscriber!
Excellent video Mike, even for me. A lot of good info that I could take away from this. As I hope to get to building on my armor insanely soon and it helps to know these little tidbits. Suspenders, Velcro, where to implement it and such. Lol.
Damn, I would get into this in a heartbeat if I had the cash! Nothing would be more awesome than making people happy in a suit of freaking Clone armor!
Lol i was trolling on the insta livestream while you were making this, awesome stuff like always rexin great that you do this, i am looking forward to more vids.
I loved this video! Thank you so much for this. I am currently trying to make my own armor for fun. I made one earlier out of an old hasbro Captain Rex helmet from the first three seasons of the clone wars and a storm trooper costume but now I’m trying to make my own legit armor. I would also like to join the 501st whenever I can but I want to have armor ready before I do that. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Three questions; First what do you recommend for the under suit. Second is what do you recommend for the Kama to be made out of. Third, is all the paint the same or do you recommend any specific brand or style?
anakin: noone can kill a jedi twenty years later padawan: master skywalker there are to many of them what are we going to do anakin: *ignites lightsaber
I didnt think I wanted to be a clone because I'm a FAT boy. But then I saw your other videos and realized that with love and care I can make it work and look good and now I really want this kit. I'm looking forward to it and I hope the different shape and dimensions of clone armor will suit me better than stormtrooper armor.
This is amazing. I am losing my mind because I cannot find a purchasable animated series armor set. There are so many amazing sets out there with no sources. I don't even know how they're made.
@Rexin_Around Hi captain! I had one or two question for you. 1. Does imperialsurplus sell the helmet separatly? Im only 19 and i would like to begin building a rex or wolffe armor but i dont have that extra 1500$ for the moment! 2. Do you have any recommendations on how i should start in the meanwhile? I live in Montreal Canada so theres no 501st around here... :/ Btw im so hyped for your next videos. Lookin forward to this! You’re awesome!
Hi, Imperial Surplus does indeed sell just helmets. The Canadian Garrison has 163 members, its likely theres a member nearby somewhere. Best bet is to follow their FB or IG pages and see if they're going to be trooping near you at some point, and go for a chat :)
Hey im just curious bc ive watched alot of your suiting up videos and this one too and i quite enjoy them and has inspired me to make a suit for myself but i never can find any info about the black layer you wear under the armor and im just wonder what is it
@@RexinAround thank you so much for responding tbh ive been trying to figure out a solution and was going to go for like a body suit lol but that just seems way simpler thank you
So I'm late to this video and I apologize for that, but WHERE can I find this armor either for sale or instructions on how to construct it? I plan on cos playing from the 212th and haven't found any good quality armors.
Hey rex! I realy want to make my own clone armor, and a lot of people are telling me that EVA foam is good material... is that true? And how thick is the armor overall? Thanks!
I wish I was good at building stuff I've tried and tried but I'm just so bad at it... anyone know anyplace to buy good accurate starwars costumes? I give up at this point on making one my own.
You buy the parts in kit form and build it to fit your body type, like a giant model kit. Read here first: databank.501st.com/databank/Join_Us Then sign up for the detachment of the character you want to do. The "detachments" are the character-specific web sites we have set up where you can find armor vendors and all the info on how to put it all together. And stay FAR AWAY from Ebay, Amazon or any other web site that claims to make approvable armor. Almost all are scams or sell complete junk. You want to stay away from buying completed/ mass produced costumes. Just about all, even the expensive officially licensed ones, are very inaccurate and very poor quality. Or the company is a joke and has awful customer service. Plus, hard armor is not "1 size fits all" and you want to build your costume to fit your body type. Often times our members will sell their old costumes they don't want anymore. If you go that route and buy one, you want to make sure that the seller is close to your body type. But even then, you might still have to make some modifications. Also, keep in mind that this is an expensive hobby. Expect to pay anywhere from $300 to $5,000 USD, depending on the costume.
That's badass dude! I can't wait to build mine! I do have a couple questions. 1 How do i join the 501st, and 2 do you have a Commander Appo clone in the 501st, and which know clones "heros" are in the 501st? So as to not duplicate a clone trooper.

Hey question, if you could name your price would you be willing to make clone trooper armour for me!? Captain Rex of course and would it be possible for you to make it durable enough to play paintball (able to stay together whilst running around and heavy resin coating to protect against shots)
hey i want to start creating my female version of captain rex at the beginning of next year and came across your channel and your videos are just so nice
How much would u charge for having one of these suits built for another person of similar body type. also how much for the materials used to build the suit
Chris Walter I spent about $2200 Canadian on the suit unfinished. Then for the amount of time someone puts into building this could easily want 500-1000 more. I'm 90% done and I've put 50-60 hours into it.
When you make the toutorial (sorry for bad spelling) you should put a list in the description for everything you used and everything you recomend like the list of materials and tools and all that.

Rexin_Around you're right. I worded that incorrectly, but from what I understand is real world functional means leather pouches. Or did you get around that by sewing them closed?
Thanks so much for watching! Do you have any recommendations for videos you’d like to see?

Rexin_Around is it awkward when you first join
good question! No! Haha the 501st people are so welcoming. I immediately had more friends in the first day than I had my entire life.
Oh interesting haha. I may have to build up the courage for that one.
Maybe as the series progresses you could have a 20-30 sec segment on each go the clones in and out of armour. 1 guy per video?

That’s all cosplays. 😂 Super glue, Hot glue, buckles, Velcro, zippers, and tears... maybe some blood.
I made a super cheap/crappy one out of used pizza boxes, white tape, and tears
Hahahahahahaha I was not expecting the tears part 😂
How to do it?

Same. Rn I’m no where close money wise to getting an armor kit.
Did you ever make it?

Nate Macrae hah i bet you are thinking different as of now
I told that to Google Assistant, she said "Sorry, I don't have an inhibitor chip."
I wasn't disappointed. 👍🏼
Ur Clone armour (Captain Rex) is by far the coolest from the pointrainclone squad ;)

That AT-AT was really cool in the background, it just slowly walked, stalking its prey.
Why does the AT-AT move at 2:15?
Daniel Gutierrez lol 😂
Why do you move?
Anyone else see the old toy AT-AT move almost every time he started to talk about a new piece? 😂
The part with the straps and the magnets really helped me! Doing a phase one and didn’t know how to attach the back haha
I cant wait to see the series take off!!! Clone recruit here!
Yes!! This is awesome! Thank you for making this series!

Do you have to build the armor from scratch, or can you buy the pieces then build them yourself?
its cheaper to build most of it yourself in the long run but it doesn't hurt to invest in a good bucket.
You can order sets but they have you paint and fit the armor to your body type and size
Pretty sure he got his armor from Imperial Surplus (look it up on google), but you could probably build it yourself

I'm super hyped for your tutorial, what clone are you going to build on the tutorial?
Did you know the rest of the clones before you made your first suit, or did you meet them through the 501st?
Camden Lowe good question! I had a clone trooper helmet and they spotted me at an event. We were best friends from that moment on haha.
hi rex!
i am making some out of EVA foam, would i need the harness to hold it up? if so, can it be simplified.
its just supposed to be for halloween
This is amazing. I am losing my mind because I cannot find a purchasable animated series armor set. There are so many amazing sets out there with no sources. I don't even know how they're made.
Go check out impirial surplus, if you are interested in buying one send them an email😉
CT-6116 “Kix” is the best Point Rain Clone😏
I want to create my own armor so which materials Is better to use ?
@4:47 clone suspenders. Never going to see your shots in the same way again haha.
Could you do a video showing how you made those leather pouches?
Where’s the best place to get the foam and fans for the interior of the helmet?
Outstanding work, bruh!
By any chance do you know anyone in Brazil who can make an armor as good as yours?
@Rexin_Around Hi captain! I had one or two question for you.

Oh super easy! It’s under armour cold gear! Just a shirt and pants!
@@RexinAround thank you so much for responding tbh ive been trying to figure out a solution and was going to go for like a body suit lol but that just seems way simpler thank you
I’m planning on getting the shore trooper armour from imperial surplus:)
Does the kama come with the kit or do you have to buy it separately?
Do you have a tutorial to make the armor???
How do you go to the bathroom?? Also I love and want the suit. I am being a clone trooper for Halloween. Wish me luck.
You have to take it all off for that.
When have you planed to start the tutorial series?
Did you buy these and added somethings to it or did you make them you're self
Do you have to join the 501st to get the armour or you made that armour yourself?
Thanks, now I know how to put on a clone trooper armor.
What do you use for the black body suit? I was thinking black Under armor heat gear.
Yep, that's what we use. Just make sure no logos are visible.
I can't find how a can assembling the armor sad :(
I have a question I am looking for type of blue color I have to use for the phase 2 rex armor. Does anyone know with type of blue I have to use ?
LOVE THIS SOOO MUCH I WANNA DO IT SO BAAAAAD
which armor has the best visibilty
Can you give a link to where you can buy the armor kits you use? Thank you!!

As for your 2nd question, there are lots of Appo''s. Just as there are lots of Vaders. Make it if you want to.
I don't suspect anyone to answer this, but did you buy the armor or did you make it yourself, or 3d print it?
