This event was coordinated by Trinity Squad a part of Nordic Garrison covering the area of Mälardalen (Stockholm, Uppsala, Västerås).

I love how you can just show up at a con dressed as a storm trooper, and just get with all the other storm troopers, and if you see Darth Vader, just start following him around, and it is all so natural

Man I love stormtrooper armor. I remember being a little boy watching new hope for the first time seeing the storm troopers storm that blockade runner and just murdering rebel scum. Too bad they aren't shown as they're meant to be. Highly skilled accurate soldiers feared by all. (Only some of the comics and a rebels episode depicts that they are actually badasses and only top of the class can pass the rigorous training)
There's also a scene in Rogue One that properly depicts their skill.

Should check the slave Leia photoshoot from Star Wars Celebration 2019. Deadpool does a fabulous bikini layout. I would have been in the shoot had I not worn my bikini the day before. If I remember correctly George was even there too.

God I love these guys. So committed to it, dressing up in all that plastic armor, with the weapons and all that. And the pre-recorded phrases are awesome too.
Just imagine stormtrooper equivalents marching in lockstep with them. Soldiers from Jin-roh the wolf brigade, helghast troops, guardsmen from 40k, mobile infantry from starship troopers. It'd be a sight to see. I'd pay money to see it animated.
I am so fascinated by the fact these units exist all over the world. There is more unity in this hobby then in the whole world itself. It is absolutely incredible that so many people come together and do things like this. Create these legions and have a common goal of just enjoying themselves. Absolutely amazing! How great and kind they are to fans too! I'd love to do what they do!

14:06 impressed to see a senior cosplayer. He must've been an old timer, watching original trilogy when it came out. Looks very authentic, like an old officer he probably must've been in Republican and then Imperial army.
Although it is possible that it could be a fake beard and that he isn't actually that old, just can't tell for sure when it is a good cosplayer.
the costumes are probably about as strong as the actual armor lmao.
Serious cosplay and prop-building are pretty much on the same level.
The former just tends to have more time to make theirs. :)

Stormtrooper batallions were such a thing over 50 years of SW fandom. Fans in many countries bought outfits, chose a designated squad name and appeared together at cons and charity events.
Imagine walking down the street and a group of guys in studded leather jackets pass by with the name "Vader's Fist" printed on the back. The whiplash from finding out they weren't a band would give me whiplash lol.
