13:22 Car Guy Talk - Auta a dopravní prostředky
The audio is messed up in the intro, but the onboard part is fine. Something went terribly wrong with rendering the file and it now has double audio at 1:50 for whatever reason. I checked the editing timeline and all is good there. I have no clue what happened. I guess we'll have to repeat again next year :)
No worries dude.
We still understand it perfectly :)
Good thing it’s just a few seconds and not the whole video:)
It scared the hell out of me hahah
i thought i was losing my mind for a few seconds, had to rewind to check if it was me or the vid lol
What the hell, that was actually funny😂
I thought I was going schizophrenic 😂
This is my car, had a great laugh with Misha, got scared in a few places. Will be back next year with a few more mods and hopefully get another lap with misha 😉
Nice car man very clean
jamiemead3082 ... very nicely built Fiat Coupe. If there really are just 400 20V Turbo's left in the UK, I'd better get out there and buy one before they're gone - I remember when they were new!
@@oscarwilde5473 I think specifically for just the 20VT yes, but then there are the pluses and LE variants
yepp nice car!!
Had a good friend with one, running 300bhp, scared the crap out of me, I had a drive and it scared the crap out of me again
Love how Misha accept all the cars and brands… the car scene should be like him. So respectfully and lovely
Except he doesn't like Lambos
@@jimb12312 Have you seen how they drive? There's a good reason for it. However he still takes them out to give em a rip, he just knows they don't handle well and confirms it for himself every video I've seen him drive one.
@@jimb12312if Lambo actually made a good driving car. He would like them. Simples
@@gold6813they do. there was something wrong with that sto. its not a diablo
If you don’t like and accept Fiat coupé you don’t like cars
You should print a "MISHA ON BOARD" sign to attach to the car's rear window, so the other drivers don't get too frustrated about being overtaken by a car worth 1/100 of what they're driving
this is an amazing idea hahah
nah, that would end up in people driving super aggressive for the video as soon as they see the sign, making it extra dangerous for Misha
@@enfantterrible4868 Unfortunately true.
Or that Misha should hand out stickers for cars he drove on the ring something like "Misha was here"
"You have been Mishated"
The transition from happiness to concern at 5:38 > 5:45 is brilliant
The fun part is that Misha left a ton of room in the trajectory, just in case.
7:34 - 7:42 looks exciting
Being a 90s kid, these were always in a special category. What a tastefully modded example. And that is a great engine with a beautiful soundtrack
its basic mods, not tastefull.
Another 90s coupe beauty 😍
I always loved the quirky design of the Fiat coupe Turbo.
I was introduced to this car thanks to Gran Turismo 3, even though it was in Gran Turismo 2.
Very glad to see that outside Italy there are so many people cultivating a huge passion towards this kind of classic Italian cars… respect!!
They’re ALL outside Italy! Italians don’t understand Fiats were great 😊
in my region in Italy there is the same car for 3,000 euros you just need to repaint the front bonnet and roof
That was awesome.
That glorious 5 cylinder 20v turbo engine is unique and sounds fantastic
Just can't beat the 5 cylinder sound. Cheers guys👊
In Brazil this engine is often used for preparation, they are used in the FIAT Marea here, incredible!!
In my mechanic time I have serviced a marea 5 cilinder one time here in the netherlands/europe so the 5 cilinders were also in the marea here in europe.
I verry liked the sound. And now I also drive a 5 cilinder car years laters.
Damn the memories, my neighbour used to have one of these when I was little. I remember it was yellow, had tuned exhaust and was the most amazing car for me back then.
Audio issues starting at 1:58 - two misha's at the same time..
I thought I was having a stroke lmao
Double-Misha for more awesome.
i was paranode, if i had another browser tab was opened with same video, lmao )))
Two for the price of one!
Was like a fever dream
Great italian car. Five cylinder, designed by Pininfarina and overall an affordable classic
Actually they only used Pininfarinas design for the interieur. The exterieur design is from someone else which name I forgot unfortunetly
@@ArcanumMortis98 designed by Chris Bangle, mostly known for his controversial era at BMW, but I think his designs aged really well.
@@Galf506 Ah, yeah right. Thanks
My uncle had this car back in 98 in black with red trim and it was the first time I felt real performance in a car. It really surprised me that it is front wheel drive. He paid £22k for it back in 98. Its nice to see that people are seeing the hidden value of these cars.
Wow, what a great car. It has never really been made for the track, but it seems to be very capable, handling looks good. I really love the design, sometimes it is called the 'poor man's Ferrari' for a reason. And the engine sounds really good. Awesome!
Sure is! Much more so than say, Audi TT. Fiat Coupe was for DRIVING 😎 I did easily BTG 8.36 without even knowing the track, then continued vacation down to Italy & back to Sweden in comfort
It seems people forget the coupé 20v turbo was one of the best front wheels drive back in the 2000... i'm italian and i go on the mountain with a group called "veneto ring", we do a lot of touge and a friend of us take his 16v non turbo and put a 20v turbo in it, 220whp with a proper exhaust and that things literally "eat" the road with that 5cyl... see this video literally give me super vibes cause in the future i hope to buy one for good 👍🏻💪🏻
FiveTech engine, the famous and bombastic engine in Brazil, we have cars with this engine with 1200HP, original are problematic, but full modified is a legend.
Misha you made my friend Terry very happy with this lap. He is our resident Fiat Coupe fanatic.. 8)
this is an absolut Legendary Car. I Drove the 20V Limited a few times and its so special
Old but gold, was a truly underestimated motor
engine
ICE
@@slickman5969Come on, this is a multilanguage Channel. 😊
I know Audi and Volvo had their own inline-5... do you know if the Fiat was based on one of them or was Fiat's own design?
@@ThorDyrden This engine was designed by FIAT and it's one of Fiat Pratola Serra modular engines family. Basically FIAT never used engines designed by other manufacturers.
Oh so great to see, 20years ago i owned the 2.0 20v turbo Limited edition version with the black/red interior engine is the same as this one. I had so much joy in that car.
I love these fivetech engines. In Brazil we have the Fiat Marea with 3 variations of these engines and also the Fiat Coupe. In the early 00's turbo Mareas was beasts on Brazilian streets as in that time street modified cars was usually around between 300/400 hp and a lot of Mareas was running with 600+hp
It is an amazing car, glad to see in the green hell
It's absurd that you guys have those engines and us Italians don't
@@renegade25_banhammertech_40 really? In my mind Italy was crowded of these engines. At least you have a lot of nice v6 Alfas, I think...
@@christianvalente5754 i would kill for a Tempra Turbo or a Marea turbo, we only got those 2.0 i5 turbos on the Fiat coupé, the Lancia Kappa and the Lancia Thesis
LOL pure horse cr*p , 600 wasnt possible on these back then. barely is today
@@AndPigsCanFly-ku6ku it's not impossible at all, today we have these cars that handle 900whp. You don't need to believe in me mate, just search here on CZcams for " Fiat Marea 600cv "("CV" is the Portuguese translation for "HP") and you will see how many of these we have running smoothly here.
In Brazil high powered cars are very expensive so we have a huge scene of modified street cars with high hp, it's normal to find 4 cylinder engines with more the1000hp here.
Donut Media made a nice episode about our scene quite a time ago, If you think I'm bullshinting you can check it out on their channel.
I said it before and I'll say it again. A modded 90s car with 280HP is plenty enough to have a blast to have some fun on the Nürburgring. Oldskool fun!!
Had my fiat coupe 20vt 18 years and loved it. Nice to see one on the ‘ring’
I'm italian my neighbor has one of these old 90s _FIAT_ designed by Pininfarina.
It's called the _FIAT _*_Coupé_* while the _20v turbo_ was just the best variant of the *_Coupé_*
As always the sticker was there to flex the engine to anyone that knows, like most of the italian badges on cars 😎
Now we need to get the proper track set up coupes out to Misha to try, imagine 400+Bhp coupes on coilovers etc with Misha at the wheel.
I was thinking this!
I've got a 20vt off the road . I want it back on the road again !!!! Love this vid !!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome car !!!!!!
I love these so much!
Got to ride in one once many years ago and ever since I've been loving these, the guy drove it like he stole it, I dont think he had a license... something I found out later...
Maniac... but damn, the car behaved like a gokart, I was hooked!
I only noticed the third person at the end of the video more exactly I saw an arm sticking out of the back of the owner's head, surprising 😁
That car sounds lovely, you guys looked like you had a great time and so good to see A Fiat Coupe especially at the ring. Great video!
Chris Bangle actually made a decent, timeless design with the Fiat Coupe.
Are you shure about that? It says "Pininfarina" on the outside and was Chris their chief designer in the 80's when this car came up?
@@ms-jl6dlExternal design by Chris Bangle, internal design and overall construction by Pininfarina.
The e46 m3 aint timeless?
@@eustahijelifetips Bangle only had design input to the E46 saloon/sedan, he never worked on the coupe, convertible or wagon (Erik Goplen was the designer on those).
This is the only car he designed himself! At BMW he was a manager.
great work Misha. I actually just bought a 20V Turbo from '97, what a thrill to drive! oldskool fun. Thanks for the content!
C'moooon I waited for a 20vt coupe for such a long timeeee :D
That's a really cool car, undoubtedly! The 5-cyl sings beautifully, too!
Nostalgic! I remember that Fiat. It was my go-to in Gran Turismo 3 almost 2 decades back. You won't see cars like this in person back in the US. You all are lucky to see one of these in person!
It first appeared in GT2.
Still looks (and sounds) stunning after all these years!
I remember that car from a magazine table, because it was only FWD car with max speed of 250kph
Legend has it that Boris still has his foot flat waiting on boost ...
Because i owned an 146 twin spark Alfa i know how lovely this car is.. great feedback and feeling from the car!now a focus i have is "dull compared with Alfa.. keep up Misha
Never expected you to get to drive one of those! I had a yellow 16VT from 2007 till about 2014. It was my first car and I had lots of fun with it.
At one point I bought a second one, just as a parts car, to keep mine on the road. Until there was so much rust and the repair cost double what I paid for the car. It went to someone who used to motor in their Alfa GTV and the chassis got crushed...
A friend owned one, what a car !!
Awesome sound, and very quick car !👌
I love that era of cars.
Found myself watching all of your videos recently.
Keep up the good work!
We love 90's cars. Well done.
There's something about a 5-cyl turbo engine. It just makes one of the most glorious engine notes.
I am impressed with how quiet it seems to be.
Yes I noticed that too. Too quiet :)
Not at all too quiet.
They could talk to each other without shouting, and that engine still sounds good from the engine and the back dispite the turbo@@rolkabolka
A lot of sound doesn't equal good sound
@@theroadblog2858yea, if that civic at 3am sounds loud doesn't mean it sounds good
Fun lap, insane traffic and early turbo tech lag. :-)
Tricky combination especially when the boost comes on strong like my old Volvo.
Loved the lap!
fastest car i entered, 400+hp... that 5 cyl is unique, what a beast
Lowered really changes the look of the car and for the better! By a lot! Engine sounds wonderful too! What a great car!
I own a Limited Edition for 20 years. I restored 3 years ago....and I am happy!!!!!!!!!!!
Fiat Coupe 20V Turbo was incredible when it was released. It was the fastest FWD car at that time and also the fastest car in his class (even faster than famous Opel Calibra 2.OT).
The Fiat 20v Turbo is in my heart ❤️😍🇮🇹😎🤘🏻
In that time that was the cheapest way to drive real 250 km/h!!! In Germany it was 46000 DM a bargain!
There are currently 13 for sale on the Autotrader starting at £2850 going upto £9995. Worth a punt 👍👍
Yeah, thinking about getting one as my 2nd car
pov and pedals cameras ARE JUST....................STUNNING. BRAVO DUDE 👍
Is it just me or is there something wrong with the audio in the beginning of the video?
true
Yea it’s overlapping with multiple voices thought I was tripping out lmao
I was going to say who's doing all that talking in the background?!
It's just you
Reset my tv twice when all I had to do was read this comment 😂
We don't have this car with 5 cyl in Brazil, but we have the fiat marea, this engine are gorgeus, incredible and insane, original are svcks, but with FuelTech only, you fix every problems of this engine.
Had a dark green one back in 2000, induction noise was insane and went like stink!
What a beautiful, timeless, design
i always was a fan of the little turbo coupe. that pineferina styling, that peppy little engine. it's just a fun and cool little car!
What a joy this video is. Thank you Misha.
Legendary "Ferrari for poor peoples" 😂😂😂❤❤❤ Like it
Great Car, Great Guys!!! Thanks for driving all these "exotic" cars! Maybe one day I'll come around with my Barchetta
Finallyyy!!! A Fiat Coupé on the list. Watched with excited.
Brave brave man 😅😅😅 Glad to see the coupes representing 💪 Great fan of them
The way matey said 'fookin 'ell' at the first corner, you can tell he's a proper northern lad 😂
We were braking much earlier, hence the brown pants moment for me when misha didn’t brake 😬
@@jamiemead3082mate, you're a legend for replying back! What an experience for you...top lad! 👍
5 cilinders are always amazing
One of the coolest looking cars ever. I haven't seen one in the wild since I was young
Dude I was literally wondered about the possibility of this yesterday and this dropped today wow !
Had a Sprint Blue one years ago. Great fun and lovely engine. 3rd gear was epic.
thats a pretty cramped engine bay :O im pretty sure mechanics love to work on that thing!
I used to have one is ridiculous
it's not that bad but yeah it's not your basic do the cambelt on the parking lot job
Three man up too!! I didn’t realise at first, very impressive 👏 I was under the impression these handled poorly until this video
Love what you do Misha. So much. Watched the very deep interview you gave. What a guy. Hope I meet you someday for a chat!
A friend of mine had couple of these very fast cars! Great car you have here 👌🏽 great driving by misha as normal 👌🏽
That’s why this channel almost 1M subs. For a car guy it’s really interesting to see all type of cars and the feelings they transpire, freal
I LOVE THE 20VT
Love it when the owner has such a reaction to their motor being ragged around the ring! Fiat Coupe is a modern classic?
early, good video btw, i love the fiat 20v turbo, my uncle have one and it was a beast!
The audio at the start reminded me of the CAUSE AND EFFECT episode in star trek tng and at that point i knew the end would work out for you ❤❤❤❤❤
underrated car
Weird audio overlap around the 1:55 mark? Or is it just me?
I also heard it
Audio track from Adrian's camera got left in the final edit?
9 minutes BTG with yellow, heavy traffic and 3 people onboard is really good for a 25 year old "shitbox" 😉 , well done!
True, I did 8.36 in 2010, didn’t even know the track 😅
Great car - simple reason.
It's crazy, I remember seeing a lot of the cars you review on Gran Turismo and never seeing the cars irl being in the US.
What a trip
There are two in las vegas that i've seen at cars and coffee shows.
The older I get the better the early 2000s cars look
It's an early 90s car tho ;)
@@spavatch It was built from 1994 until 2000, so I wasn't far off. Great looking car anyways.
almost all newer cars (especially ''suvs'') look ugly AF and look like its one factory making them. Its a mega decadence period in the car designing/styling...
Of all the cars I've owned my 20VT Coupe is probably my favourite, the sound, the looks and just enough torque steer to make it fun but not terrifying (with new suspension arms at least, when worn they were awful).
Same here! Also silver 20VT. I added the lower OMP brace (Alfa 155) - zero torquesteer!!
@@pereldh5741 The other thing that pleased me was fuel consumption, I used mine for a 60 mile round trip every working day for many years and provided I didn't drive it hard it would return around 30mpg which was pretty exceptional for the performance at that time. The later 6 speed cars were supposed to be even better.
@@ferrumignis Exactly! My current Z4M Coupe has similar speed/power but consumes almost twice! 6-speeder was frugal on long motorway trips yes
I almost bought one
the 5 cylinder sound is amazing
feels like a rally car
also 280hp doesn't sound like much because it weighs like under 1200kg and it's very torquey
so for a cheap old car it pulls hard honestly
Plus it is originally fitted with a diff. So it can put the power down as well.
weight is 1320Kg buddy, 280bhp nowadays is abit underpowered but with some mods 350 - 380 can be ran on a stock engine reliable, 440bhp has been seen on a stock engine but is a ticking time bomb
@@adamknight9535depends. 280 is plenty enough for the Nordschleife. But to be honest, this didnt look like 280
@@enfantterrible4868it didn't look like 280 to me either but there were 3 people in the car, plus long gearing. Iirc these run out of puff high up the revs but this one does not appear to do that, so probably it is 280 ish 👍
The boost is set to taper off at higher revs so that I don't melt it 😅
I bought one of these new in 1997. Within 10K miles the engine self-destructed, broken timing belt. It was replaced under warranty.
Great vid…YT didn’t send it to my fed sadly as I love Misha and been following years and obvs owning two coupes (Le and a Plus) I’m a tad biased on how great they are! Come on!!✊✊✊🤣✌️✌️
Misha i have to say this intro was something out a game ( the car intro )
A good handshake !
Great video, and great car that´s why i have 2, a 97 20VT and 2000 20VT Plus :)
congrats on 1 mil!!
My neighbour has one in the same color
They are fast when you tune them. I need to make a video about it some day
Nice Video Misha
impressive skills man.....RESPECT. 😉 i love the coupé fiat and i wish having a red one soon. now i m driving the MEGANE 3 RS TROPHY.....................A FRENCH BEAST. hey....i m french by the way.🙂
What a great old car, and a credit to the owner. There will have been some very confused owners of late model go-fast Euro's wondering why a 25 year old Fiat was hanging with them!
3:22 - There are two on sale online here in Portugal, Misha, both in the €20.000 bracket: a black one from 1996 with 116.000 kms and a yellow one from 1997 with 108.500 kms. Not far from the numbers you said.
Just searched for it and found a couple of (useable, not crashed or totally rusted ones) 20V Turbos for around 10k. Pretty much the same as my Corrado VR6, same car type from the same era, would go for.
seems as fast as a 1000 hp skyline gtr
I wish
as fast as audi R8 atleast lol
2:01 starting there like a solid 10 seconds with so many conversations absolutely melted my brain lmao
