This video represents some of the most common dangerous situations at the Nürburgring, like:
- Standing at dangerous places on track
- Overtaking on the wrong side (during TF)
- Ignoring yellow flags
- Debris on track
Keep in mind that it is illegal to overtake on the right during Touristenfahrten.
There is no trophy at the end of a TF lap, so there is no need for laprecord attemps.
Always be aware about other (slower or less experienced) drivers around you. (Bikers, check your mirrors too!)
If your car breaks down or if you crash, make sure to get behind the safety barrier as soon as possible.
If it is not safe to get out of the car, stay in the car until the marshalls arrive.

@@brahfamili1360 Dude you talk real shit, the ONLY way to legally race in the UK is with a full race licence and a fully scrutineered race car. You can pay to go on a track day but racing is strictly banned. All cars must pass noise tests and everyone must wear a helmet. Unlike nurburgring as on tourist days it is considered a road NOT a track. Keeping up with a car is not exactly racing though you may think it is. However you go diving up the inside and you will be sent home real quick ( i have seen it many times) There is no such thing as tourist day on UK tracks especially when they are only about 1.5 miles long it would be rather pointless. Huge difference between nurburgring and any other tracks on the planet it's a one of a kind

A lot of these clips show how amazing the little anti-roll linkages fitted to the wheels of modern cars are. Watch a vid of nurburgring crashes from the 80s, 70s, or earlier - cars losing control at the same places, at the same speeds, but back then they just rolled over and over (often leading to the driver leaving the Ring in a casket) instead of just understeering and skidding into the armco.

@@WonderfulGermany Kann man so nicht sagen. Die Touristenfahrten sind keine Rennen, es gilt dort auch die StVO. Der Versicherungsschutz kann daher nicht einfach verweigert werden. Im Kleingedruckten sind auch zumeist nur "behördlich genehmigte Kraftfahrzeug-Rennen, bei denen es auf die Erzielung einer Höchstgeschwindigkeit ankommt" (inkl. Übungsfahrten dafür) ausgenommen. Vorher mit dem Versicherer reden ist auf jeden Fall hilfreich.

@Rylee :3 The Touristenfahrten are made specifically so that normal citizens can also drive on the track on certain days. The Nordschleife even counts as a "normal" road during those rides which is why many traffic laws are still in place there, like overtaking only on the left. Even insurance companies specify those things.
The problem isn't their lack of skill itself, the problem is their lack of skill combined with their stupidity. They want to be fast and drive dangerously even when there are normal cars around.

That's a classic case of target fixation. Driver wasn't paying attention to the yellow flag and only noticed the guy waving at the last second. Knew something was up and in panic mode...you go where you see and that's usually where you don't want to go.

The biker was aware of his surroundings as far as I can tell and only jumped over the fence when he felt it safe, the other guy is a fool, they can see him just fine if he was behind the fence but he preferred being on the track .

I saw a pro driver at Brands Hatch doing the Formula Palmer passenger races cut the corner after the hairpin - with a passenger - at full speed! - while other people were driving around slowly learning the track. Welcome to motorsports
The rules are very clear and very strict. This is a tourist day. No racing, No lap record attempts. Keep right unless overtaking. Drive with some caution (i.e, don't go batshit crazy). Trouble is a few drivers and riders often have little self control. The"red mist" descends and their brains migrate to their balls (sorry ladies). If stupid behavior is recorded and reported, then drivers and riders can be fined or banned for varying durations. The course management are catering for a market and it is a highly profitable business. They are bound by German law to minimise risk as far as a high speed tourist course can. However, they cannot control all stupid behavior so they just do their best to keep the risks within a manageable level. Go to the Nurburgring site and look at all the regulations, rules and strategies. The other option is to ban these tourist drives and that would be a shame for the 95% or so of drivers and riders who drive or ride within their limits. Bike racing ceased on the ring over 25 years ago because of the high fatality rates as bikes became quicker and quicker. IMO quick laps (sub 8 min BTG) should only be done in very light traffic times. I am still surprised the German Government still allows this but I guess it's because they make a shitload of money from it.
