- The forested village of Polonezkoy (“village of the Poles”) offers a slice of rural Europe on the hills of Istanbul’s Anatolian shore.
On this last stop adventure to Polonezkoy, Beykoz I tasted Polish delicacies (some with a surprising Turkish twist) from mushroom pierogi, sweet cherry kluski to “Polish baklava,” chatted with the village headman on a farm, and ended the day attending a unique church service, one of the traditions this Christian minority community is keeping alive.
Come along to experience countryside charm, Polish style.
