I was supposed to go to Fort Sill in May but i had an injury. I was cleared by MEPS a few months later so now im shipping out next month and Im nervous. This video helped take some of the nervousness away.
Will I have access to my stuff in my regular bag once I get to basic training after reception or is everything I bring in a small bag to reception the only thing I’ll be able to have the whole 10 weeks?
I leave for fort Leonard wood on March 14 I’m super nervous! Do they make you take a pee test? Also could you get whatever you needed from the PX or did they limit you on what you could buy?
You will do a urinalysis again ( like you did during your meps physical ). Once you get to reception they will do bloodwork. They are going to give you a pay card, and if you have your own money you can spend it as well.

Had high blood pressure at meps had to go get 2 separate reading for from primary care doctor for meps to approve me I finally swore in today if it’s high at reception do they send you home

honestly after meps I don't remember getting my blood pressure checked again ( not even for blood draw ).
Did you have to check-in your bag at the airports.

No they do not
Do you get drug tested at reception? My recruiter told me they don’t drug test until after 2 to 3 weeks
They can drug Test you at any time

I Got A Tattoo Two Months Ago, Is That Going Effect Me When I Get To Reception/MEPS? I Leave In Three Weeks For BCT.
If they don’t know about it , or if it looks new ( still scabbing) it might . I would let your recruiter no so you don’t have any issues .

No , the only thing physical about reception is walking to the defac .

I would bring the same documentation you bought to MEPS.
So on Sundays we can call our families ? Is it every Sundays ? Or once a month on a Sunday ?
