1) If someone qualifies for a medical waiver for a shoulder/back/ knee injury, what are they exempt from, if enlisted? Is one exempt from*Boot camp/ basic training?*Any/all running/ swimming? 2) If enlisted with a waiver, what roles/jobs can they serve in as a civilian? Do they get shipped out or serve in their state where they were recruited? 3) Which branch would most likely enlist someone with a medical waiver, btwn the Navy, Air Force, and Marines?
These are all questions you can ask any recruiter. I will tell you that some injuries disqualify you from joining ( it would depend on how severe ) . If you can't do basic training than you basically can't train to become a solider and you are likely to be sent home even if you do get through MEPS with severe injuries.

@@jdjones0706You cannot be over 145 pounds at 5’ 1”. I’m currently the same height and at 135 pounds. I had to drop from 170. Now you can get in if your body fat percentage is 36% or less. However, being at 170 pounds would mean that you would most likely be over that limit. My best suggestion is to check your weight and body fat percentage before going so you know where you stand
Honestly it’s hard to fail … they will probably make you do some variation of it ( I remember the doctor saying a lot of people do it wrong)… just practice at home you will be fine

Yes they can . If you went to the doctor and didn’t get any diagnosis or prescriptions you don’t have anything to worry about . They can check your pharmacy records . If you or let’s say your parents were service members and you went to one of their doctors… they will definitely see that information.

@@Renarte. I scored a 71…. Good luck on your test! I would say if you’re actively “studying” you’ll def pass with a good score… I studied for like 1-2 days and it was mostly on CZcams. I honestly didn’t even realize there would be questions that weren’t on any practice tests so if you need help on those lmk!
I’m just curious, if the only way to get to MEPS in my state is to get on a plane and fly there, according to my recruiter, if I end up being at the back of the line and they stop swearing people in for the day what should I do? Because I wouldn’t have the option of coming back the next day since we would be flying home that same night.
I mean, it is perfectly possible I’m just overthinking things. I will see if my recruiter has any info regarding how long they stay open to have people swear in at our MEPS office. Thank you for your video!!
Hello Haylee you definitely would have to ask your recruiter, it sounds like it just may be a longer process if you would need to come back for any reason. BUT They usually are pretty good with communicating within the building (letting everyone know which stage of the process you are in ).
