It’s so odd to me that there’s just random small differences like this. Like a creeper exploding and leaving a lingering potion is such an oddly specific feature to be confined to one version.
Ikr I’ve never seen or heard of a lot of features he went over in this video. Like dying shulkers
Why can’t Minecraft just be Minecraft. That would end so many arguments and debates on the internet. But hey, bedrock is getting spectator mode at least. That makes them a bit more similar.
@@luckylittlelemondrop1035 idot
Probably because to different type of coding language and people making it
It's an entirely different game programmed in an entirely different language. It's more impressive how similar they are really
On bedrock, similar to pulling mobs out of boats, you can YEET skeletons off of spiders with a fishing rod to decrease the threat
im super tempted to delete this
Wow thanks
That was hilariously unknown to me.
Good point tho almost every Minecraft veteran would say that spider jocky was one of the worst mobs so
I know it's funny i once tried it and i litterally cracked
@Don't read profile photo ok
On Bedrock, if you dye a sheep's wool, it will keep that color after it's sheared. In Java sheared sheep's stubble is always white, so you can't tell what color sheep you actually have until the wool grows back. That and the potion cauldrons are the two Bedrock features I miss most on Java :D
nice amount of likes
The sheep thing is one of the ways I found out I was playing on bedrock because I didn’t know there was two versions for awhile
Potion of decay is also bedrock exclusive ....being able to mimic a fraction of the withers power is cool specially decay arrows.
The potion cauldorns would be so cool for building.
Bedrock is better
5:03 the particles 💀☠ cool video dude!!!
I know two more differences.
1) Elder guardians instantly apply and refresh the effect if you drink milk within proximity.
2) The mining fatigue animation is different in bedrock. It performs a more alive animation, instead of a static flow in and out of the screen. Also, depending on whether you are underwater or above water, the animation also produces the glitch with the glass in Armor stand.
You can also light nether portals with the fore aspect book, I got my pb speedrun using a book I had found in a pillager outpost to light my portal(1:30.32 is my time if u weee interested)
I think on bedrock edition the mining fatigue animation is an actual entity, so other players can see when it’s applied to you
@@snowpeagaming9116 nope, it copies the entity from the mob i think

2. Be able to hold more items in offhand

Since 1.20, the bedrock boat no longer needs a shovel to be crafted.
2:40 Bonemeal is actually a balance change due to the fact that sugarcane grows much slower on Bedrock
It doesn’t necessarily matter because in bedrock, you can use the zero-tick kelp method which instantly generates kelp. That kelp funnels into composters and generates bone meal. That bone meal grows the sugarcane, making an op sugarcane farm! I know it got patched, but a youtuber called Mod Stop found a workaround!
That doesnt really balance considering with one bonemeal it will grow instantly and you can make zero tick sugarcane farms on newer versions
@@tenxgs exactly!
@@tenxgs Zero tick farms are a bug and the methods to make them are being patched, however since the intended farms are much slower than their Java counterparts, bonemeal was introduced as a way to remedy that.

You missed a couple key features that not many know about. For instance, if you use a locator map in bedrock you can see all players on it, sometimes their skin face and current armor, and if they are in the nether their indicator turns red and you can still see where they are in relation to the overworld.

And then I found out that you could put a music disc in a hopper and let it flow into a Music box. Then just by using a command block I could activate a Redstone signal to turn the hopper on and off to change the music when it ended.
Also if you have a hopper under the music box, it will remove the disk that was just played, and then play the next disc if the other hopper is attached.

I think the most difficult thing with trying to make the versions the same is picking which version has the better take on a feature, such as quasi-connectivity.
Personally I hope they stick with the bedrock version of redstone. It’s still buggy, but that’s mostly with consistency issues rather than mechanical bugs with actual machines, like pistons.

The Java edition of Minecraft is a lot harder to optimize than the Bedrock edition because of the Java programming language being garbage collected (and being a JIT/interpreted lang)
Oh but I forgot to mention why exactly you’ll not find Java edition on macOS or iOS or iPadOS: Java is a just-in-time compiled language that generates its instructions when the program is run. Apple does not allow software that has this behavior.
