For the trident height difference, I believe the reason is because the water has physics. The water has more drag on the player, so it cuts a bunch of momentum. That's why you want a shallow pool, to minimize the amount of drag the water has on you.
true
this is correct
@Oye Hoye lemme test it
@Oye Hoye no it doesnt and also idk how S.T.T got a propultion to y=102, like there will be some height to the place he is standing but, the max propultion I got with the trident was around 40 blocks.
thats what I was about to comment
8:57 I hate to be the one to say this, but he called the gray pixels on the saddle the spur, but it is actually the stirrup.
Number 10 (floating text) is actually done to prevent z-fighting, which is when two textures overlap and you get some pretty jarring artifacts. I think Iron Bars still have this issue on their bottom texture when placed on top of another block. (Fun fact: laos do this too with their player indicator thingies and players on 2b2t figured out how to make it stick out miltiple blocks)
Yes! Ahh 2b2t, I bet they managed to weaponise it too🤣
The fact that this guy keeps finding more new facts is just amazing and kinda unbelievable

There is actually a use of putting beacons on beacons because you can this to make a dirt beacon by covering your iron pyramid with it then put another beacon on top.

That made no sense

So, with the iron door having a handle as a placed object but not as an item, I feel like it wasn’t always that way. I started playing Minecraft back in Beta 1.4, and I’m pretty sure the placed iron door didn’t have a handle then. I could be wrong though.
I vaguely remember trying to replace the wooden door on my first house with an iron door when I had no idea what I was doing, and getting frustrated because I couldn’t figure out how to make it open.
once heard iron door could be opened with a dimond as like a key when i was playing an outdated verson
Same! I thought the iron door was somehow broken so I broke it and changed it back to wooden :P
very late reply but you're correct! the first textures for the iron door lacked the handle
Another way to move villagers is to use a workstation block. Place it some distance away and the villager will move toward it. Just remove it at place it further along the path you want the villager to move and you can thus move the villager anywhere you want to. (Seen on a few of the Hermitcraft season 9 videos)
and even another is to use carrot (not sure about other plants they can plant)
11:07 I was eating and a noodle came out my nose because that part got me so hard 😂😂🤣

Everyone who watched the video: Sure!
Everyone who watched the video: See, the complexity of the poppy is just excellent-
With the sign, the text floats above the signs texture so it doesn't glitch up with a trait called Z clipping, where the two textures osculate and fight in the computing for which is actually on top.
The reason the sign has the text slightly offset is to prevent something known as Z-Fighting. Basically, if you have two objects inside each other, any camera movement at all will cause them to flash, and even when stationary, you'll see some of one texture and one of the other. This happens due to your GPU not knowing what object to render on top of the other, and this isn't just a Minecraft thing.
Man I thought you was talkin about Dragon Ball Z when you said "Z-Fighting"
@@4rdency That’s the first thing I thought of too tbh!
As a game development student, I relate to this.
i was going to say that until i saw this comment lol
There are ways to combat this, I just don't think they've taken the time to mess with it as it's very unnoticeable. But I also don't know what game engine they used to make it, so I don't know if it's a supported fix either. But ye, youre right, and it's annoying to work with

10:48 The water source at your feet lets you use Riptide so all the water block above does is cause greater drag.
That's what I said
which means
if we put water in a bottom half slab,
we go higher?
@@theultimatejoyofgaming7559 Potentially, the faster we go the more drag we will create (water causes more drag than air), however, because the water will be a factor in a such a short period of the journey, I believe we will go higher as I think the smaller 'Water drag time,' will begin to have greater (positive) effect (shorter time in water) than the (negative) effect of the higher speed increasing the drag more, lowering the speed faster (for the amount of water used) as the water block gets smaller. However, I do believe there will be a visible cap as we test the last few water pixels (flowing water).
Go try it out mate! Would love to actually know!

Georgenotfound :- yes i can confirm that
@Projit you dont have any
@@green4091 that's the joke genius
10:46 Allow me to explain this to you. first off, you are starting at a lower point. Then you need to consider the drag caused by the water. Because a player is 2 blocks high, if you start with a 1 block depth you are already above water level with half of the character. This means that there is only a slight amount of drag because you do not have to pierce through the top layer of the water. If you are two blocks deep, you have to fight the water current to be able to start going up. When you think about it, you will realise that this lowers the amout of force that is propelling you forwards.
Noooooooooooooooooo😵💡
i was like "wow minecrafts water physics are so detailed!" but then i realized thats just the basic physics that make it feel like water lol

So they get born with clothes on?
The fact that this guy never clickbaits is amazing
the reason the iron door doesn't have a handle is because when it was first put into the game it didnt have a handle. so when mojang retextured almost every thing in the game the iron door item stayed the same but the iron door block got a useless handle.

i think i know why riptide goes less higher in deeper waters its because when your flying up the 2th water block slows you down so you go less higher
The reason Bedrocks Render distance is so high is because it is based on your RAM, while java uses your CPU. So Bedrock can get more and better render disntance.

Why does everybody hate on the furnace minecart?
I love it, it's such a useful thing if you want to move villagers by minecart and dont have alot of gold for powered rails.
Boat in minecart can carry 2 villagers and has infinite momentum, making it 3x better than a furnace minecart. Now if they fixed trains then we'd be talking
Same
I have a world with create mod and using furnace minecarts you can make mining machines which are powered by coal
I use it for moving villagers too, dunno why they hate it, it takes one coal to move a villager where it would take a stack of gold and red stone power sources. If it’s a one-time use track, it’s perfect to push things along. If it’s a permanent track then definitely use redstone and gold. But one-time use tracks are amazing with it. And here’s its advantage over boats: it can actually go up tiny hills and fit in smaller spaces, and you don’t have to row it around.
Make a rail duper lol, super easy and extremely efficient
Something else that I cant unsee: When I first saw the horse health bar, it looked like some sort of animal face to me, and now its hard for me to see the saddle in it
I believe the 1 block vs. 2 block riptide oddity is maybe the extra block of water slowing down your launch. In programming, developers were most likely more worried about making sure that riptide works whenever you touch water than double water block launches, so they coded that 1 block of water is enough to let you use riptide. Therefore, an additional block of water would do nothing but slow you down.
Fun Fact: The book on the librarians head is Mending, as the villager is hiding it because it always seems as if the game doesn’t want you to get it.
3:00 yoo the iron golem got 2 eyebrows les goooo
love how you put the squidward scream at 11:06
10:56 it might be the extra drag you have to go through in the deeper one, the animation might start in the bottom of the character
7:08 That is the villager’s break time.
0:10 Im on pc.....
I think my monitor broke.

For the furnace minecart, you can just put it behind and it should work well. I've done it before and it makes it so you don't need as many powered rails/any at all.
Do you work at Mojang?
Yes I do
that fireball transition was hella smooth😮

5:46 A nice hit of nostalgia
The best use of Furnace Minecarts is moving Mobs around a long distance. Just pop them in their own cart and have a Furnace cart push them. They will get pushed up hills and everything with no effort. No need for Powered Rails at all!
11:06 BRO GOT YEETED
THE HORSE HEARTS LOOK LIKE LITTLE CUTE FOXES
The riptide being Stronger in shallow pools is because when you use riptide straight up, it launches you a set number of blocks from where you're standing, hence why the deeper pool gives a lesser boost.
when the video started*
me:oh SH***************
my pc:oh no
me:yeah i got it but at when cost
but the shallow water launches you multiple blocks higher not just one block higher
Him at 7:02 serious detication(don't know how to write that word)
Me: aye! That's a advancement.
I want to know why boats and leads aren't more common to transport villagers. With the lead attached to a boat if you reach a ledge just pillar up a bit the scaffold yourself over and poof, over edge. Bonus points for bringing scaffolding for pacing!
I play mainly skyblock though so I guess most of my paths are level but still once you get the quirks down you can even go all the way up your 150ish block stairs in like 5 minutes
8:54 I always that those were lightbulbs, and I couldn't figure out why 😅
Skip: Jungle and oak are hideous together.
Mumbo finishing building last rope bridge out of jungle and oak: I’m gonna pretend I didn’t hear that.
11:00 rising normally in deep water takes longer, so the slowness carries and screws the Trident momentum
@Projit says the brat posting the same comment as a reply thinking any of us care
Also, the iron door sprite in the hot bar has 2 hinges but when u place it down it has 3
I always thought that the pet hp bar was a fox and I am sticking with that, even if it is canonically a saddle.
3:30 I thought everyone knew that lol.
It's easy to hypothesize an explanation to the difference in the riptide effect: water is probably slowing you down a little, so when you travel one more block in water, you are being slowed for one block more.
Me: turns my tablet upside down trying to subscribe
My tablet: turns upright
Me: WELL F-
8:28 Why would anyone do such a thing. Rekrap: me me me! New video idea!
Hold on.
I may be stupid, but if you can breed trader llamas, does that mean infinite leads?
No. The leads drop bcz the Trader is disconnected from the Llamas. Only infinite leather.
@@lolxdrandomman69 oh, well. At least they're a good collector's item.
The two people who put a whole lot of effort into their work: Mojang and Skip
10:53 Not that hard to think of really: if you use riptide from a deeper pool, you have to travel through more water to leave it before you're freed and continue with the riptide momentum. You're in the water longer, and thus have the water's increased velocity reduction for a little bit longer than in the shallow pool, so it cuts more of your speed off.
Another point for riptide: its super chaotic if you use commands to make it > level 3. Level 255 can send you thousands of blocks into the sky!
*"There's A lot to do with your vegan beam"*
I remember way back in the early days of Minecraft pocket edition, there was a glitch or bug where it only took 6 diamonds to make a block, and turning that block back into diamonds gave 9.
Ahh yes same for me!
imagine finding that on your own and feeling so cool and showing your friends all your diamonds
6:54 I used this few times for villages farm o deal farm
10:30 a furnace mine cart can ride on itself if you put some kind of burning materiel in it, so you can also put a minecart in front of the furnace mine art and it works I think
