I don't understand how after so many tries, he doesn't notice that whenever maliketh hits you with the red flame you start burning for a while
I'm also pretty sure he killed it without noticing that it also lowers your maximum hp
He did notice it lowered his max hp. He even always rested at the site of grace after dying to the second phase, because an annoying bug makes you not recover the hp you lost because of the boss'ability even after you die

@@AbysmalRandomn3ss so whats the problem , game gives you that instruments. The game also is punitive at some moments, so your just ridiculous if you dont use all the resources you have. And i say that as one that never use ashes that basically broke fights.
@@Eddrix90 honestly its more fun to play the game with an average build then to steamroll the game with 0 skill. its also more satisfying and relatable to see a streamer struggle a lot on a boss u found difficult compared to other streamers using op builds and 1st trying every hard boss in the game

Honestly the entire game is harder for collosal weapon users since bosses are much more aggressive and agile

Honestly this man is playing on the hardest difficulty, he doesnt explore the game, and doesnt change his builds to counter bosses... like he has only 10 +6 flasks at this point of the game. But that's xqc for you LUL.
There is no difficulty in Elden ring. He needs to explore to even get to the boss. He can't change a build mid fight or after unless he re specs. and around 13 flasks is what you should have at this point in the game.
@@Sandstorm-tp2po he skipped entire sections of the map, he didnt killed Rykard nor Malenia, so he clearly didnt explored enough, i know theres no difficulty, what im saying is that he played on the hard difficulty because of the way he plays the game. And you can adapt your build to bosses between tries when you start to see their patterns, changing equipment, skills etc, you dont need to respec for that, he used the same build until the last boss. 10 flasks is fine, but they should be at least +9
@@samuki1992 I can respect that playstyle. If he wins, I applaud him. And I did when he beat EB despite being a baby all the time. However, its is definitely not the game's fault when he dies.
@@hedition9346 yeah, i respect it too, thats why i said is like he's playing at a higher difficulty than the players who fully explore the game map and mechanics, like, when i got to Maliketh i beat him in 3 or 4 tries, because i was much stronger than he was at this point of the game.
@@samuki1992 he didn't kill rykard and Melania prior to the Maliketh fight? Melina is end game and rykard is optional. Every class has their pros and cons. Fighting Maliketh in melee or magic or something is always gonna be hard. He picked the same build because it worked for the whole game.

I've spent my time watching clips of players like him, Asmongold, etc. Most of the high-popularity gaming figureheads are usually proportionately devoid of general skill in relation to their popularity. The biggest ones are always really bad at gaming.,
@@BaldCape9 asmongold has changed a lot over the course of his from games playthroughs. Him on dark souls was pure cringe, but in elden rong he always laughs and enjoys himself when getting smoked.
@@ponglenis9273 Exactly, since he always in DS3 despite everyone telling him to not Fat roll (for his own good obviously, not handicapping or something like that, and it was not an challenge or something like that he stated clearly or something), he ignored everyone and played the entire game like that, although he won by doing the most boring way, overleveling waaaay to hard and using OP weapons in the same matter, at least Nameless King kicked his ass.

He played that last attempt super well. He was patient, reacted appropriately to each attack to the best of his abilities, didn’t get greedy and try to do a bunch of attacks in his punish windows, and waited for Maliketh to attack first. Very well played

That’s part of the challenge and seeing yourself grow and get stronger. *THIS* is why these games are so rewarding. The feeling when you grow and beat something you absolutely COULD NOT before.
Then there’s Asmon overlevelling with 70 vigor and *solely* doing a jump attack that does 15% of the bosses health. 6-8 jump attacks and it’s gg lol.
Talk about cheating yourself out of some amazing experiences and life long memories.

the only boss i thought was harder in any souls game was midir. i still haven't beat midir. i probs could've eventually but his giant aoe attacks were too spooky so i just didn't care about beating him after like 50 or more tries. melee only btw
Dont wanna sound like that guy but midir is actually very easy if you just stay near his head, he wont do any of his crazy ranged attacks if you stay close

I found Sister Friede way harder than Maliketh. Even the Twin Demons I found harder, and definitely Malenia.
So according to XQC an AOE attack doing AOE damage to you when you are in the AOE, is broken. Try not being in the AOE xD.

I beat him after exactly 100 times
I struggled more with Maliketh than Malenia, Mohg, or any other boss
@@ruski77 I didn't struggle with him at all. Died a few times, but that's it. Thought Malenia was way harder.
I find Maliketh the most fun to fight, his attacks are unforgivable but fair, Plus lots of opportunities to beat him but little time window, The trick here is to learn how to time your attacks and how to dodge his attacks, then go out and give him a fight!
It took me 3h and 34min to beat him he is sooooo full of bs
On my ps4 pro the fps never dropped like that, the game go smooth as hell
he could've made it easier for himself by two-handing his dual greatswords...
i'm actually really love this boss. it just a gimmick fight that need to get close to him all the time, otherwise he would spam destined death non stop, it's still dodgable but very hard. i eventually learned the gimmick and the whole fight he didn't use even once destined death.

I absolutely despise it when streamer says something is undodgable. There are two ways to dodge that depending on players positioning (close or far) and Maliketh telegraphs well when he is about to do it (initiated by swinging while leaning back). But generally though gotta observe, combine run/Dodge roll and positioning and it works for all bosses. Not to mention there were 5 games before this ffs
On this and all bosses i would say this does apply, but Malenia is the only one i would say it dosen't apply with Waterfowl Dance, since it requires you to be far already when she starts it (not get unlucky that she does it point blank), Disabling lock on in some moments, have either Light Roll, Vow of the Indominable, Freeze pot, shield , Quickstep/Bloodstep or something like those for the first flurry because it's almost undodgable without perfect timing and very high grasp of movement without the former options.
It's weird because it's the only boss in all DS trilogy, Sekiro and here that requires you to counter it with specific builds that dont look intended like freeze pots or zamor ice storm that stuns her out of it.
Regardless she is one of the best bosses out there, is just that attack that drags it down alot, and that video with 12 different methods of countering that attack says 60% of it's views came from using the search bar and not recommended, if that indicates something went wrong.

stripped your armor down is when you become a god. i beat both melania and malekith only after i stripped my armor down, dodge range make a lot difference in the game.
took me 3 tries to beat this boss and first try i died by rolling off the side of the entrance when i was tryna dodge the erdtree sentinel that was hittin me thru the fogwall lmao

radahn sword is actually really good. it got good dmg and decent scaling. juicer warlord was just rushing while playing elden ring lul
It is good. Good jumping damage, the normal combo is kinda slow though, the special attack does huge damage if you have poise to use it. I used it from the moment I had enough strength and int to use it, and only changed it to double dual blades at the end cause I needed more speed
Ironically, he switched to Rivers of Blood for the next fight, hated it, then switched back to these xD

@@AbysmalRandomn3ss I didn't say it can carry (it sure can, depending on the summon) but it makes the fight easier by drawing aggro which gives you time to do whatever. And it's very unlikely that you'll use the weakest summon, so your point is not valid

@@aidanmaloney7223 I totally get that man. It took me a few tries too, Maliketh was definitely one the most difficult bosses I’ve fought in Elden Ring, this streamer makes excuses though for every loss instead of blaming himself, he blames the game.
And yeah, all the bosses seem to have a variable move set….or at least it seems that way. Maliketh definitely got me good several times before I finally beat him.

Yeah frame rate has his problems, but in that case here, theres no reason to be hating on it, its not even dropping that much. I had a few problems with rolling of course, but this is manageable, I beat him on my second day, 25th attempt
