I am a retired expat living in Thailand where I enjoy riding motorcycles on a daily basis. My riding days began back in the 1970s on 2-stroke Yamaha twins and Kawasaki triples.
Your earlier videos with your Street Triple RS helped inspire me to trade in my Kawasaki for a 2024 Street Triple RS. It's the first non-Japanese bike I've ever owned. The new bike is still in the break-in period and I'm very impressed even without going near its limits yet.
I have to take it easier on the public roads here in Thailand as they tend to be unsafe due to driving habits of the locals, stray animals, etcetera. I already had an incident with the new bike when 2 dogs dashed across the road and one clipped my front wheel. Fortunately I was able to keep the bike from going down and no harm was done to the dogs, the bike, or me.
Track days are a limited option because of the distances, and bike transport would be an issue. Maybe I will be able to get to one of the few tracks here at some point if things work out.
Your roads look fantastic. Clarence Drive looks like a real dream to ride and the Franschoek pass road looks like a lot of fun too.

About my choice of the RS variant, I might have gone for the R variant instead as that would probably have been more than enough to satisfy my needs. But, even though the Street Triples are manufactured right here in Thailand, for some reason they choose not to offer the R variant for sale here. Just the RS and Moto 2 variants are sold. Not a big problem though, because even though the RS is notably more expensive, I preferred the RS color choices, and the upgraded features are nice to have.
@@rtg1018 Sounds similar to South Africa, we dont get any of the low spec models from our dealers, only RS models. Its the same for BMW, they only offer the top spec of each model. You have to request a lower spec to be shipped in if you want it. Which most people dont end up doing any way.

Funny you should ask, I actually sent him a message the other day checking how he was. Just life got busy and he moved back to JHB, family and business etc so just doesnt have time for videos and riding at the moment, but otherwise, he is fine :)
