Beautiful 😍😍😍😍😍
Nice Triumph group ride. Glad the Daytona riders ok tho. Didn’t you have a 20+ 765RS prior?
Thanks! yeah I had a 2020 about 2 years ago, sold it for the Daytona 675R and then sold that and took a break from riding for a while, now finally back on a Triumph :)
Beautiful road and scenery. Shame for the Daytona, it's a bike that tolerate no mistakes, glade your friend is ok!
Ya a pity! Thanks for watching 😎👍
RSV4 MAKES ME CREAM MORE
Nice ride. Love all the triples. The Daytona is a shame... not too much damage but will be expensive to fix... don't ask me how I know ;-)
Yeah he got away fairly lucky, unfortunate his engine casing hit the only sharp rock in the entire run off area 🙃😅 Shouldnt take too much to fix it up! Cheers
Great smooth ride man on a nice road, ride safe on the next one. Sorry for the daytona owner. Just I remember subscribing to your channel from your first 765 ride from 2 years back. Waiting for your next vid with the exhaust, what are you planning on getting?
Thanks man! Ya shame it's a pity. I saw the footage from the guy behind him and seems like he basically just came in a bit too hot and went into the gravel, then slipped out. He almost had it saved 😅 Cheers thanks for watching! 😎🏁
Ayy bro where you riding at?
Yo! This is in Cape Town, South Africa 😎🏁
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Nothing like watching rides on my home turf!🤘🏼
I recently got a blackwidow tri oval for my 17 striple RS. sounds so good with the baffle in without being obnoxious.
Jeeez! Where is this place?
Cape Town, South Africa 😎
Bro ... how fast did u get off that bike gawdamm 😂
Like a kid jumping off his BMX 🤣
How did it fall off was it when he braked?
I hit a bump and the mount fell off the front 😂
Oh lol unlucky
Ouch! It must be well made to still be working after that impact. Hope it's still serviceable.
Luckily GoPro is very strong! Still works great!
hey dark rider this is a long shot but I'm based in cape town too I wondered if you still have the mirrors lying around from your daytona 675 as I'm looking for a set thanks!
Hey man! I dont unfortanetly, i put the stock ones back on the bike when I sold it :( Sorry man! I'd suggest checking eBay, they have the best selection of Triumph parts for not too much money. Cheers!
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs awesome I'll give eBay a shot, thanks for the response and ride safe!
what a road!
Hi, may I ask how did you fix the loose mirror ?? My right hand side mirror got loose too, but i dont know how to fix it. Thanks
Hi! What I did before having them replaced was to take the mirror off the bike and lay it face down. Put a few drops of blue loctite on the ball joint and let it dry. Make sure the mirror is roughly where you want it first. Once it dries is a little bit stiffer and doesn't move around on the highway. Hope that helps! Cheers. 😎👍
Hey Dark Rider, that looks amazing where you live very jealous! With the rider modes I found I have to come completely off the throttle and probably after 10 seconds I get a confirmation to say it’s changed modes.
Thanks! Ok I'll give that a try. Kind of strange that takes Slsooo long to change. Thanks for the tips! I'll give it a go. Cheers! 😎
Just ordered a 765RS watching this makes me happy I’ve made a good choice. I think the bike will give me a lot more confidence through the twisties. Enjoyed your track session very impressive riding.
Awesome congrats! Youll really love the 765! 😎🏁
did they update the dash to a better rev counter? I only ever saw the old one that was really hard to see.
This is the 2018 model, which, in my opnion, has amuch more legible dash, compared to the later 2020+ models. I found the dash on my 2020 to be pretty annoying most of the time to be honest. The 2018 is much easier to see the information you need.
I am torn between a 2010 Daytona 675 SE with 15k miles for 7,5k USD, and a Brandnew Daytona 660 for 11k.
Kind of depends what kind of riding you do. The 675SE is very much a pure Daytona and track weapon, razor handling and sweet, powerful motor with sharp brakes and good suspension. the 660 "Daytona" is more of a Trident with some different fairings on it. Not nearly as sport or as fast as the real Daytona. The 660, as far as I know, has around 85hp and the Daytona is around 128hp. You might be able to find a later model Daytona R with the Ohlins, 2013-2016 or so for not much more than the SE. But if you are able to spend $11k then maybe look at a Street Triple R or RS as well.
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Thanks for the detailed answer, I'm going to testride the Triples then too.
You certainly held your own against some litre bikes, nice work. Great to hear your thoughts and observations. Cheers.
Thanks very much! 😎🏁
Nice one, that was fun to watch. I’ve never done a track day tempting as it is. I ride an R NineT which is my dream bike and I fear the minute I hit the track I’ll want something more track oriented and immediately ruin my love affair 🙃
Haha ya I've actually seen a few R9Ts on track and they rip! Really fun. Bike and pretty good on the track, but the suspension might be a bit of a let down. 😅 Thanks for watching!
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs would be my first choice of upgrade indeed. The rear shock especially is junk. I’ll keep to the mountain passes for the time being 😉
Great watch 👍 How does that compare to the Daytona 675 ? On paper about the same BHP as the street 765 . I’ve taken super duke on track was ok good fun definitely not a track bike . Street triple 675R was good my Daytona 675 R (sold that now) was very good same nimble as street but the extra top end and I don’t acting hands or arm pump on the sports bike . Which I always do with none clip one .
I feel like the Daytona was much better on track, obviously, but it was less demanding and faaar less fatiguing than the street triple. Being exposed to all the wind blast really takes it out if you. The Daytona was easier to go fast on right away whereas I'll need to work my way to a good time on the street triple over a few track days.
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs agreed effortless to go fast but ton the other hand he Daytona isn't a good road bike in my option . good track cam . in the UK we not allowed to have a camera on your body or helmet only attached to the bike .
Good stuff. Interesting to hear about the 765 being harder to ride, I guess I've had similar experiences testing supersports, they're too aggressive for my liking. I'm hoping the S1000R feels good on track, the 890R and 1200 RS felt okay but each had its quirts, neither felt as enjoyable as the XR to be truthful.
Yeah I think the KTM being more of a street bike and just overall more plush on its initial stroke really soaked up a lot of the bumps you never really noticed. The Street with the suspension on track was very stiff and direct and required a bit of a rethink when it came to riding it fast. I'd love to try out the 1200rs on track one day and see how it compares. Cheers Cuban, thanks for the comments 😎💪
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Nice, thanks for sharing. Maybe you could try a softer damper setting and see how it goes? Below the "track" config there´s "sport", which seems to be a bit softer, especially at the rear.
@@cduartebr Hi! Ya I definitely could try the sport settings, I use Sport on the road most of the time and it feels quite good, though still a bit harsh for the commute. I've set it to comfort now for commuting and it feels great. Will spend the next track day dialling in the settings and see how it feels. Cheers!
If you could ask the owner what link pipe he's using I would appreciate it. Curious if he's using the eBay Chinese link pipe that's everywhere or if he found a different one.
Hi! The link pipe was made locally at a motorcycle exhaust fabrication shop.
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Ty for answering
@@shauns5278 No problem :)
I heard the Chinese one off eBay is complete garbage isn’t a good fit
@EpiceverythingProductions EverythingEmpire who's a sponsored stunt rider for Triumph actually has a review on it and was shocked by the quality. He had to manhandle it a little but it fit without any modding needed. It's likely going to be my next purchase. Though he specifically mentioned Xlai-motors as who he ordered from. I assume they're all nearly identical but guess you can't really be sure.
how is the handling for street triple compared to duke 790/890 and 390.thanks.i got duke 390,planning to switch to 790 or street triple.yay
The 790 feels a bit sharper than the street triple intially but the street triple is much more stable in the corners than the 790. Very different engines though, id suggest test riding both and seeing which one suits your style better. Hope that helps! :)
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs yay thanks a lot mate
When I win the Lotto.....but I hanker more toward the naked R. Lovely bike !
Awesome sound. You sound like David on a R6 haha.
I felt like David on the R6 😆
Street Triple > Speed Triple, yes I know, Speed Triple more power, better brakes more style, electronic suspension, but I think it might be to much, plus, I think the Street sounds better, ANGRIER!!! Thanks for the video! Hope you have a great week.
Congrats with the new wheels, may you have many happy miles!
Back on the saddle! Welcome back - Time for you to come chase the Mini...
Follow up question. What do you think about the RR vs the 765? I had a 765 ‘22. And I find it to have more character than the RR. I’m currently riding the RR. Looking forward to tuning it this month.
Also. What’s your camera setup?
They are quite different bikes to be honest. The Speed Triple RS is a better comparison. The speed RS just feels like a 765 with way more power. Amazing handling and power, light and flickable as well. Perfect upgrade from the 765RS. The speed RS is more of a sport tourer than a full on supersport like a s1000rr for example. Amazing bike though and loads of fun!
@@floyd_mphGoPro Hero 7 black with a GoPro mic adaptor and mic inside the helmet.
But sound of inline 3 from street triple 765 is way better ❤
I am under the impression we don't do the RR in SA? Correct me if I am wrong, but not even their website lists it. 💦
We do. I have one. And it’s awesome. Not as cheeky as the street triple 765. But it’s a beast and it pulls hard from low to upper midrange. However Triumph discontinued it.
We do have it but it's limited or special order now. It didn't sell very well.
Does this bike super uncomfortable for 188 cm 95 kg man as me?
@@wolkanthon You are 5cm taller than me but the same weight. I dont think youll be uncomfortable, the seating position takes some getting used to but its a lot more comfortable than a normal superbike like an RSV4, S1000RR etc. Slightly more relaxed ergonomics. I'd suggest going for a test ride if you can, but you should be fine comfort wise. Cheers!
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs thats good news because on video u said that u become tired and i thought that the bike was so uncomfortable, if its much comfortable than s1000rr thats super
In which country you live? Simply amazing ❤
Cape Town, South Africa 😀🇿🇦
Anyone acquiring one of these bikes, new or old, should check the suspension settings at the earliest opportunity. My 2024 came from the factory with the settings way off from the "Road" settings they were supposed to be at. One fork was set so soft it was making a loud "clunk" when I went over sharp bumps. Now I've got the front and back suspension dialed into the "Sport" setting according to the adjustment table in the owner's handbook, and no more clunk with much better handling. It seems that Triumph has an issue with outgoing quality inspections where the suspension settings are somehow missing from that checking process. Throughout the bike there are small colored markings where QA inspectors checked various things like bolts being tightened, but there are no colored markings on the fork tops to indicate the suspension settings were checked.
Wow that's pretty insane for a brand new bike! My bike was second hand so not sure how the previous owner was riding with the settings so wrong. Unless they didn't know any better?😅
Here's a scary thought - your bike may have been originally delivered back in 2018 with those incorrect settings from the factory. Nobody caught that in the Triumph outgoing factory inspection, at the dealership pre-delivery inspection, or when the new owner had the bike. Everyone made the dangerous assumption that the settings were per the owner's handbook specs as though they expected correct settings from the Showa factory. Only when you took ownership did someone follow through and actually check the settings! I doubt that anyone would intentionally or accidentally put the settings as they were on your bike, even if they were not very experienced at working on their own bikes.
I just wanted to mention that I have exchanged email messages with Triumph's Warranty Team in Hinckley. I pointed them to a CZcams video on the Wheelie Good TV channel which is about another Street Triple 765 RS owner's experiences correcting suspension settings on his new bike. You might want to check that one out and take a look at comments posted by viewers. There are several comments indicating others have been delivered bikes with incorrect settings. I also pointed Triumph to this video of yours. Triumph has responded back indicating the concern is being channeled within their organization for appropriate consideration. My hopes are that it will lead to improved processes at the factory so that no bike leaves without having the settings confirmed to correct. And, I also hope that dealers will be flagged to keep a closer watch on outgoing bikes. In your case, it looks as though the settings were not checked in the original owner's delivery from the Triumph dealer. It also appears that you bought the bike second hand from the Triumph dealer in Cape Town based on what I saw in your previous video, so that's two misses right there.
@@rtg1018 Wow thanks for that update! very interesting! Seems like a lot of assumtipns are made but never checked. Thanks again.
I thought you already had a 765RS? WIth the Yoshi?
I sold that a few years ago 😅
@@DarkRiderMotovlogsAhh, do you regret it? Your videos on that one made me buy a Yoshi can on my Triple :P
@@jaron4512 Haha Nah not really. I had a Daytona 675R after that. This 2018 feels pretty much the same as the 2020. Just need an exhaust now 😅
Had a ‘22 Streeple. Best bike I’ve ever owned. I’m on the Speedy 1200RR good tech and all. But it can’t match the Streeple’s character. Watching from Pretoria. Love the Cape Coastal Vids.

A few years ago I took a round trip from Sir Lowrys Pass to Franschoek on my 1050....what a lovely piece of road , all the way from Sir Lowrys, Grabouw , Theewater Dam, magic !!
When I get mine, I am definitely going to take a cross country ride down that side to ride that route.... 💦
how did you change the speedometer layout? ive mostly seen that dual side butterfly style layout that i hate! the one you have is exactly what i wanted. edit - i did a test ride, i dont own the bike yet
You press the "Home" button then go to Display, then choose "Theme 01" then from there you can change the Style setting, there are 3 styles per Theme :) Hope that helps!
@@DarkRiderMotovlogs ohhh maaann! haha i'll have to visit the dealer again! its sadly about 150 miles away ! i was hellbent on the kawasaki z900 because the dealer is closer and its a good bike for long term usage (i plan to keep a bike for 10-15 years).
@@Razzer0693 Before you travel 150 miles to visit the dealer, I just wanted to comment to be sure you are not expecting to find that analog style tach selection on the newer model TFT displays from 2020 and later. Sadly, that analog style tach is to my knowledge only a choice on the earlier Street Triple RS models such as the 2018 & 2019s. My 2024 only has the butterfly style choices :(
@@rtg1018 oh damn that's why!!! Thanks for your comment, I was about to ring the service rep at the dealer to find out. It was extremely difficult to know the redline of the bike with their newer instrument cluster. The bike is absolutely amazing though. Although reliability is a question
Man that sucks seeing her go down, happy she is good tho this road is super tricky that is why I rode like a grandma last time.
Lekker to see you back on a Triumph. I almost ran over a small baboon here a few weeks back😂😂😂first time getting back there in like 3 years or something hectic like that

@@DarkRiderMotovlogs Bru tell me about it. Almost rode over the president's son😂
Good to see you back on a 765RS. I enjoyed the ride and glad you got the suspension sorted.
Thanks!
Why do you keep saying "this bike is on rooi els" it's Franschhoek, not rooi els.
Bru what are you smoking😂
What a BLAST on the ride, and I'm glad the person is ok after the experience, I think that given my lack of skills what happened is always a possibility for me. Did you set up the suspension with the manual or do you have your preference on doing that? If you do, I would like to request a suspension setup video, I know the manual specifies some settings but then I found people telling to measure this and that so its like.... Hmmm better not to touch, also, any brake fluid in particular to use? I was thinking about changing mine for Motul RBF660 and some EBC pads. (edited out setup question since it was responded to someone else)
Yeah glad she is ok! Got off very lucky considering what the rest of the pass is like! I just set it per the user manual for now, so set both legs to the "sports" settings and then once I am more comfortable with the bike I'll start making further tweaks like preload, compression and rebound etc. Brake fluid I just use Castrol DOT4, I only ride track once a month so I dont really need racing fluid and the higher boiling point as well as the extra cost that comes with it. Flushing the brakes takes around 5 mins so I just flush it with fresh fluid every few months or after a few track days to keep it sharp. I have however used Motul RBF660 before and at my speed I didnt really notice too much of a difference over regular DOT4. Pads I use the SBS HH Sintered. They give great performance and life but do require a bit of heat to get biting really hard.
What a wonderful road
4:33 and that's how I met your mother 😅

Thanks! I use a lapel mic with a dead cat wind cover. Inside the helmet behind the cheek pad. GoPro mic adaptor and a Hero 7. The helmet seems to make a big difference to wind noise. My ls2 was quite noisy compared to my current helmet which is a Scorpion Exo R1 Air Carbon.
