      NordVPN ... hmmmm
      If my goal is mass surveillance, especially of dissidents opposed to the neoliberal ideology and NWO. When I know that 5 eyes, 14 eyes etc, is such a common knowledge and Avoidance 101 for anybody out there with a brain.
      Then I would set out to form a honeypot, in a country not participating in any of those EYES schemes, with privacy laws that suggest freedom and non-repression, like Panama.
      I would fuel this company with a shitload of money, having service everywhere and a too good to be true network and availability. I would also be present in virtually every single social media influencer with any sort of rage, although that is a very costly thing to be, speaking from experience, although I have a product, that actually should sell itself.
      When Russia made an attempt to uncover the true intentions of that company, they declined and rephrased it as an attempt of the Russian government, to impose some sort of Russian firewall and keywords on them, which is bogus bullshit, as I know the political landscape in Russia pretty well.
      And that is why there are no servers of those companies present in Russia, because they do not want foreign agents in their Internet which is currently separating itself from the main Internet for reasons that would be too many to describe in this comment. Let me just say, that they are very good and valid reasons.
      So there we have this honeypot, which is giving himself away for -70% and whatnot, being hyped worldwide and by everyone. no need for any EYES, no need for any privacy laws or lack there of, when everybody is operating in your network and is giving you their full data, unencrypted voluntarily and by default.
      When things are too good to be true, they are usually exactly that. The same goes for Bitchute, the allegedly FreeSpeech, uncensored and unmonitored video platform, which has no viable sources of income whatsoever and yet operates masses of data which create costs that are in the hundreds of thousands. Allegedly using torrent and using the traffic and bandwidth of the users, only problem is, that this feature has never been enabled so they ARE hosting all the data somewhere. Where actually?
      And when you do a little digging, you stumble across IP addresses that you have seen before, from NordVPN and their many, many servers around the world. makes sense, since those servers are only there to forward traffic, they are not at all being used for data containment.
      So no, I will never use Bitchute to upload my videos and I will certainly not use NirdVPN, or any other mainstream VPN provider for that matter, just to be fair, because I am not an idiot.
      There is a well established service that is functioning, open-source, free and has proven itself over the years called TOR. All I said before put aside, VPN does not give you any form of privacy but only hides your IP and not even that very well, because it is not onion routing you.
      For the same reason I do not use Windows or the preference of the owner of this channel, MacOS, because also, no offense, I am not an idiot.
      ... and this comment is already way too long. Have a nice day everybody!

    The perfect example of losing two engines was Capt. Sully Sullenberg's ditching in the Hudson river!. He showed all of us pilots how to think outside of the box. Prior to his ditching, I would not have thought to ditch in a body of water (river, lake ocean). As a B-767 Captain, I have now brought this possibility into my thought process on takeoffs!

    Yes us Americans have to have 1500 hours to apply to the regional airlines. The major airlines have higher requirements but it depends on the airline. You can get into with less than 1500 hours based on having an avation degree or prior military flight training

    • @Jdrew27
      @Jdrew27 Před 4 lety +1

      @@joeboi1342 to my best knowledge the university has to be approved by the FAA. Which university's are approved? Besides the big name Embry riddle and UND I am not sure. I would reseach restricted atp. That is what gets you around the 1500 hour rule.

    • @jahbern
      @jahbern Před 3 lety +2

      @@joeboi1342 you asked this question ages ago, but I happen to be taking my daughter to a college visit tomorrow - and she is going for an "aviation" major. The schools she is looking at (WMU, Perdue, Embry Riddle, etc) have several aviation-type majors. Some call the major you would think of as "flying" something like Aviation Science or Aviation Flight Science. Those degrees include all the courses necessary to get all the way through commercial and multi-engine training, and then ATP. Then you can "major" in specific types of aircraft or careers. Or take them as electives - even things like aerobatics or float planes are electives. And for that reason, yes, these majors can start flying with fewer hours IF they complete the entire degree program. It's called an R-ATP program or Restricted Airline Transport Pilot certificate and allows pilots to be certified with fewer hours.

    Thanks for these videos. Having raised daughters who all teach plus my wife taught many years it's very clear that you have a natural ability to teach. You voice is very pleasant and smooth with that gorgeous Dutch accent. I pray that you have a happy, healthy and blessed aviation career. I've been to 164 nations and 48 states on business so when I retired last Autumn my travel agent computed that I had flown over 8,250,000 actual miles (about 22M reward miles). Most of that was based in DFW so I got spoiled that I very seldom had to make connections and when I did it was extremely rare to make more than one. We lived in a neighborhood almost exclusively filled with pilots and very senior flight attendants. Many times I knew most of the flight crew so we had lots of fun. Several times they would make wildly funny comments about me if we got into Alert 2 situations in order to try and put the passengers at ease by distracting them just enough.

It reminded me that once this girl I knew from my great church there in Mesa was a flight attendant and I was on a flight she worked. @St. Chase maybe because most people on CZcams might picture a man when they hear pilot. However, for an airline or a passenger it makes zero difference.

    Another great video Michelle. My understanding of Autoland, as my pilot friends tell me is that the pilot has to log at least 3 auto landings a year to stay current and most importantly, both the PIC and the aircraft involved must both be rated to do the autoland. It might be different in your airline. Most of the pilots I know who have been an inspiration to my virtual career, are from three British Airlines. As for VPN, there is a school of thought that says that trusting your online security exclusively to any one organisation whether it be NordVPN or any other, is itself a huge risk! You are trusting them with your data in the hope they will not themselves be targeted and you as a customer have to deal with the fall out. I have recently been researching VPN and for me the jury is still out at the moment. But I agree with you about the 737-800. I fly it a lot in the Simulator and I enjoy the flight planning and load management as much as the flying! Trying not to load it out of trim!! Have you ever flown the -900 variant? Any way I have gone on far too long! Keep them coming Michelle. Always learning from your experiences. Lee. UK

    I really appreciate your videos. I will look forward to the next video. One question I have for you if you can address in your future videos: do you think pilots jobs might be affected by increased use of automation? Are we likely to see self-flying planes in our lifetime? Also, best wishes for not having your life and career disrupted due to the corona virus situation.

    Love your Vlog. I went to the old Prescott College way long ago, the campus where Emery-Riddle is now based, and actually left a logbook with about 6 hours there...logged over two years in mostly 20-30 minute increments that my limited budget allowed LOL. My CFI was kind to let me do that. I moved to Colorado to go to grad school in archaeology, and by the time I contacted folks in Prescott to retrieve it, it had disappeared. Bummer. I probably could have jumped through some hoops to reclaim/certify those hours, but it was not a priority at the time. Prescott was a very sleepy airport then. I'm assuming it was in Prescott where you trained? If yes, is the Palace Bar still there? We did lots of rock climbing at Granite Dells...a beautiful spot. The college actually did offer a glider course that I started to take, but the tow pilot unfortunately augered-in his Citabria two weeks into the class (RIP) and the program ended. The engine threw a rod and he didn't have enough altitude. That Citabria was a great airplane. ...more fun and capability than a J-3, which is the other aircraft I've mostly flown. I'm definitely a taildragger lover. Take care and be well Michelle. Hope you all can get back to the flight deck soon.
