We'll be visiting Osaka this March, would you mind creating a video of the closest supermarket stores from Namba nankai station where we can buy vegetables, fruits, meat etc. to prepare meals for a week? Thank you in advance!

    Hello thank you for sharing an updated video! It is also very useful to see that there are vending machines for travel sim cards now. Not sure since the video was quite far, but does the vending machine also take credit card (mastercard/visa) for the cashless payment for the sim? Thanks!

    Thank you so much for this video! It helps tremendously. We are visiting Japan in July. I just wanted to clarify that if I am a tourist from the US, I would purchase "Kanku Tokuwari Rapi:t Ticket" which is both the base fare ticket and the express ticket? Also, is luggage safe on these trains?" I see the locks and wonder if I should choose a seat near the luggage storage. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!!

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan

      Hi! Thnak you for the comment. "Kanku Tokuwari Rapi:t Ticket" includes both the basic fare and the limited express fare. You can lock your luggage and it's safe, so don't worry. Althohgh you can choose the seat near the luggage storage, there is a partition between the luggage space and the cabin. I hope your trip will be a greater one, so if you have any other questions, do feel free to comment again.😊

    Hi Shiba Shiba, really like your video. Can I ask if they also sell ICOCA ticket at the Nankai ticket counter? And how long does it take to get to the Rapit platform from the ticket area? Thank you

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi! You can purchase an ICOCA card at the Nankai manned counter or the automatic ticket machine that is colored pink. However, ICOCA may be sold out due to the recent lack of semiconductors. Instead you can get ICOCA app.
      apps.apple.com/jp/app/icoca%E3%82%A2%E3%83%97%E3%83%AA/id6444271546
      It takes about 2 or 3 minutes from Nankai ticket area to the platform. If it is crowded, you need to wait for the elevator.
      I hope you will have a nice trip. If you have any other questions, do feel free to comment again.😊

    Hi Shiba-shiba nice to know you, I'm Rudy, I have a question, Better buy ICOCA card for Nankai Rapit which I've just to tap at gate or buy tickets from Vending/Ticket Machine. Btw it's a nice video and very useful info, can't wait for your next videos!!!

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  Před 4 měsíci

      Hi. I'm glad you like my videos. Even if you have an IC card such as ICOCA, you need to purchase a limited express ticket to take Rapi:t. This means you need to pay the limited express fare in addition to the basic fare. You can purchase a limited express ticket not only before going through the ticket gate but also at the platform. If you are concerned about using a ticket bending machine, you might want to visit the manned counter that is located next to the ticket bending machines. If you have any other questions, do feel to comment again.😊

    Hi ShibaShiba, thank you so much for the video. I’m going to be in osaka next week and plan to take the nankai rapit to get to namba. Quick question. The ticket you put into the gate at 4:37 mark (with the picture of the 4 trains), where do you buy that? Is it at the same machine? Or does the machine only issue the reservation ticket?

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Hello! In the video I used a "NANKAI ALL LINE 1-day Pass". It costs 2,000 yen and is sold at any station with a manned ticket counter. However, it is only available from October to November. This means that you cannot buy it when you arrive in Osaka next week. Fortunately, however, visitors from abroad can purchase the "NANKAI ALL LINE 2day Pass". For more information, see the following link.

      So sorry for the additional question, but in your previous video 1 year ago, you entered the gate to use the Rapit only with the ticket that you bought from the ticket machine. When returning to the airport to fly back home, is it common to take the same JR line back to the airport with all the luggage in tow? or does taking a bus or taxi a better option? Thanks for sharing this video!

    • @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan
      @Shiba-Shiba_TrainsInJapan  Před měsícem +1

      Hi! To go back to Kansai Airport, It is common to take the Nankai line (Rapi:t) or the JR line (HARUKA). In Japan taking taxi for a long distance costs too much. From Osaka Station to KIX, it will cost around 20,000 JPY. Both Rapi:t and HARUKA have large luggage space on board. If you have any other questions, feel free to comment again.😊

      Hi! Thank you for the comment. If you are sitting alone in a two-seater, you will not feel cramped with your suitcase. Hi! Thank you for the comment.
      To board Rapi:t, it is necessary to have a limited express ticket in addition to the basic fare ticket. In the video, I already had a basic fare ticket, which I used to go through the ticket gate at 4:37. Therefore, only a limited express ticket was purchased. If you don't have a ticket for the basic fare such as IC card like ICOCA, SUICA, PASMO and so on, you need to buy a basic fare ticket by selecting "When boarding section is the same with your limited express ticket" or "KANKU TOKUWARI Rapi:t TICKET (discount ticket)" at 3:56.
