I wanted a bike so bad when I was 16 but I feel like my story was a bit extreme, my parents told me I’d be kicked out of my house if I came home with a bike and I bought a house at 25 so I could buy my own bike. Bought my bike the next week 🤣
My parents told me that if I get a bike that they will not support me in any way financially so looks like I will be waiting till at least 21 :( currently 18, I don't want to wait like 4 years
LMAO I was 16 when I decided I wanted a motorcycle- I’M 21 NOW AND I’M PICKING UP MY NINJA 400 IN A FEW DAYS- my mom knows about my bike but my European dad literally gets angry just at the mention of me wanting to TRY motorcycles. My Asian mom is still skeptical about it because she’s worried about the chaotic traffic but she’s trying to be understanding. Where my mom is from, motorcycles are normal, it’s just where we are. My dad on the other hand has lost friends to motorcycle accidents, which I understand. Even one of my neighbours broke his neck and his wife forced him to sell his bike. But like…. I’m not them. My dad’s kind of a traditional person, very strongly opinionated. I understand his concern and like mentioned in this video, I’m aware that it’s dangerous, but to me the pros definitely outweigh the cons. I only have a learner’s driver’s license, so it’s not like I can drive around anywhere whenever. Same thing with riding, I only have a learner’s license at the moment but I don’t have to worry about sharing a car with my family. I bought my own silk set of gear, did courses with a riding school, bought my own bike and am paying for my own insurance. It’s one of the first big things I’ve really done in my life so far. It’s the result of the tedious process that makes the effort worth it. I’m excited for my bike!
@@RickyMoto picked up the bike!! Was a little nervous getting out of the parking lot but got a hang of it again! Unfortunately haven’t practiced since my course almost two months ago, but will be sure to put in lots of practice now that it’s home!
@@RickyMoto I’ve had it for less than 48 hours and dropped it twice, once on each side, both at standstills. I’m on the short end of a medium rider so I had to get people to help me pick it up… time to hit the gym.. Super lucky I had frame sliders installed, it could’ve been worse. So much for brand new..🥲 I think it was because both times I was on an unevenly paved road, is there any advice for those cases in particular, or should I just try to avoid those surfaces as much as I can?
The r3 is more of a sport style bike whereas the ktm is more of a naked style, r3 a bit slower than the ktm390 so if that’s a reason to get the ktm then go for it. Depends on what ur looking for, a cruiser or a sport style

R3 seems to be reliable and also has 2 cylinders. I am buying just for weekend rides. Not as a daily commuter. Ktm was too slow until 4th gear.

I was lucky because both my parents have bikes too so it was easy for me 😂💘

good thing im 21 and live on my own. Going to purchase my very first bike soon. Going with a honda grom or z125 pro. Cant decide yet :/
