If you left your family and never came back (cuz you died), naturally youd think the family would have grown bigger over the years so that you could have grandchildren.

      I noticed that quite a few years ago--but then I would imagine I'm quite a bit older than you, lol. Another object used in foreshadowing in that movie is the clock. Notice in the scene of Cinderella's early morning activities (in which she sings "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes"), when she calls the city clock "Old killjoy!" and tells her animal friends, "Even *he* [meaning the clock] orders me around!" Then, later on, as the hired carriage arrives at Cinderella's house, we see the clock again, signifying to Cinderella that she won't be able to go to the ball (she doesn't know the mice and birds have been making other plans). Finally, at the ball, we see the clock again when it begins to strike midnight (once again, it is "ordering her around").

    There's a fan theory that when Syndrome started out his revenge plan, he went to Edna to have her make him a super suit, & since she missed those days she probably was alright with making him a suit, but she included the cape because she sensed he wanted it for bad reasons & thought it could backfire on him like it did for other Supers.

    There's fan theory that the old woman at the beginning of the film is Anton Ego's mother. The old woman wore pink like Anton's mother in his flashback, & she clearly had experience in cooking, hence how Remy was able to learn from her cookbooks. Also, it's believed that given the flashback we get from Anton's childhood, he's so critical of other cooks because no one in his mind will ever be better than his mother. So, when Anton eats Remy's food, it reminds him of his mother who's probably too old to cook anymore, & it brings an additional meaning of the phrase "just like mom used to make."

    Another thing about "Love is an Open Door" is that Hans is regularly behind Anna in whatever they're doing (singing, dancing, climbing to the roof, etc), he looks genuinely shocked when Anna says "Sandwiches", and just in general the whole song doesn't sound right, like Anna and Hans are singing two different songs. Also, there's the song's placement in the movie, being in this first half of the movie, when most Disney love songs happen near the 2/3 mark, a few minutes before the climax.

    • @elisabethmariegaard6414
      @elisabethmariegaard6414 Před 4 měsíci +1

      Makes total sense. "Fixer Upper" which is an attentive love song about Anna and Kristoff is placed near the 2/3 mark. This song lures the audience to believe in those two since Anna spent more time with Kristoff and Hans. That can lead them to believe that Hans might be too good to be true. That's what happened at my first watch. Still, that betrayal hurts.

    If I were you guys, I'd replace Hans being the villain the entire time (a crappy twist one at that) with Jim Hawkins' solar-surfing skills in Treasure Planet. We see him riding on his solar-surfer at the beginning of the movie and near the end, when he and the crew are trying to escape while Treasure Planet's self-destructing, they realize that they don't have very much time left to avoid getting destroyed by the explosion. Jim sees the portal and that gives him an idea. The only way they can survive is by going through the portal and return to the Montressor Spaceport in one piece. Only he can use the holographic navigator to activate the button that leads to the spaceport. When a large chunk of debris lands on the ship, he gets another idea. Have John Silver use the debris to quickly make a solar-surfer out of it (minus the solar sail) so that Jim can be able to reach the portal in time. At the very last second, he succeeds just as the whole titular planet blows up right behind everyone and they all arrive back at the spaceport safe and sound. But as usual, you excluded the underrated masterpiece from this list in favor of that wretched and overrated Frozen. 🙄

    To add to the Wreck-It Ralph entry on the list, Turbo abandoned his game as an attempt to be the star of the other game. He, for the most part, achieved that as King Candy as the ruler of Sugar Rush, dethroning Vanellope. Also, Sugar Rush is a racing game, much like the game Turbo was originally from.

  • @Terastas
    @Terastas Před 5 měsíci +4

    4:30: Not only that, but during this part of the number, you can literally see Bruno creeping by hunched over on the second floor balcony behind them.
    Not only that, but after the part at where you cut the clip short, you can see him right in between the two looking down at them grooving with the rhythm.
    It's almost like Disney WANTED us to know he'd been inside the house all along. Or they were so confident that it was such a great segment that somebody said "Hey, I'll bet we could even put him right there in the scene and they still wouldn't know he was inside the house all along."
    16:30: The most telling thing of all is nothing that you mentioned. It's that King Candy knows who Ralph is, and knows what it means when someone has "gone Turbo", in contrast to the other new video game character, Sergeant Calhoun, who needed to be told these things. What this reveals is that King Candy has been in the arcade longer than Sugar Rush.

    in the original novel Esmeralda wasn't sentenced to burning but hanging (since her witchcraft crime also included attempted murder of Phoebus), and in the end Esmeralda died; at the charnel house people discovered a pair of skeletons: a deformed one (presumed Quaismodo) hugging another (presumed Esmeralda, Quasimodo having sought her corpse from the gallows), and when they tried to separate the couple Quasimodo's skeleton crumbled to dust
    since you mentioned animal transformation stories...in Greek myth Thebes was depicted as the center of most of the transformation stories
    and it's very telling for Disney's "Hercules": in the original myth, his "biological" mortal family & Megara were associated with the royal family of Thebes, and the film's city plotline was set in Thebes
    tragically StratoGale was only a teenager when she died

      That’s an interesting question. Maybe it’s not supposed to match anything and it’s just used to transport banished monsters? Cuz when Boo opens her door on the human world side it reveals the inside of her closet. But the steel door doesn’t open into anything when Sully reopens it. It’s just the frame like the deactivated doors in the door vault. Hmmm 🤔

    Those are some excellent moments of foreshadowing in Disney movies. Did you know that Edna’s stance on not including a cape with a suit and Syndrome’s death was foreshadowed much earlier in the film? It’s in the scene near the start of the film when Mr Incredible tried to apprehend Bomb Voyage at the bank and Buddy was interfering with the arrest. As Buddy was about to leave, Bomb Voyage placed a bomb on his cape and this caused Mr Incredible to grab onto Buddy’s cape to get the bomb off as he flies away. Which in turn allowed Bomb Voyage to escape. This moment not only foreshadows Buddy’s eventual demise, but also the mere fact that capes are a big hinderance to superheroes because if Mr Incredible didn’t notice that there was a bomb on Buddy’s cape, he would have died and if Buddy didn’t wear a cape in that moment, Bomb Voyage wouldn’t have placed a bomb on him.

    And that's exactly what happens; Tiana breaks it and he's gone.
    I'm feeling like I could also be overthinking it, but Ray's Evangeline (spelling's probably way off here) could even hint at his own fate; When he mentions the star, 2 characters mention it not being a firefly, but when Ray passes, he's up in the sky with it like it was destined to be - and heck, the other fireflies (and characters) even celebrated after they saw him up there.

    There was another piece of foreshadowing that Bruno didn't leave the Madrigal household by Dolores in "Encanto" during the song "We Don't Talk About Bruno." When she sings to Mirabel about hearing the rats, if you look on the second floor, you'll see Bruno walking along and then bopping his head to Dolores's singing.
    Stinky Pete telling the toys in "Toy Story 2" that they would be rotting in a landfill was not the only piece of foreshadowing he made for "Toy Story 3." In "Toy Story 2," Stinky Pete told Woody that he wouldn't be able to stop Andy from growing up and asked Woody if he believed that Andy would take him with him to college, and in "Toy Story 3," Andy grows up and he almost takes Woody with him to college, but Woody decides to remain with his friends instead.

      Yeah. When "Toy Story 3" was released in theaters, my siblings and I saw it with our cousins and aunts, and when they ended up in the furnace, my mom and aunts were crying. I was shocked and worried about what would happen to the toys in that scene, but I didn't understand why it made them cry. Of course, I too was internally panicking, "What's gonna happen now?! Somebody's gotta do something!" And my mom cried when Andy gives the toys to Bonnie.

    11:13 I didn't think of this one as a foreshadowing moment.
    11:33 This one on the other hand. Well, the trailers I saw of this movie before it came out and/or when it just came out didn't really tell me much about the events to expect in this movie other than the common family, in this case, mother-daughter troubles. So I didn't see any of the foreshadowing moments the when my family and I first watched it. But the second time around... Yeah.

    I wonder if there'd be anything in the Toy Story franchise foreshadowing Stinky Pete the Prospector warning Woody, Jessie and Bullseye that they'd end up spending a lifetime on a dime store shelf watching every other toy be sold, which happened to him for example. Not he cares about that happening to others, only that he didn't want it to happen to HIM again. Nothing about toys spending a lifetime on a dime store shelf could possible fit Toy Story 3 or the rest of the franchise from the third film on, right?

    nah fam, remember in the original planet of the apes in the cave scene with the doll? and the fact that it is earth but time traveled? Now remember the scene in the rise of the planet of the apes where the space ship says is lost in space? Now remember in the most recent movie the kingdom of the planet of the apes where the same cave is and the doll? and the fact that in the telescope they see something? and the signal they contacted at the end? what if they saw a spaceship the same one from the original movie and the one that got lost in the rise of the apes movie and thats the one they are contacting? WAY MORE BETTER FORSHADOWING and I figured that out myself without watching any videos
