1976 Lincoln Lipstick Edition for sale at Volo Auto Museum (V19591)

2,203 actual miles! Completely untouched original survivor. It is just as it left the factory. It's a "Garage find" not a barn find. Loaded with options including the drop dead gorgeous Lipstick Edition. Great documentation- original invoice, window sticker, build sheet and more. It also has a Marti Report.
The first owner bought it new in St Paul on May 22, 1976. He passed away shortly after. His widow stored it in their heated garage for 20 years. She would take it to a local service station to change the oil and have it cleaned. The 2nd owner is a collector and a Chevy dealer owner. He heard about the car and pursued purchasing it. He stored it 25 years, also keeping it serviced and cleaned by his own shop.
EXTERIOR: This mile long body is completely straight. No damage, dents or rust. If you don't want to be noticed, do not buy this car. There's nothing that's going to stand out more than 20 feet of lipstick red. The body has never been damaged or rusted, it is straight. The all original paint does have spider web cracking from age. It presents itself beautifully with a high gloss. It has optional premium white body side moldings, pinstripe, landau roof and aluminum wheels. Other features include the big chrome grill, hidden headlights and opera windows. The tires have been replaced because of age. All the glass is crystal clear. The chrome and trim are bright. Jambs are clean, weatherstrips are soft.
INTERIOR: Now that's an interior! Luxurious white leather seats with bright red accents. Red plush carpets and original mats still look new. It even has red seat belts, the rear ones are still in plastic. The dash area is mint. All the plastic is pristine, factory radio and power antenna still work, ashtray and lighter have not been used. It features all the power accessories, tilt wheel and 8-track quadraphonic stereo. Other than age cracks on driver side door strap it is still like new.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: This is a very well preserved, all original engine compartment. It still has assembly line ink stamps, grease pen markings and stickers. The big 460 motor still has the factory smog equipment. The air cleaner has all of it's hoses and duct work still hooked. It features power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and cruise control. The the battery was replaced and it has a built in battery tender.

The most amazing part of the car might be the grill, like new - you never see that on a Lincoln of that age.

The Electric POWER Vent windows on the front part of each door is one of the coolest options this cart has - the electric vent glass window lowers 1st then the main window follows it down - I had a 74 Thunderbird with that option !

I just hate when people take about Frank Cannon and the Continental Mark IV . He was a big FAT slob he should have been riding around on a FORK LIFT .This GORGEOUS LIPSTICK MARK IV should have a GORGEOUS women driving it like my wife .

Every month in 1976, the Mark IV got a new Luxury Group trim package. It started with the Silver Luxury Group, then the Gold Luxury Group followed by Saddle/White, Dark Jade/Light Jade, Red/Rose, Gold/Cream, Lipstick/White, Blue Diamond, Black Diamond - and the Versailles Option Luxury Group. And there were others!

Definitely a car for my mother on mothers day, she would drive it every day and wear the same color lipstick!
Car looks so much better in white. Red is just a tad vulgar even by mid 70's disco standards. Shame no moonroof, too. BTW, someone made a white lipstick edition CONVERTIBLE Mark IV. I saw some pictures. That was to die for!

When I was a kid
a friend's mother had a loaded MK4 with the optional convenience group which had power vents that I recall well went completely down!
Someone on Facebook insist that was not available on the 4 but on the 5

They started with 4 wheel disc brakes in 1975.
the car came with a hood pad but this car it is missing it .

Sure, the value of a vehicle like this would likely be affected by having higher miles. Especially considering its history and originality. However, equally important is caring for & maintaining the vehicle. Driving around locally to car shows and events probably wouldn't hurt the value much.
My Grandfather had a 1976 lipstick mark 4 I remember riding in it when I was 6 years old I thought it was a beautiful car unfortunately a year later it got stolen and they never found it
