- On "My Car Story" we're in Volo IL on 2-10-14.
We're looking at a 1966 Batmobile built by George Barris Kustoms.
In 1966 this car was the first car to be featured as a "Star" in every television episode of Batman and was also featured in Batman the movie.
Today I'm speaking with Brian Grams, Director of the Volo Auto Museum.
The car's located at Volo Auto Museum, 27582 Volo Village Rd., Volo IL 60073.

I know this is an old video, but when I was in this museum a number of years ago, I swear there were two different 1966 batmobiles. They both had batman-themed interiors, but they were very different. I distinctly remember how the steering wheels were completely different

When did George Barris build this car? From looking at it I believe it’s not one of the original three clones (bat mobile 2-4 - number 4 being the dragster) Barris built on oldies galaxy chassis
