16,723 actual mile survivor. It is about as close to new as they get. Gorgeous paint and the interior looks like it was just taken out of the wrapper. Documented with Marti Report which lists all the options, codes etc.
This was the largest luxury car in the world being produced in 1979. It would also be the last year before down sizing, this is the last of an era of land yachts.
EXTERIOR: Classic styling using a big chrome radiator shell, retractable lights, opera windows and continental trunk lid. The original tires were just replaced with correct dual stripe radials, it also has the optional turbine aluminum wheels. The body is pristine. There is no damage, not even a door dent. No signs of rust. The original paint is still amazing considering it's age. Beautiful Jubilee Gold Moondust, very elegant. It still has a glossy shine. It has white painted pinstripe from the factory. The rubber fillers between the bumper and body are not broken. The chrome is still very bright. The bumpers, grill, mirrors, stainless around the windows is all excellent. The aluminum wheels still have a nice luster. It has optional rocker moldings that look new still. The glass is crystal clear. The black bump strips are not nicked up. It has color matched body side moldings in excellent shape. The padded top is excellent. Door jambs are clean, weather strips are still soft.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car right now and it is practically brand new. I am just amazed that such a light color upholstery is still pristine looking. The leather is still soft. The dash in front of me is pristine. All the plastic wood grain, the chrome trim, the clear lenses are excellent. It has the optional quadrophonic 8-track digital stereo and a factory CB. The tilt wheel has no cracks in it. The plush carpets and floor mats still look like new. The door panels are in excellent shape. Overhead the visors and headliner are mint. It has lit vanity mirrors and map lights, all functional. Accessories include power windows, seat, lumbar, locks, antenna and trunk. It has reclining passenger seat, climate control, intermittent wipers and headlight convenience group. The defroster group includes heated mirrors.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is very well preserved just as it rolled out of the factory. The factory stickers, crayon markings and ink stamps are still throughout. The 400 motor has cruise control. Other features include power steering, power brakes and air conditioning. The underhood light works.

Oh my God what I wouldn't give to own this car. I remember these when I was growing up cruising down the road and I just love the way they look. Ultimate luxury and class. It's hard for me to find a gold paint that I really like, and I really do like this one. It's not gaudy it's a sophisticated gold.

LOVE these original survivors!!!! I'm not a huge fan of gold paints, but it is perfect for this beautiful Mark. The exterior and interior color package compliment each other perfectly. This car would satisfy the desires of anyone seeking a full-size luxury model. Having owned a Town Car years ago, I can testify that if one is looking for a smooth, quiet, comfortable car to own.

I have my grandparents 1979 Mark V. 7K miles & every option. MSRP was $19,500. Triple black, 400ci, custom AOD transmission, valve job for unleaded fuel, 4bbl intake & carb (Painted), true duel exhaust with looser converters & mild glass packs. Just uncorked, power gains are significant in 100hp & 100lbs torque in. A real runner & looker

An absolutely stunning vehicle! Further info for those interested: it's a Luxury Group option car, the Cream & Gold version (Cream leather upholstery with a choice of White, Cream or Gold for exterior paint and vinyl roof). The Jubilee Gold paint was a holdover from the previous year's Diamond Jubilee Edition, which commemorated the 75th anniversary of Lincoln.

79 was the last year for the full size model. I had the 79 T Bird version in burgundy with gold turbine wheels. Same except for the Continental hump and different grill on the front. Otherwise the same leather and interior, engine and size. You could recline that front seat and the hood ornament looked like it was in the next County.

The paint is beautiful! I don't think FoMoCo was using base coat clear coat at that time. The 'flaw' that he mentioned about the paint was probably a 'blush' in the metallic which was common at that time since these cars were painted by HUMANS. One guy on one side and another on the other side so the quality varied from side to side even though extra care was taken in the Lincoln plant.

Assuming you mean the video when you say "photography", I really don't think standing as we do is impeding the view of the vehicle by any significance during the video. And even then, the video is 11 minutes long of the vehicle non-stop spinning around. You will certainly be able to see every angle of the vehicle unobstructed if you watch the whole thing. Otherwise, we offer 106 pictures of the vehicle on our direct website.
