I never thought about carving a tail out of foam. I always just drew on the fur and made the tail and stuffed it with poly fil. I would also add a lining in the inside where the belt goes through since that will makes the foam less likely to rip. The body suit at least to me was the easiest since its mostly all big pieces and very easy to sew. Just gotta be organized on each piece take lots of pictures to know which goes to which haha. Overall pretty good job!
That's relieving to know that the body suit is pretty easy! And lining for the belt hole is a great idea! I can't believe I didn't think of that lol But yeah, I think for whatever tail I'll make next I'll stuff it instead of using foam.

Thank you! Yeah, I just gotta be careful of walking through doorways or falling over (my fursuit head makes me particularly clumsy)
I recommend getting a sewing machine less hand cramps and faster! Do lots of practice on it too :)
He’s got one just doesn’t want to ruin the fur because he’s not really good with sewing machines what he said in the other videos

i bought some chair seat foam and i need to glue em together but the foam may melt under the hot glue gun and one glue stick is taken by one line with the glue gun so it would take like a 100 glue sticks. how did you glue foam togethter
@crawlybeetles glue with what? hot glue gun? superglue? there surely is a economic yet efficient solution i am unaware of
I just use a hot glue gun and the "Gorilla" brand glue. The foam, if it's decent, won't melt. How does foam even melt? It might burn, but hot glue isn't that hot to burn something like that.
If you're gluing a whole tail or wings or whatever, yes you'll end up using at least 20-30 glue sticks, especially if they're small glue sticks. I used up a whole bag for the tail and wings alone.
AHAHAHA Gluing foam together is easy; you just put the hot glue on and hold the two pieces you're trying to glue together for a minute or so until it dries. I don't understand how that's hard or how to make that anymore clear. Just be patient. When I'm gluing I'm always listening to a movie, a CZcams video, or music in the background because it's very boring and takes time.
its me again :D. So... i take my stair foam and just gue ot together with a hot glue gun. Sounds easy, but by the time i finish using up 5th glue stick on the foam, the first one will allready have cooled down! My foam is like 10 cm up and like 100 cm to the sides (guessing those numbers rn) so i would have to apply glue to all that 100cm arena before sticking the foam together but by that time the glue is cooled down. And if i apply 1 glue stick and then apply foam, i wont be able to apply glue to the rest since me prying apart the foam to apply more glue will damage the glue i just applied! So heeelp my brain not smarts :
Oh yea and after i glue all those chair foam thingies together i will cut and shape it! After i get a automatic chainsaw-knife thingy everyone uses to cut foam. Or else my writsts hurty from hour long scissor cutting sessions
@@jackspedicy2711 I'm sorry I can't help you since I'm not actually in the same room as you. You sound really young. Just keep trying and you'll get better over time. Good luck in your fursuit making.
