  • A review of this longer range ebike. 65 miles throttle only range, 100 miles or more on pedal assist one. Those specs intrigued me for a folding ebike so I had to see what it was all about.

    That electric bike is the absolute best in terms of practicality and price. 99.99% of other electric bikes aren’t going to have a better value than that bike. Certainly there may be trade-offs in that bike but the huge battery capacity is something that Wildeway never give up on.

      Exactly, that's why I chose it. The best quality, range, and features for the money. The ability for it to fold is a good bonus

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  Před 6 měsíci

      @turboleggy You're probably talking about the downgraded version that has mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic, and the motor is 500 watts and peaks at 750 compared to the 750 watt motor that peaks at 1000 watts. The best upgrade is not to get the cheaper one. Otherwise, I only roll with a phone mount and a bag for the rear rack. Not really much to upgrade but that depends on your purpose for the bike

      @@j-rollz I have a emtb. Need something foldable that can be ok to take packrafting..as long as both bikes have the same durability then I think it's fine for me. If the cheaper one has worse components then maybe I'd reconsider but for $900 out the door (for friends to use when they rode with me, or grocerry store runs , and pack rafting) I figure I and they can pedal if need be. Or should I look at other used bikes? I mostly need something at a price I don't have to worry about leaving in public locked up or taking pack rafting...probably stay dry but if it turns over then idk...1k to 1.5k is probably what I'd be ok spending on this venture.

      The only real annoying thing about the bike is between 22-24mph it makes a weird motor noise. I still have not figured out exactly why. Other than that it's been great so far. No complaints. The battery has been a beast, It's never run out on any ride yet even when I push the bike hard.

      I have gone about 32 miles on just throttle and the battery only went down 1 bar. I could definitely see it going 25 miles each way. Many other factors exist like your weight and your terrain. I can't say for sure but it seems like it should under decent conditions

      Unfortunately, customer service wouldn't give it to me for some odd reason. They completely ignored me when i asked. They sent me a video to change the pedal assist setting only. I guess they don't want you messing with it, but I did find a manual on their website. This is the best I was able to find. It's not exactly the same, but it works similarly, just not simple to follow the way it's written.

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Im glad that the video was helpful to you. I also made a 4 months later video. I have not been able to discharge the battery, and the most I have done is 37 miles on throttle only, and it still had plenty of battery left. 3 bars out of 5, to be exact. There is an earlier review that someone else did, and they were able to get 65 miles on throttle only until the battery died. With pedal assist, you should be able to get around 100 miles, but so many factors can change that. Your cargo weight and terrain make a big difference in the battery life. If you want it, I believe it's a solid bike for the money. They have the 3.0, which is the downgraded version, but could possibly meet your needs if you're on a tighter budget.

    I know your just starting out with E-bikes and your Fw11, but one day you might want to upgrade the E-Bikes controller so you can go faster, but
    before you make upgrades, it would be great to have a recording for your channel of the current top speed with it's stock parts, It's only weakest point is the 750 watt motor, (which I would not upgrade unless the manufacturer said it was OK) but the controller you can upgrade and I've seen other You-tubers
    do it on there E bikes and gain 3 to 4 miles more per hour,
    Looking forward to test ride review's with this model, because it is a rare model to get a 32 AMP battery and still folds up.
    Also curious about the suspension over potholes in the city,

    The bike is on really good sale right now, so expect more views, was was wondering how you felt about the noise of it while riding at max speed? (I've watched enough E-bike reviews
    to pick up the ''singing'' or ''whinning'' noise coming from the motor or the tires and, that there is a slight difference out there between different brands, )

    • @j-rollz
      @j-rollz  Před 8 měsíci

      Your probably looking at their newly released downgraded version. It has mechanical brakes instead of hydraulic and a couple of other downgrades. As for the noise I get an annoying sound between 22 and 23mph for some reason. At higher speeds you will hear some noise. Remember it's not the highest end bike but it's satisfactory if you want a decent ebike.

      The Victrip is basically the same bike as the Wildeway, same manufacturer just different branding and colors. The Wallke H6 Max does have a 40ah battery but is different and more expensive.
