because it was 1-0 and late in the game im okay with him trying to go for the shot. but i would of been fuming if he missed his second chance cus he left harrison hanging with a clear shot on goal.
Roberts goal summed him up perfectly as a player and why he's championship level. He's played through in a 2v1 and instead of finishing the move with a simple pass, he ends up getting dispossessed. If he's not sold in the summer then it shows we have no ambition to progress as a club
He definitely needs selling aye. Especially when Newcastle are coming in with £10 million, might be able to bump it up to £11 million after that goal.
Agree with most of what you said t but Bielsa seems very keen on him. He appears to see things in Roberts that you and I don't. Oh well, I guess we'll have to see if Roberts can improve, can get to an acceptable standard, can get to be at a level that is good enough to be in the match-day squad. MB sees something, sees quite a lot in Roberts so what do I know. Glad he got his first goal - but even then he was lucky to get a second go at it after ballsing-up the initial chance!! Let's see if Roberts can come good next season. Anyways it's been a brilliant season.17 wins. Top half finish etc.. MOT
Harrison from Burnley game was the best I have seen him in a Leeds shirt. He played with confidence, everything fell right for him his touches and his pillow feet were absolutely awesome, sign him up.

Connor please tell me you are not saying that you rather see Tyler Roberts play instead of Rodrigo. I watch Robert's starting 7 games straight just runs around with hardly any significant contribution. This guy Rodrigo is class, touch, passing, vision and can score. He is really a proper footballer.
Love the way this team has been playing lately, you can see us pulling them slowly into our half, fast early on then slower once they get tired, but they do it all game, then play ball over into the space, movement of the whole team is amazing to watch, love it, ALAW

Glad Roberts got his goal, but ooh did he try to mess it up beforehand, lol. Was worried about Kiko but hey ho. Thought Cooper was ok but aerially got beaten in the 1st half. Delighted with the result and the tenacity shown. Ps the montage of Covid haircuts of Conor on the mill intro is awesome!!

@@andyd6338 I think you are right about Alioski, I also agree that we need an upgrade at LB. I was thinking more along the lines of keeping Alioski because of the moral-boosting enthusiasm he brings to the dressing room. Having him around the club for his wacky craziness. But just as a squad player. As a replacement LB when Tagliafico or Sosa or Perraud (would take any of them over Alioski, even Bertrand at a push, on a free) get injured or suspended.
Ps: I think one good game in five is a bit harsh on Alioski. I'd say he's now up to 3 or even 4 good games in 5 at the moment. But I know what you mean. He used to drive me nuts with his poor decision-making (I know, what on earth was he thinking when he started grappling with WELBECK in the box the other day) and his dodgy technique earlier in this amazing comeback season. 56 points!!! 17 wins!! it's been BRILLIANT!!! Come to N Wales, got some nice beaches around and the odd Brid too (if you’ve been to Brid and Rhyl you’ll know what I mean). Llandudno is lovely and Anglesey another ball game. On the way there’s a fantastic post office, village stores in a small village called Henllan, has the most amazing pies, pasties and sausage rolls....oh and a Leeds fan.
On to the match, nerves tingled with Casilla, but he did fine, not exceptional but fine. You are spot on regarding his passing, one was fantastic, rather surprised me at the time. Now if Meslier picked that up and did it consistently..,,oooff we’d have the best keeper on the planet.
Rodrigo is definitely a striker, not a bit like Raph, now Raph have you ever known such a generous player? Really impressed by his work ethic and PMA. Really chuffed with the result last night after a bit of a dodgy start. Think the two best things to come out of that game were the way the players performed in the second half with 8000 home fans swaying every decision of the refs. Also iv slagged harrison off for his crossing and end ball all season but the tackle he went into with ward-prowse (i think) was a proper leeds tackle and would have blown the roof off of elland road
Sheffield United already started their decline at the end of last season and it carried on into this season. They finished so high because of how well they started. We're on a continous upward trend that we will carry into next season. No second season syndrome for us.

As long as we get rid of the deadwood (roberts, forshaw, costa, kiko) and replace with quality there should be no collapse

@@gilbertwalker3222 Need to improve your football knowledge Egan,Stevens,McGoldrick,McBurnie, Berge,Ampadu,Burke and Ramsdale all playing international football at start of season though Berge injured early and McGoldrick retired in November.Just as many internationals as us!!!
Alioski and Dallas were the only certain starters for their country.Klich,Koch,Cooper and Roberts are not first choice players more than likely on the bench at the Euros,Rodrigo is fighting for his place in the squad that leaves Phillips with the best possible chance of playing and having a big impact in the summer.

Koch is a big part of Low’s plans for Germany. Phillips is starting for England. It’s just different levels (Spain, Germany and England) to Scotland and Ireland lad.

We had a deal for Harrison lined up end of last season, but when the season ran longer we had to renegotiate the fee higher. I think it was in the region of 8-10 mil so it has been done for quite some time even at 11 mil it’s a snip Harrison has been fantastic the last two seasons.
Rodrigo was by far the MOM ,,,,his best game for us. Looked disappointed when subbed. Great 3 points.,,,another double over a good Premier League team. MOT
You may have an issue with bielsa formation then as when we play 3 CBS we only have a number 10 in midfield. That's the formation. The wing backs in that formation come more central when defending to help out.

Totally agree with you Paul. 'The Don' was good but Bielsa is better. Both of similar character. Obsessives both. I started following Leeds in 1965 so I've lived through both the good and bad times (still scarred by Sunderland, the West Brom OFFSIDE goal, Wolves, Colchester and, above all, Bayern Munich in 75!!! Plus the various relegations and in particular the last 16 years in the wilderness). I give Bielsa the nod because I feel that Don had a better squad to work with, you know; Bremner, Giles, Bobby Collins, Norman, Jack, Alan, Peter, Eddie, Paul M, Mick, Paul R, Terry, Bates, Yorath, Jordan, O'Grady, Cherry, Johannson, Pearson, Greenhoff, McQueen, etc ... They've both done well but I feel that Bielsa has had to work with inferior quality. But my goodness how he's transformed players like Phillips, Dallas, Cooper, Ayling, Bamford, Harrison, Klich, Struijk, Ben White, Roberts, Berardi, Alioski, Poveda, Shackleton etc... (though the last four are not yet good enough to be starters in my opinion). So Bielsa gets my vote, just. Still buzzing over how brilliant our first season back has been. It's gone very well. Just a few points off qualifying for European footy. 17 wins etc... MOT!!!
