As an Ipswich supporter, it seems to me that Leeds were so focused on beating us (and we got stuffed) that you forgot that the other games are all worth 3 points, just the same.
Southampton are pressing as well, and Leeds have some outstanding players, yet there is a total lack of consistency.
For me, as a football supporter, the Measlier red card was justified, although I didn't like the Preston player acting like he had been shot.
As for the Dan James dive, not great, was it?
Having seen Leeds go from top class to poor in three days, I just hope that we can go from being stuffed at Leeds, back to our normal form against Leicester.

I'm watching Southampton v Swansea . Southampton absolutely swarming all over them with a very high tempo . It's like chalk and cheese compared to our approach earlier.
We play best when we have a high tempo but for some reason they seem to actively play a slower one.

I think Preston TACTICALLY out did us today. And Leeds just thought they could turn up and win after a big result the week before.

Daniel Farke is a elite level coach in the championship but if Leeds were to get promoted to the premier league and are last by December of 2024 then I know you'll want Daniel Farke out. If I were you I would start panicking.
We've seen this script before. Great results followed by ineptitude. The inconsistency in performances makes automatic promotion a pipe dream. Additional quality is desperately needed in the transfer window and Farke needs to take responsibility for the lethargic efforts on display in away games.
Conner, it is this simple, when the game is on the line Southampton capitalise and Leeds choke. They just don't have the quality, drive, desire, to do what they need to do.

Completely agree with everything you have said. This team is at a cross road of where we're going this season. Anyone with a brain can see players are either out of position or just playing bad. The stand out thing you said for me was Farke being reactive and not active. As it stands and unless we get some good signings in I can't see nothing happening this season. Not consistent enough for top 2 and not good enough to break teams down in one off games like the play offs.

You’re consistent at being inconsistent. That’s your downfall. Need to win back to back games and especially if you beat a rival that convincingly that you’re trying to catch. It’s just so poor. Sad even. You know the champ is the one league where not being consistent really is the downfall for sides trying to get automatics. That cluster in the play offs all are there due to the inconsistent nature of their form. Think it’s going to be a play off lottery ticket at the end of the season. Archie Gray and Ampedou were forging a super partnership in midfield. Gray was only ever a stand-in full back and shouldn't be subjected to the roasting he has endured today. I just hope the lad isn't shot to pieces by this. Farke totally at fault here.
7 of the goals Piroe has scored have been the first or second goal in a game. He’s scored 4 goals in matches we won by the one goal, a few match winning goals. Only goal he scored when we were really comfortable in a match, was the Ipswich goal to make it 4. He should do better with that chance today. He’s good at arriving into the box late, great tackle by the Preston player on him second half. I still back Piroe to get 20 goals this season.

Every team Leeds play will be bang up for it, Leeds only get up for the huge games against the top 2, then they think they can just turn up and win elsewhere. Then we get out battled and fail to get results. Farke needs to take come criticism, we have one of the best squads but we do zero rotation, even over a busy Christmas period. I think the central midfield was blocked, so we couldn't start the GEARS - so everything was going wide. They have blocked the central midfield playmakers. So, we need to counter that. ALSO a new Goal Keeper, can't keep making excuses for him. This is not a U21 game, you are playing in a professional league.
We need an extra midfielder for away matches against the likes of preston stoke etc. Teams know what leeds are going to do & Farke needs to change his style

Few times this season when we have dropped points we’ve been dire mainly today stoke Sunderland Southampton… it’s not asif in those games we’ve played well but not won we literally haven’t turned up and it’s inexcusable..

Stubborn managers can be such a fucking nightmare. He’s found his favourite 11 and just refuses to deviate now. This is the perfect game to give other players a start - Gruev, Gnonto, Anthony.. even Firpo or Joseph. Rest your strongest players and give subs an opportunity to prove themselves with proper minutes against a lesser opposition. Instead we put out the same team that is quite clearly knackered, Archie has needed a rest for weeks and we have a natural RB on the fucking field.. madness.

Have been saying this from day one, we will not finish in the top two or in the playoffs with this manager. Starts with the same 11 every game. He plays Spencer at LB and not RB, leaves Byram on the bench after keeper sent off. He has no tactic plan when we are losing. Waited almost 20minutes to make a change after keeper got sent off. Also I think the players are mentally and physically spent from lack of rotation. Am losing the will to watch leeds while Farke is our manager
Archie Gray is appalling at right back. Too lightweight and is non existent when a half decent winger runs at him.
He could have cost us several goals today and has cost us many others.

I'm not a Meslier fan, i think he's to blame today and truth be told i want us to get Johannson from rotherham this jan, but at the same time i'm not going to pin it 100% on him. He was our worst player but I don't want us to let other players walk free. Struijk was the only one with the balls to step up to the spot - nothing good other than that. Genuinely starting to feel like winning the playoffs is more likely than top 2.

Summerville was taken off because he was struggling with the after-effects of a bad challenge in the first half. Aside from that, I agree with you. We now have to bounce back against West Brom, which will not be easy.
