I had the privilege of doing drums for the entire album up at Taylor Larson's studio in January of 2016. We are all very excited to bring this album to your ears. Yes, I recorded the album with a splash cymbal, but didn't have one on my kit for the playthrough.

SO MUCH TO SAY. FKN VOCALS ARE OFF THE CHARTS, I LOVE THE CHORUS! Jason's guitar playing is sick, composition, technique, dynamics, just insane. The diversity of his writing freaks me out. Mark's solo is other-worldly, so many interesting phrases and sick bends. Also, SE signature confirmed!
Haha, I got to see his SE super early at a Periphery master class and it was super top secret. Meant I could save up for one ahead of time tho so I can't wait for that.

I didn't see any 5 against 4 polyrythms, and I haven't exactly tried counting but there's probably a 5/4 time signature in dat breakdown (or 5/8). I think it ends up adding to 4/4 through out the bar though.

Just had to make sure! lel. Perpiphery is God. played through all their albums literally hundreds of times on repeat.
Yea man. It was pretty unbelievable how diverse it was and all-encompassing. I hope they do throw down a bit more polyrythm breakdowns with singing/screaming. There was less than the usual amount which was fine because the album was incredible; just hope they keep mixing it up. Rarely when a band changes so significantly will I still be emphatic about their new album. Periphery won the lottery with their selection of band members.
