The LEGO Space Centre is arguably one of the best sets I have seen, so much attention to detail and lots of scope for anyone who enjoys rockets and space.
I see this set is now available in the USA, a very late arrival indeed.
The LEGO Space Shuttle will be in a upcoming review..!

Channels entering can choose to autoplay this LEGO rocket review and that simple act may sway my thoughts at the time I review the entries. Support works better than spam!
Please submit via video response to this review a short video of a LEGO rocket, any design having a failed launch. The key to winning is showing clearly the destruction on screen. If it's funny that's good as well. Only one entry per youtube channel. There are three prizes detailed in the video up for grabs.
There is also a funny random comment prize which will also land a prize. Being rocket related is going to help.
DO NOT have personal details in your entry. If your under 16 please ask permission with your parents or guardians before entering the contest.
All prizes will be posted from Australia via registered mail; you will need to supply to me a full postal address to receive the prizes, your address will be kept private and not used by third parties should you win. Some countries may apply a tax on the incoming goods; leokimvideo is not liable to pay this landing tax fee.

@johnairlines8 yes, this lego space stuff was something I wanted as a kid but we never had the money for it, only in my adult life have I been able to afford lego, and boy this space center is a great set
the lego space theme has been around for many years, the early sets were very simple in design and did not have the specialized bricks we see today

it's difficult for me to know what really works here. Each video I tend to experiment with something new, thats something i strive to do.

@usafisasome quite a few tubers pointed out it look like the Ariaine rocket, and sure i see that in this design as well.
The rocket i really want to see a model of is the failed N1 Russian moon rocket, amazing how the Saturn 5 is so well known but the N1 is literally buried by the past.

@SloopStudios lots of lego fans ask me to review star wars sets, the issue is they would be difficult to pull into little action intros. Generally the sets are a small part of a much bigger story
The stand alone play factor in a star wars lego set is I feel fairly limited. The ones my daugher received were quickly transformed into something totally different, so much for the star wars saga in our house

@simierski It looks a little like it BUT NASA has launch vehicles like this as well. Dare say there is not much scope when designing flying bombs
The build books are loaded with NASA facts and history, I even heard NASA had a huge part to play in the development of these sets

weird how it was available where I live first, so often lego fans tell me the USA gets the first look at new sets

@Gearheadtheman no, if you look at all my contests they run for 3 months, been like that for years and years
also this set has only juts been released in the USA, so there will be tubers playing catch up to enter into the contest
jesus i watched this back when it came out (i was 6) and the intro is still one of the best quality clips i've ever seen on youtube
like that could be a real movie, great camera angles, and the basic special effects makes this really enjoyable
this is definitely not a easy cash grab toy review

Thanks for making this contest. Your videos always have a nice behind the scenes look at how they were made. After watching, I feel that we can make a good video with lessons learned from all you videos. This is very inspirering and has me working with my kids to try and make a quality video to enter.

I can't wait for part two. I agree, video-recording for Lego films is a dieing art. Although, I don't do it, I think it's really kinda cool because the explosions are real. I respect this so much because it's not only done, but done well! :D This is probably your best intro ever.
@toppertwist i find if the lego has a good theme it's real easy to make a nice intro, i struggle to think of how I would present a star wars set as its only a small part of a much larger story
i think one of my fav small sets is the ATM bank bank robber minifigure collection, sure it's small it can have attached to it a gritty little story
the lego space center you see here is a stunner, and i wanted to make sure i showed it in the best light i could
@tommywing97 the beauty of lego is you can add or subtract whatever you desire, i was a little surprised the middle engine was totally missing

@SloopStudios yes, the way I checked it was put it through as a google search, it does not come up as a web joke and it's funny in a different lego sort of way, it was a comment from the early part of the contest.

@dcgitz just did the judging, I can tell you most tuners did not have this video up as autoplay and have epic failed out of the contest.
There is a clear winner BUT there are 3 other entries which are locked up with the same score, it will come down to their crash footage, very few actually showed the crash on screen!
@BifferVyp3r yes, i am not sure how the astronaut ever makes it back to earth, maybe thats why lego did a space shuttle model as well

@TheRealOzMuerte there IS a annotation indicating it IS now available in the USA, but it was a very much delayed release
interesting as the US lego tubers tell me the sets land there first, i am finding out thats not always the case
@CarFreakzBoy the failed Russian N1 was also as large, not sure of it's exact length. Years ago now I did see a Saturn 5 at the KSC Florida, and it's something you need to view from a distance due to it's size. Up close it's massive.

@The5ClonesCollab not sure, BUT if you go to lego website and select Germany look up the lego space sets and see if it's there.
Considering it has Werner in the set it should be in Germany.

@legoboy874 it closes around late june, july 2011. I now longer put hard end dates on contests as so many who enter leave it to the last days, it would be nice if we see entries landing all the time
if it seems there is no interest in the contest it will close early, and sure this has happened before
@DumDumShow considering it took 2 weeks to shoot the first half of the intro thats time I will never be paid for in my life.

I picked this set up today reduced to 29 pounds. Once I had built it and came and re watched this video and I agree with everything you say Leo. This is an excellent set!

@JadenJoey years ago on the 25th space shuttle they did have a school teacher as crew, sadly this was the launch which is now etched in history for all the wrong reasons. I think it was 1986.
