I am hoping everyone is understanding this vital aspect to winning, it really helps if those who are entering read what I have up related to the contest
it also helps to look at the entries who have already landed, some excellent efforts so far
Love the special effects, it's a shame you don't see that kind of thing on TV any more, it just looks far more impressive than the computer generated alternative which seems to have taken over in the industry.
Why does every single video from leokimvideo have so many pointless dislikes?
Cause some of them mostly don't know taste of animation or they are australian likes

@RobertMProductions the smoke which came with my very cheap smoke machine was literally dressed up water, if you can obtain the real deal from theater supplies you will hopefully see a huge difference.
one issue is it's so tempting for sellers to water down the smoke fluid and sell it for top dollar.

@AgentHarry2010 yes, but it seems the US consumers really look at the piece per price equation. As a tuber pointed out to me in the build book of each set there is a log off all the parts in the set. Issue is this is unknown until you open the box.
Right now I am doing a review on the large lego rocket set and it was the same price as Garmadons fortress, but to me the rocket set seem to be far better value. It builds a huge model with lots of good details.
These LEGO videos are nostalgic
I think boxes are bigger than their bags because it's so you can put the complete set in the box because Legos are compressed into small bags but when built it is bigger than the bag.

@leokimvideo - I was quite taken with the gun scenes to be frank! Using a cement mixer to make the background - genius! Is that how thunderbirds did the car scenes - I was always trying to work it out and suddenly with your video it all clicks into place!
I wonder if it can be done with trains...?

I was hoping that a video i did on this subject a few weeks back would set off a official response, dare say they are too busy counting the profits
We both would dream of the USA prices here in Oz, having the big sets set at double the price seems to me to be very unfair indeed.

@MultiBrian04 hi, the contest details are sort of being chosen by the audience, it does look like it will be video response and i am looking carefully at what the audience suggests
often their ideas are far better than mine

Your reviews and videos are really good, I'm from Australia like you and i totally agree with the large price difference. I'm a fan of the Ninjago sets and i find it quite hard to get them cheap. Im interested to have a go at getting 3rd place or maybe even higher , having multiples of the Ninjago sets is good because when you play the game you are allowed to have multiple copies of cards in your battle deck. My thoughts are probably a video response, keep up the good work! :)
@firetooth102 yes, I used a silver felt tip pen to do the radio, the gun was spray painted

@MrLegoLuigi98 yes and it's important to know girls like to play with lego as well, my daughter loves those ninjago spinners and all the minifigures
@Damocles178 it seems so many tubers are hooked on lego stop motions, ( and doing real good stopmotion takes HEAPS of time, I would class my work as piano wire puppets. The trick is keep the edits real tight.
Not sure if you watch Lazy Town, look how the camera never moves but the characters move in front of the camera, there is a very good reason why!

this video took a little too long to make, not sure if it will be that popular as it seems lego city stuff is far less popular than other themes lego present
The set I have is similar,but opposite. The set name I have is "Police Pursuit" which came with 184 pcs.The police officer's car was almost like a sports car because of the size of the car wasn't so chunky like other police cars and it had wings on the back with extra detailing. It also came with a pick up truck with a crook to drive with a safe in the back with a hundred dollars. The USA retail price was $19.87 dollars.Its very fun to build with its easy steps.You might have a chance finding this set in Walmart or other stores.
That is awesome! I had a similar idea for a car chase done in the Michael Bay style, but with Hotwheels cars. I'll have to give it a try now.

this set was released where I live many months before the USA release, it was marked as an exclusive set and the lego website indicated this as well
seems it's now on worldwide release, did your's have exclusive set markings on the box?
@SuperLegofan99 yes here in Australia it's all over the shelves, it's full retail price is $39, if there is enough interest in this contest I will expand it and buy more sets.
not sure exactly how popular lego city police is compared to say ninjago or star wars
@simierski you know I shot a version with guns and one without, I mailed out the opening segment to some friends asking about the gun theme but none replied....not sure what that was telling me!
So the guns stayed for better or worse, some will not like it and said so.
Thunderbirds used a very clever rolling road many times in vehicle scenes, the real trick with there's was it incorporated three different speeds to the rotating environment passing by the camera,
Normally I HATE people who film it instead of stopmotion, YOU seem to be the only person who can pull it off.

@Gearheadtheman spraying down the greens aids in a cool environment for the spooky smoke effect ,if I did not spray it down the smoke would just rise
@99JediDrew with every car chase there is always a reason why, if you are to have parts of the video set up the action my advice it get to the actual car chase real quick, this contest is all about how well you can keep the action coming
the sound coming from the engines of the red sports car and the police car are actually from a Chick Hicks Shake N Go

@martin0mac2000 i am using ZR smoke fluid, yes it's a Aldi smoke machine but the fluid which comes with it is more like water than smoke fluid

right now I am asking tubers to tell me if they want a comment based contest or video response style, one issue with comment based contests is massive amounts of spam comments, so maybe tubers would prefer to do video responses.
the audience will decide which way the comp will go, hope that covers it.
@furybrosstudios i would suggest whatever happens it has to be active, the winner will have the best action and not let the audience rest.

Great special effects and it show stop motion always has and always will have a place in our hearts :)
The Desert Eagle interestingly first make me think of another real weapon, the Ruger Mk. III that I've seen that was silver just like that. Though I found it fittingly ironic that you chose a pistol designed to shoot engine blocks out of vehicles, yet blew out his tire still. That was just funny in a very good way n.n I will be glad to check out more of your work soon.

@HankAmericanEngine make sure whatever you show is in focus and put your spin on the review, I see far too many toy reviewers just copying what other say and do, be bold and do something different believe me the audience will like you for doing so
I live in Australia and ordered the set 4441 from Korea and found a little surprise in the box a plastic lego storage box to store spare bits
@GeeMeisterOfCee well I just did a mega bloks fire station review which had a massive box and cost half the amount as the lego fire station
I do also see lego are now reducing their box sizes, maybe mr enviroment had a whisper in their ear

i think LEGO makes the boxes large so they can show all the conponets of the set, like in a car chase scene spread out around the box, without squishing them together.

I know there are no bad guys, but according to the box, the guy in the sports car with the silver sunglasses to me, I'll call him the speeder because there is a police car behind him.
@ColumbiaAndHoodRiver it was a very cheap one Aldi sells, from memory it was $50 but the smoke fluid it comes with is basically dressed up water
Aldi tend to rotate their stock so you will have to keep a close eye on their weekly stocks in your country
@Lepper36 thats a great offer but I can't take it up, I tend to slightly burn everything I touch..lol
the sets I get the most mail about to review is the lego star wars sets, thats a tricky one to pull off as the theme around the kits tends to be fairly limited as it needs lots of other star wars stuff to interact with
i am looking out for the lego space rockets, I feel there will be a failed launch of sorts!

@BeanMeister22 i dare saw the box bloat is all about the sales pitch in the shops, big expensive boxes sell easier than small expensive boxes
LEGO doesn’t do guns in LEGO city because they want it to be good for kids and doesn’t encourage them to do bad things but they put some on Star Wars and some other themes

the lego so many have asked me to look into is the star wars lego, tricky to make it look interesting as each item is a small part of what is a much bigger story
hope you get through hospital ok, they are places I try to steer clear of.
@WORRO01 sir you know the gun I chose for this chase is because of your review, i actually know nothing about guns as where I live they literally don't exist, you would find it difficult to sleep without having your little friends beside the bed.

I think this should be a Video Response Contest. People should respond with a stop-motion of whatever theme they choose, and you select a winner. I'd like to prove that I'm a hard worker who'd go the distance to win any prize, small or large. Also, this set is so rare (where I live) I think it deserves to be a stop-motion contest.

@barberbookie can you explain to me why I have to pay almost double for my lego compared to those in the USA, the AUD and USD are worth the same so it's not a currency exchange issue
a fair price where i live would make me love it more as well
