Why would anyone over the age of 18 get a prepaid debit card, go to a bank and get a real debit card. A credit card isn't the only option and credit cards aren't bad. If you think credit cards are bad it's because you're too irresponsible to read the fine print and or don't pay them back just spend up a storm.
I'm 13. I buy eBay giftcards as well as Amazon but I want to buy something that support the company since they are really nice and not just a resell. I'm using my own money not my parents, and they don't have a credit card. Is there anyway to shop online without a credit card? I thought about a PayPal giftcard but I tested making an account but you can't actually use it without a credit card and need to fully validate it. Please I need help.
kirshy bar greendot is fraud. I bought one 2 weeks ago. I registered it like normal, but I couldn't buy anything with it. The card was always declined... Then they took -7.50 out on the first day for monthly fee... I thought of calling to get it canceled. But i'm sure they wont refund my money. 💀
Yes, I have one + it has plenty of cool features I was using the prepaid PNC card but it sucks you can’t take pictures of checks, can’t load a check @ atm no savings account nor can you transfer money it’s completely useless

I have TurboTax pre paid card and my mother aswell they blocked her card out of no where and it took up to three weeks to get it unblocked now I'm kinda worried loading money on my card do u have any good prepaid card you recommend
When I try to register the card it's asking me for my private info and I'm not comfortable doing that. I don't recall a card asking me for my s.s number. Any ideas?
tweety34ful Unfortunately these cards get a bad rep because there are fees associated with it. This is to keep criminals away because they often gravitate toward these cards that THEY THINK won't require you to register your personal identity. It's the same as a credit or debit card only with fees. What's funny is that people call the company fraud when MAJOR companies like Wal-Mart, Target, CVS, etc. Sells them. I want people to stop and think about that for a sec. If they're not for you, they're not for you. Purchase a gift card then thst actually reads Gift Card on the front.

They have monthly charges, Plus never ever use a prepay card at gas pumps, that's the easy way for fraud.

Honestly they want your SS number for fraud and legally some states REQUIRE banks to have that
