Hi Stephanie, I found you during the lockdown and what a blessing it has been. We are bombarded daily with negativity that sometimes makes life unbearable. You are a joyful light for me and many throughout the world. Thank you so much! I'm planning a pilgrimage of sorts to Cathar country (it's on my bucket list) and will make my way to Chateau Lalande. Btw, I live in Rhode Island, the smallest state in the USA.
I just love how everyone who works at the Chateau leaves their mark. Do you assign them jobs or do they chose what to do? The post box is a treasure.

From what I have gathered: They have chores but Stephanie has said that she tries to see where the personal interests lie and go from there if possible. And I think they are free to also be creative on their own. (However, I think they consult Stephanie when it is major decisions on aesthetics or such )
I so look forward to your videos my Friday morning ritual here in Australia watching you with my toast and coffee. Your so lucky to have Marie such a great friend.... We all need a Marie in our life.

The French Tourist Board should be in her hands completely as she delivers the history that is completely captivating , seeing the Hotel was like a memory for me as it featured what was always and still is one of my favourite fabrics as a chair cushion !

The Chateau Diaries , In one of the very first of you Vlogs I remember yo saying how much you would love a Theatre for an Orchestra, I remember thinking to myself ! I bet she will one day so hand onto the dream Stephanie. That fabrics was at La Mirande Hotel in Auvignon in the yellow and turquoise bedroom you filmed, the cushion was on the chair and another tub chair was covered in it beside the curtain, I can’t remember the name but it is a high end house ! Tried to track it down ! Jo

Ha! In the hotel room there is a beautiful cushion on the right. I have a scrap (large scrap) of that fabric. It's in a slightly different colour way. I'm inspired to get on and use it now. Fabulous vlog 💐
My form mistress and Maths teacher paid for me to go on a school trip Arles for a week! I went to a South London Girls school of a 1000 pupils. Remember going to the Palace in Avignon ... I was amazed to be taken to several wine tasting events at 15...loved it..returned to lovely memories
