I am sure the Nightingales woke up to hear their melody sung. They applaud & I applaud your sweet intonations... & your mother's voice was so unexpectedly strong and pure & in perfect pitch! You two could sing fairy songs & children's rhymes and lullabies in harmony & sell "The LaLande Fairy Duet Album"! What a magical treehouse and forest to hunt for fairies.... I must read this author!! Peter O'Toole the Irish actor did a movie about Fairies/ or Faeries ...called "Fairies" I think. It was set at the turn of the last century & it was delightful ...perhaps at the same time this French author was writing about Fairies. Those cornflowers couldn't be any bluer than your eyes... Marie Antoinette's eyes must have been a shade of blue-purple if they matched! 🧚🧚♂🧚♀

I cannot believe I missed this episode! But now I'm glad because I'm often sad that I've watched them all. This was like a tiny birthday present (on the 23rd), and it was so magical and delightful. I've looked at the most beautiful metal fairy art that moves with the wind that I think would be so perfect behind the chapel or where you go for your Easter egg hunt. I used to have bird or squirrel feeders that attached to trees that looked like whimsical old men's faces. I'll try to find them and send them to you. They're such a surprise for both adults and children.
I think I've seen that metal fairy art you're talking about & they're beautiful silvery things playing in the wind.... you've inspired me to look for it again! I love gnomes & fairies & have miniature ones scattered around my rock gardens and flower beds. Stephanie is truly magical in her approach to life. She brings out the best in all of us!! 🧚🧚♂🧚♀

This episode was absolutely magical from the pearls to the sunset to the magical breakfast basket and the picnic in the river, with cornflowers under porcelain cornflowers, and the fairy! And massive fairy cave and singing. Beautiful moments!

The cornflowers were an expression of Marie Antoinette's German heritage. The blue cornflowers specifically were a nod to Prussian blue.

I loved this vlog. I loved what you did with the picnic basket. Your mini duet with mummy gave me goosebumps. So beautiful.
I use to wear a strand of pearls everyday. Ranging from a simple strand to more elegant pieces depending on the occasion. I have fallen out of the habit this past 1.5 years, but I still love them so much!
That pan du chocolat looked so delicious. I am a bread-a-holic so it all looked like such treats.

Just magical! And I love picknicks. We are very lucky to have a beautiful park with many (hidden) picknick spots right here in Arnhem. In summer I enjoy packing blankets and wine and bags with lots of food for everyone on my bike and risk my life riding to the park with it all. Worth it every time : )

The Chateau Diaries The best thing about Alnwick are the Rope walkways hanging between the trees, children love them and so do the Oldies, wobbly but fun ! so if ever you build ! As I Am Sure you will one day ! Try to incorporate as they add to the magic, Alnwick. Is wonderful but essentially commercial with A restaurant inside the treehouse and of course Harry Potter brings in tourists.
