We are, selfishly, glad to see you back. Our prayers continue for Dean, your family, and you. The losses, both physical and familial, make growing older one of the most difficult times of our lives.
That fire was a beast! It seemed it was raising its hot “middle finger” at the FDNY and saying the words that go with that gesture. The reply came quickly, “You’re outta here!!” Take care of yourself, please. And, know we stand beside you! ❤️🔥🚒❤️🔥

Nice catch John. Sometimes these small fires are more interesting than the big ones especially when you catch them before water is on the fire. Enjoy listening to the radio traffic and watching the tactics.

You and Skyler! God bless you! I grew up in Bushwick, and watched it burn down in the 60s/70s. SCARY! Almost every night. Me as a little kid. Sirens. Lift your head. Sniff. Eyes still closed. No smell of smoke. Head dropped back on pillow. And that was "normal"...
Don't sweat the small stuff. You do a great job. You can't control mother nature. It still looked great with the rain.

Still praying for you, Dean, and the rest of the family. These things hit hard, and when you're not recovered from the first one and a second hits it just leaves you almost numb. You do sound a bit tired, and not sure if this is still travel weary, or if this is because you're working on coping. I hope you are trying to get some decent sleep even with the rash of fires since Christmas.
Quite a welcome home. But you beat the FDNY putting it out which is hard to do. Despite the rain and the hose spray this came out good. Also that fire was so bright I didn’t notice the camera light at all. Good job. Prayers still going out for your brother.
Just in case you aren’t aware the city of New York has just cut the FDNY annual budget and therefore they are dealing with firefighter shortage’s throughout the city. Probably the reason it took the time it did to get water on the fire. Majority of companies are short a fireman that now leaves a job to be done by a fireman already doing one job.
Illegals come first to Democrat politicians, and to at least half of Republican politicians, aka the uniparty, who are NOT working for we the people.

I missed you the past few days and assumed you were dealing with family issues and your brother's health. My prayers are with your brother and your family. This was a fantastic video and a great catch under difficult weather conditions. You called the 2nd alarm decision! The original fire apartment was an inferno and the extension to the floor above was captured perfectly.Although you made no comment, I was blown away by the 2 tennants captured early on evacuating via the fire escape: That should be a video on exactly how to do it.

Great response! Good to have you back. Looking at the comments about delay of water on the fire. From an outsiders view I wonder if in the old days (back in the 60’s), would the initial attack have been much quicker on more aggressive, but the number of members being transported to the hospital being excessive. Just a thought. Regardless, appreciate what you do John and definitely appreciate what the members do!!!!!
