I cannot even begin to put into words how I feel about this. First I find out she did this in Swedish...then I find out how near perfect her Swedish is...I simply just cannot right now.
Oh my god, that accent!! It's just so magical! Greetings from Sweden!
+Garraway Prox I totally agree, this touches my soul way too much!!
I voted for this in the semi-final, and i'm so happy it passed! The Swedish version touches me in a special way since i'm Swedish myself. I wish u good luck in the final, Birgit! I'll definately vote for u there as well!:
one word: FANTASTIC
Good Luck ESTONIA !!!!!! Love this version in Swedish to !!!!!
Serious!!! This is soooooo beautiful, even in swedish!! She sings with hardly any accent at all, almost perfect swedish! Great job Birgit, 12points from Sweden!! :p
Like an angel! Beautiful girl with a beautiful voice and song. 12p from Sweden
You're amazing!! Greetings from Sweden! Heja Estland! :)
I really like this. Good pronunciation too, I don't need to look at the lyrics to be able to hear what she sings. Well done Birgit! The song is growing on me too! All the best!
OMG SO BEAUTIFUL
Gorgeous!
The Estonian accent sounds like a soft Finnish accent when she's singing in Swedish, but it's a very charming accent and doesn't sound bad at all .....
Allready there ;) Greetings from Estonia!
Imeilus! Rootsi keele hääldus on ka üsna hea, kuigi mõned kohad vajaksid veel kõpitsemist :). Aga tõesti, tubli töö.
lovely in any language
Härligt!
Beautiful work! Greetings from the UK ^.^
Really hope it makes it to the final!
Well, the Estonian Swedish or "estlandssvenska / estnisk svenska" as we call it in Sweden, is the official dialect of Swedish in Estonia.
What I heard, she had not the typical features of the Estonian Swedish, just a few. This dialect does not pronounce "g" like a hard "j" before e, i, y, ä, ö as standard Swedish does.
I have more examples if you want, no matter which dialect you want to have! ;)
Pole viga,päris hea.
Your swedish is great! Well done! 😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
eestlane ikka ütleb pole paha, päris hea, hääldust peab veel viimistlema jne jne jne jne. Mis kuradi jutt! väga kõva töö on selle taga. Väga väga hästi tehtud lood erinevates keeltes. Edu ja ÕNNE!
I speak Swedish and I also speak Finnish. I really mean it when I say that Birgit pronounces Swedish near perfect! There is a slight slight Finnish/Estonian-accent but hey she pronounces the Swedish letters u, ö, å as any other swede! It's quite clear to me that there has been a Swede involved during this recording because she pronounces the words as they are spoken and not as they are written.
As aldrig (aldri), jag (ja), och (o), igen (ijen). They are all correctly pronounced.
Kuulasin läbi kõik versioonid. Huvitav, isegi rootsi keeles oli ilus. Hoian pöialt, kes teeb tööd, saab ka väärilise tasu
Laula seda veel ka soome keeles, kui sa oskad ka soome keelt.:-)
Pole üldsegi paha :)
Really good actually! Words that sound a little bit strange is some (but not all) words with ö (e.g. "börjar" 1:13), they sound too flat, and the same with some words (but not all) with a (e.g. "bra" in 0:35).
oo- juhtusin täpselt minut aega pealu uploadi lõppu vaatama :D
isiklik rekord :D
Tark tüdruk, Sa peadki põhjamaadele muljet avaldama.
Aga ootan kannatamatult ka ingliskeelseid subtiitreid.
Edu Sulle , I -ne (vist) last ootav eurovisioonil osaleja !
She has a great pronunciation, she sounds like she's from Gotland a bit.
the dialect on Gotland is nice.. But Birgit sings in like FinnishSwede...
Väga huvitav varjant! :D
sooviks teksti siia eraldi ka kui võimalik, tahaks kaasa laulda aga videos olev tekst on natuke viitega, ette tänades selle laulu suur fänn:)
Me olen eestist
Hey, friends from Sweden: what does the obvious Estonian accent sound like to you?:))
I never understand what is the difference in pronouncing "y" and "u" in Swedish? Both sound as soft "o" for me. But when one pronounces "y", I usually perceive it as "i". I'm studying Swedish, but I have problems with correct pronunciation of those two vowels ("y" and "u").
O is /u/, because of U is German /ü/, and Y is closer to /i/ from /ü/, but not definitely neither /i/ nor /ü/.
That`s why /o/ is Å
Maybe the main thing that gives her accent away is the pronunciation of y and u which are more akin to the Estonian pronunciation of ü and u
Yes, it`s difficult for your neighbours to divide your U and Y))) Sometimes I `d been wondered, why you need also the letter Å. Later I have understood - this is the sound`s line from behind to the front (Å, O, U, Y I)
Ma armastan selle laul. Aga... Who did the translation to Swedish? You can't say "Det finns aldrig någon återgång" in Swedish. It sounds horrible. :-( Also, "Snön ska smälta" sounds like Google Translate. "Snön kommer smälta" is better. Oh, I wish that Birgit is reading this, because I really hope that she will win! :-)
Ålandska
It's pretty good actually, but sure, she sings with an very distinct accent.
It sounds like finland swedish
@@hencytjoe She did a very talented work whit this. Yes, her accent reminds me of the Swedish that is spoken in Finland and we Swedes just love that accent
Hardly any accent? Are you deaf? Still pretty cute though.
Sina oled nii hea. See on rootsi keelt.
