    I’d love to hear more about the process of getting a job as an esthetician. How to prepare for your interviews, what kind of questions they ask or have asked you, your physical appearance (appropriate attire, makeup, hair) and how you should present yourself the day of your interview ✨💛

    Thank you sm!! I’m 17 and I just graduated school and this helped a lot!! I’m gonna go to laser school too and I’m super excited. I just have one question. We’re you nervous about state board and taking your exam? I’m so nervous and I would be really appreciate your advice.

    • @emmakendall8182
      @emmakendall8182  Před 4 lety +3

      If you are referring to the state board to become an Esthetician, HELL YES! lol I was very nervous. To becoming a laser tech, there is no state board.

    I know this doesn't apply to you, but it reminded me of a concern I have. I do have fine lines, wrinkles, sun spots, etc. Have you seen your colleagues struggle to get/keep clients because their skin isn't flawless?

    Do you have to go into cosmetology school to be able to move on to esthetician school? Or can you just go straight into esthetician school?

  • @tabitha5694
    @tabitha5694 Před 4 lety

    It’s really interesting that you keep referring to your clients as “patients”.. very indicative of the subtype you’re servicing. I work at an Aveda salon/spa and the language is very much encouraged to call them “guests”. Kinda funny how we’re trained to categorize our clientele.

    • @TheMinerLife
      @TheMinerLife Před 3 lety +2

      It’s bc she’s a medical (a)esthetician so she’s technically right in saying patients I think.

    • @tabitha5694
      @tabitha5694 Před 3 lety

      @@TheMinerLife oh, I totally get it! I was just commenting on the differences in language in different esthetician settings. We’re all so different and I love that we have so much diversity within our industry.
